It brings you to Warwick Mall in 2008 but your phone dies while you're walking around because it has a proprietary charger so you accidentally miss the bus back and the mall cops harass you in front of the Food Court until one of your parents pull up 30 minutes after the mall closes
I remember that guy kicking me out for wearing a Korn t-shirt that said "Still a fucking freak" on the back. I bought it in the mall! He wouldn't even let me put a jacket over it and stay, it was straight to being kicked out.
The cops think the thieves had a scanner: apparently they abandoned it in Pawtucket when the BOLO went out, and the cops recovered it. Minimal damage overall.
I'm new to RI and every time I go to Woonsocket my opinion flips between shit-hole and underrated gem. I'm sorry but I really just don't understand your town.
I've lived in Woonsocket a long time. On one hand, autumn fest, French farmers market, decent restaurants, stadium theatre. There's a park in every section of the city. All the different church fairs and markets. On The other hand, homelessness, drugs and poverty.
Was on main St with a friend when some lady in a bathrobe and slippers got off the bus. She was looking for community care alliance. Some program or social services in Providence sent her here. My Puerto Rican friend helped her because she spoke no English.
I have never seen so many people down and out on the streets as I have in the last few years
as someone who just moved here, this would be awesome! its hard to make plans when i hear about a different hiking trail or something else i want to do damn near to every single day. I'm too indecisive!
Ok I would actually LOVE this. I moved here recently and am blown away by all the tiny but beautiful areas maintained by "land trusts." I wish there was a meta-organization for the land trusts that could cooperate to achieve something like this.
I think that's a good idea for published service, but I'm not sure it's a good idea for a mystery bus to be specifically designed to dump unprepared hikers in the less accessible parts of the state.
I'm not sure if it's too cynically capitalistic of me, but my first thought was to partner with local businesses and chambers of commerce and bring people somewhere new with a coupon to use when they get there.
Seems like a fun and buzz-y way to get the word out about your, idk, artesian olive oil business by sponsoring the bus and giving all the riders half off coupons or something.
Kill time, see something new, score a deal on a local product? I could see that being appealing.

The Eastbay is a bit of a mystery to me, and I’m not gonna lie. The bridge construction isn’t going to alleviate that lol very curious to hear other peoples mystery Rhode Island spots.
Hahahahaha, the lowest tax bracket in Belgium in 25%. 15,200 to 26830 you pay 40% income tax. 26,830 to 46,440 is 45%, and anything over 46,440 you pay 50% income tax!
"nOt OnLy Is PuBlIc TrAnSpOrT fReE iN bRuSsElS" but they spent even more tax money on busses to nowhere!
Fuck, I thought it was bad here.

Fucking mall cops at RI Mall didn't stop the skate punks that stole my car back in 98. Still salty about that.

Pretty sure he still works there
Woonsocket
My immediate thought. The right combination of French and fucked up.
I live in Woonsocket and I'm pretty sure it's the wrong amount of fucked up.

I was so bummed out when they cancelled the Boston to Woonsocket train line. It would make my annual trip home so much easier.
I don't know what the fuck went on with that company but someone should pickup that line. Virgin: New England make it happen.
>Virgin: New England make it happen. If there's any place to get the attention of virgins, it is definitely reddit. Good luck!
To a different hiking trail around the state each Saturday and Sunday morning, and then back into the city 3 hours later.
Yes! There are SO many in Smithfield.

Kennedy Plaza?
Always
The Central Landfill
It turns into a submarine and brings you to Block Island.
We already have that technology, bring on the duck boats!
In RI it isn't free, it only takes you to twin river via the Washington bridge.
Westerly
I was just in Brussels, I wish I knew about this!!
it says 'mystery', but it always goes to the Cranston Job Lot

i love the east bay!
It takes you to the abandoned Building #19 in Pawtucket that’s in the former Narragansett Park grandstand.
I was just getting lost on purpose today and feeing delighted.
None of this is true. Transport isn’t free, and this mystery bus doesn’t exist https://apnews.com/article/fact-check-brussels-mystery-bus-368682476199

OMG - I totally do this. There is a bus for me!
nah we don’t have cheerful places to take people in the US

Eww, complaining how other countries tax their citizens and what services they provide for those taxes.
And yet they're one of the happiest nations on earth. Ironic (or just fitting?) that you're so mad about their public services.
