I got Ether Dragon and GPL I Forgive You when the shop opened, then went back around noon and picked up Cadillacquer Orchid and Swamp Gloss Feed Me. They had caught my eye but I was unsure about them before.
I'm pretty pleased with my cart (s) xD The ones I got in the morning are sorta similar in vibe to some shades I already have, so I wasn't panic buying *too much* with that in mind. The ones I decided to get later were more outside my comfort zone but would be completely unique to my collection. I'm excited!

I ended up deciding last night I wanted 8 polishes lmao. I got the cult classics that didn't have a cap-shake your shamrock, ghoblins and ghoulies, sour apple rings- got I forgive you and rosewater. Decided to get cherry blossom because it was the one I was initially excited about. Plus the lack of swatches didn't make me feel confident in skipping it. After doing some research I got mysterious uranus and ether dragon. I knew those were gonna sell out fast so I checked out right when it opened.
Went a little crazy but this was only my second PPU. I'm planning to buy very little next month... Hopefully I stick to that.

Two new to me products - the heel stick and the magic magnetic top coat. I kept going back and forth with Dam Ahhhh! But took it out at the last minute. It looks so pretty but close to several polishes I already have. I’m not a polish “collector” and try to not have two many similar polishes. I also went back and forth with Sour Apple Rings. I just recently bought cirque electric daisy and while they aren’t dupes they are pretty close. I love a neon and green polish and am just so drawn to this one. It can't be used without a topcoat and it isn't going to fix difficult polish. But when you can cut out an hour of your time?? I think it's worth it lol
Because usually you need to magnetize each coat of the polish including the top coat for a decent outcome. If I'm being extra, (I have linked here my process if you want it) I will put one layer down regularly, magnetize the second, third, and top coat. But that's if I want to take the time. And still, it's one less round. What I usually do is one thin layer over my base coat for the color mostly, and then I paint them until the color is opaque (still a bit thicker bc the particles need to move). It's usually 3 total, or 2 if I have a cream base. Then I go in each finger one by one on one hand first, paint this top coat, magnetize for 1 min until all 5 are done. Then I do my regular TC and magnetize that for 1 min, and add my quick dry drops for 15-30 seconds. Swit h to my other hand and do the same process all the way through.
Doing it that way means you are only using the magnet twice- once for the polish, once for the top coat instead on minimum 3 usually 4 times. And the result is very very similar. It's still not a quick process (some people do 30 seconds or 45) but you do actually need more time for it to work. It's 30 min max instead of 50-60.
No! Before!! It melts the layers and let's you magnetize, then you can use your TC and magnetize that too. If you have fast dry drops- I use those after sitting for 60 seconds with my top coat under the magnet to help it set in a crisper line. It matters less with velvet. If you want me to find my overly detailed post about what I do, I can look for it for you

I've used opi, baroness x, and I believe essie. I think they all are pretty similar. Baroness x is a fantastic proce point. 2 drops is a joke. I use like 4 per nail, more if my nails are at their longest
I forgot to mention this also but if you are thinking of buying those drops from baroness, the acetone antidote is also FANTASTIC. and the scents are all really lovely. (There's unscented as well)
Stuck to my plan to buy Sour Apple Rings and the G&G QDTC only, though I wavered for a minute about Shake Your Shamrock. But I decided they were too similar to get at the same time and I can wait for SYS to come back around later. It was adorable that my teens came in at 7:45 to wake me up to make sure I didn't miss my "nail polish checkout", lol. (And they are not into beauty stuff AT ALL.)
they really are - they have their teenagery moments but they really are sweet kids :D One of them will only paint his nails black so I can occasionally share in manis with him, but my daughter is reallllly not into any of it :D

Really happy I wasn’t swayed by all the extra pretty polishes, and just stuck to the two I actively dream out, so I let myself branch out and get some lotion and acetone antidote, which I’ve never tried. I’m so stoked I got the boxy pouch, too! My husband is a vintage movie buff.
The acetone antidote is great. I've ordered it now like 3x and the bottle lasts a few months! Love you nail choices. I added octo-alien onto my order at the last second because my bf loved it so much! I've never tried any of the polish so I'm excited 😆
I set my alarm and managed to snag all of the ones on my wishlist in time! Sour Apple Rings is definitely out of my comfort zone but I want to branch out. I really hope for my wallet's sake that the next PPU has nothing I want.

- Shake Your Shamrock (Dreamland) and Goblins and Ghoulies (Polished For Days) - both of these I already own, but I'm grabbing a backup. I've never actually finished a bottle of nail polish, well aside from like top coats, but I'm seeing serious usage with both of these and I think I might actually run out. I'm also picking up a second Goblin and Ghoulies to gift to a friend. They really liked it when they saw it on me.
- Frosted Lights (LynBDesigns) - my coloring is a bit odd, but I've found I really like cool toned baby blues on me, so it looks like a fun one
- Soup Apple Rings (Atomic) - I've regretted not buying this one every time I see it pop up in pics
- Seven Ravens (Vapid) - I passed up Psionic (Phoenix) last PPU because I knew Seven Ravens was coming back this month and I thought they seemed kind of similar. But now I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to snag Seven Ravens. I feel like I've seen a lot of people interested in this one and it's the only one on my list with a cap. I really want this one though, because I'm starting a new job soonish. I'm like 95% sure my typical bright/loud nail polish choices will be fine there, but I'll probably want to go fairly tame for a little while in the beginning (before busting out the Sour Apple Rings) and Seven Ravens seems like a really nice, not too in your face pink, but with a bit of fun with the magnetic stripe. Perfect way for me to have some fun while keeping it low-key for a bit at first.
The only one I'm really debating on is DRK Magnetic Top Coat. I'm already spending more than I should, but I feel like it would be helpful to have, especially if I can snag Seven Ravens.
ETA: I did just throw in the magnetic top coat and everything on my cart went through so I think I'm good! I'll just have to skip the next couple PPU's because I've blown my nail polish budget for the next couple of months

I’ve never heard of this before for PPU! I’ve heard of other boxes doing group buys if they don’t typically ship to your country (I believe Little Box of Horrors does this) but that’s it. I don’t believe I’ve seen anyone who does anything like what you’re asking for PPU.

I read somewhere on the facebook group that there are around 1000 people on the site when it opens, crazy! So that explains why even high caps can sell out fast. I think from the ones on your list Fishnet Stockings is the only one that might sell out on the first day and maybe Orchid but who knows! Sour Apple Rings luckily doesn't have a cap.

I ended up deciding last night I wanted 8 polishes lmao. I got the cult classics that didn't have a cap-shake your shamrock, ghoblins and ghoulies, sour apple rings- got I forgive you and rosewater. Decided to get cherry blossom because it was the one I was initially excited about. Plus the lack of swatches didn't make me feel confident in skipping it. After doing some research I got mysterious uranus and ether dragon. I knew those were gonna sell out fast so I checked out right when it opened. Went a little crazy but this was only my second PPU. I'm planning to buy very little next month... Hopefully I stick to that.

It can't be used without a topcoat and it isn't going to fix difficult polish. But when you can cut out an hour of your time?? I think it's worth it lol
Just out of curiosity, how does it cut down on time? You still need to magnetise each finger like normal right? Never tried this kind of top coat
Because usually you need to magnetize each coat of the polish including the top coat for a decent outcome. If I'm being extra, (I have linked here my process if you want it) I will put one layer down regularly, magnetize the second, third, and top coat. But that's if I want to take the time. And still, it's one less round. What I usually do is one thin layer over my base coat for the color mostly, and then I paint them until the color is opaque (still a bit thicker bc the particles need to move). It's usually 3 total, or 2 if I have a cream base. Then I go in each finger one by one on one hand first, paint this top coat, magnetize for 1 min until all 5 are done. Then I do my regular TC and magnetize that for 1 min, and add my quick dry drops for 15-30 seconds. Swit h to my other hand and do the same process all the way through. Doing it that way means you are only using the magnet twice- once for the polish, once for the top coat instead on minimum 3 usually 4 times. And the result is very very similar. It's still not a quick process (some people do 30 seconds or 45) but you do actually need more time for it to work. It's 30 min max instead of 50-60.
When it comes to magnetics, anything that saves time is super!! You use this after QDTC, right?
No! Before!! It melts the layers and let's you magnetize, then you can use your TC and magnetize that too. If you have fast dry drops- I use those after sitting for 60 seconds with my top coat under the magnet to help it set in a crisper line. It matters less with velvet. If you want me to find my overly detailed post about what I do, I can look for it for you

I've used opi, baroness x, and I believe essie. I think they all are pretty similar. Baroness x is a fantastic proce point. 2 drops is a joke. I use like 4 per nail, more if my nails are at their longest

I forgot to mention this also but if you are thinking of buying those drops from baroness, the acetone antidote is also FANTASTIC. and the scents are all really lovely. (There's unscented as well)
Stuck to my plan to buy Sour Apple Rings and the G&G QDTC only, though I wavered for a minute about Shake Your Shamrock. But I decided they were too similar to get at the same time and I can wait for SYS to come back around later. It was adorable that my teens came in at 7:45 to wake me up to make sure I didn't miss my "nail polish checkout", lol. (And they are not into beauty stuff AT ALL.)

they really are - they have their teenagery moments but they really are sweet kids :D One of them will only paint his nails black so I can occasionally share in manis with him, but my daughter is reallllly not into any of it :D

I’m so stoked I got the boxy pouch, too! My husband is a vintage movie buff.
The acetone antidote is great. I've ordered it now like 3x and the bottle lasts a few months! Love you nail choices. I added octo-alien onto my order at the last second because my bf loved it so much! I've never tried any of the polish so I'm excited 😆

Can't edit without image disappearing so here's a comment: I bought a backup of Shamrock because it's truly spectacular. Missed out on Goblin so figured this was my chance! Pure joy looked like a cute pastel blurple flakie so I added it on a whim And I replenished my PPU nail care products. The last time I ordered from PPU was last July (I behaved so well lol) and I'm almost out of the cuticle oil set and the bluebird cuticle balm is so good.. I wanted to be sure I can manage until the next PPU rewind if needed 😅

You know those dreams where you absolutely cannot do something? You cannot run, or dial a phone number, or open your school locker combination? I dreamt last night that I couldn’t check out of the PPU site. 🙄 Picked up Ether Dragon, I Forgive You, Shake Your Shamrock and Gloss Boss as well as the Bluebird cuticle balm (love those!) I also picked up I Axolotl Questions from Lūmen’s shop. Now to sort by “bestselling” and watch how it all plays out.

Can't wait for 11am! I have the following in my cart: - Shake Your Shamrock (Dreamland) and Goblins and Ghoulies (Polished For Days) - both of these I already own, but I'm grabbing a backup. I've never actually finished a bottle of nail polish, well aside from like top coats, but I'm seeing serious usage with both of these and I think I might actually run out. I'm also picking up a second Goblin and Ghoulies to gift to a friend. They really liked it when they saw it on me. - Frosted Lights (LynBDesigns) - my coloring is a bit odd, but I've found I really like cool toned baby blues on me, so it looks like a fun one - Soup Apple Rings (Atomic) - I've regretted not buying this one every time I see it pop up in pics - Seven Ravens (Vapid) - I passed up Psionic (Phoenix) last PPU because I knew Seven Ravens was coming back this month and I thought they seemed kind of similar. But now I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to snag Seven Ravens. I feel like I've seen a lot of people interested in this one and it's the only one on my list with a cap. I really want this one though, because I'm starting a new job soonish. I'm like 95% sure my typical bright/loud nail polish choices will be fine there, but I'll probably want to go fairly tame for a little while in the beginning (before busting out the Sour Apple Rings) and Seven Ravens seems like a really nice, not too in your face pink, but with a bit of fun with the magnetic stripe. Perfect way for me to have some fun while keeping it low-key for a bit at first. The only one I'm really debating on is DRK Magnetic Top Coat. I'm already spending more than I should, but I feel like it would be helpful to have, especially if I can snag Seven Ravens. ETA: I did just throw in the magnetic top coat and everything on my cart went through so I think I'm good! I'll just have to skip the next couple PPU's because I've blown my nail polish budget for the next couple of months

Yes - last I checked (like an hour or so) it hadn't sold out yet. I thought I had seen a lot of people talking about it, but I was also looking at the Vapid Facebook recently so maybe that's why it stuck in my brain and I was overestimating it's popularity.

Question: does anyone know of anyone doing mini bottles or splitting from this PPU? I’m new to PPU and have a lot id like to try but my wallet disagrees!
I know I’ve seen someone doing this in the FB PPU group, but I can’t find it now - maybe she doesn’t do it every month? There’s a couple of FB PPU groups, I’d join them & ask there. It runs thru the weekend, so it might not be too late to get some of the ones that you want 😊
I’ve never heard of this before for PPU! I’ve heard of other boxes doing group buys if they don’t typically ship to your country (I believe Little Box of Horrors does this) but that’s it. I don’t believe I’ve seen anyone who does anything like what you’re asking for PPU. What polishes are you thinking about?

Do I need to be ready to check out at 11 a.m. on the dot? I'm after The Lost Diadem by Colores de Carol and Orchid by Cadillacquer, though I probably should've stayed out of here because my list is growing just by looking at everyone else's lists. :) ETA: Now I have Sour Apple Rings, Funfetti, Naked or Not and Fishnet Stockings 2.0 in my cart. This is shameful, but I don't care!
I read somewhere on the facebook group that there are around 1000 people on the site when it opens, crazy! So that explains why even high caps can sell out fast. I think from the ones on your list Fishnet Stockings is the only one that might sell out on the first day and maybe Orchid but who knows! Sour Apple Rings luckily doesn't have a cap.
