Well, it looks like one is burrowing from directly underneath her so hiding isnt really an option. Otherwise, if she was clear in there with the bugs outside, I don't think they'd dig through the wall to get at her as long as the door remained closed. However, the room is very cramped and the bugs would probably start to dig into the walls to expand their space, and they'd probably eventually find her

Also that's not a real door. I am not confident you can close stall doors like you can real doors.

To balance out all the OP mods that make handling them easier. At least, that's why im considering it. Not that it'd do much, Vanilla Genetics Expanded + Kill/Hunt for me has completely broken my current colony. I select my enemies, hit 1 button, and laugh as my swarms of RabbitChickens and assorted bear-hybrids maul everything to death at lightspeed.

They never know instinctively where your pawns are. They just randomly start destroying things.

Yes and no. There's medieval toilets and basins that are emptied and filled by hand and there's advanced toilets that use plumbing pipes and water and drainage. With a dedicated cleaner you can use the medieval toilets your whole game and not be bothered. There's also research to compost waste for fertilizer, make sprinklers for irrigation and firefighting, and an option to make tribal coolers run on water. I never play without this mod.

In case someone needs to hear more features to be convinced to try it, there's central heating and AC (including freezers for mountain bases!), saunas and swimming pools, and a lite mode to remove the hygiene need or a "heavy" mode to add thirst as well.

and in the 'heavy' version of the mod, those all have a toggle in the options to turn off the parts you do not want to deal with.

Infestations give you a fair bit of leeway before they emerge. As long as he doesn't dawdle he should be able to get out no problem. Still, the colony is probably in for a rough evening - and I don't envy their plumber.
