My boy brought in half a walnut shell. He has beautiful teeth so I am constantly taking things out of his mouth. My husband "Hey! Those are for the squirrels! Don't eat that!"
Dude my dog is a super picky eater but will still beg for stuff I know he doesn't like. Just last night I got into an argument with him because he was *demanding* a piece of my popcorn. But he fucking hates popcorn! And I told him that! But did he listen?? Noooo. So I give him a piece. He holds it in his mouth for a sec, remembers he hates it, gets a disgusted look on his face, crinkled nose and all. Literally spits it out at me, huffs and puffs in disappointment and then proceeds to continue begging for more fucking popcorn.
This is a daily occurrence.
Titusā favorite thing is Matter, but he will spit out green olives if the other dogs arenāt looking. So they donāt see and come get it, heāll sit and chew a single sliced olive with his mouth wide open like itās stuck peanut butter until he can force it down
ice cubesš canāt open the freezer without him coming to get a cubey, he pouts if you donāt give him one lol, and if anyone sticks them in his water he fishes them out

The begging eyes for an ice cubeš
Mine also dies for the ice cubesā¦.she absolutely canāt live without ice. We donāt put them in her water anymore because she would just splash at them to try to get them out and makes a huge mess.
Yeah we figured that out quick too lol, sometimes though before I clean the ice tray Iāll stick them in instead of letting them melt in the drainš it makes for a good stimulation activity, he naps well after
Fresh Cottage cheese
Boiled or scrambled Eggs
Minced cooked Chicken meat
Cooked pumpkin & carrot with fish oil
Marie biscuits (only 3-5 a day allowed coz of general health reasons)
Different dog friendly chicken based treats available at the pet store
Cucumbers, watemelons, bananas, apples, carrots, strawberries, cheese.
I think the only thing I've ever seen him turn his nose up at and flat out refuse to eat has been any piece of meat not cooked well done. I don't know how he knows, but he knows.
Oh and tortillas cooked on the comal....he knows he'll get one or two if he hangs there
Mine loves all fruit, but especially anything citrus. We did a test to see what she'd pick; steak, high value treats, iced biscuits and citrus. Always the citrus. She has spat out meat to get a segment of orange.
Although she also thinks that a cucumber stick and banana piece are pretty high value treats too.
I forgot about limes! Any time he sees us cutting one, he instantly starts drooling. He takes it and tosses it around, and then licks it. He gets clementines, too.
He eats better than we do š¤£

So is your account history.
Homemade in the dehydrator Thin sliced chicken jerky. No seasoning just nice chicken breast.
If you truly care for your Rott you'll take the time and expense to make this for them.
Did they read and heed this guys?
Tell me more about duck necks, duck wings, and beef throat!
Our pupās treats are beef and/or lamb lung, collagen sticks (alt of bully sticks - read they are more digestible), and beef cheeks (alt of rawhide, same reason).
Are there bones you have to look out for or are they soft enough to digest?
We have a pup that needs her space when she gets her treats so we canāt take stuff away (trust issues and a bit of resource guarding - a battle we have chose not to pick [sheās good with us and lower-value items]) but Iām always interested in expanding the arsenal of things she can gnaw on!
The chicken necks, duck necks, duck wings and beef throat are dried and fully edible.. great for their teeth and natural with no additives or anything. Dogs can eat bone as long as itās either raw or dried.. never cooked! Cooked bones splinter where dried and fresh donāt and are safe.
I get all my dried treats off eBay! Itās the cheapest place to buy them and they love them, especially the beef throat which to a human smells bad and needs keeping in a jar but the dogs love them and because they donāt leave a mess I love them too lols.
I also get fresh bones from the butcher occasionally and let them gnaw away.. itās good for their jaw muscles.
Itās a good idea to work on food guarding of any kind as it has a tendency to escalate so itās best nipped in the bud when young, starts with treats, food bowls, toys and even doorways!
The other treats you give sound good, natural is always better but the bones in the wings etc are great for them.
Donuts. I can't explain it but my girl won't take food off a plate or off the counter unless it is a donut. She will steal it and eat it right in front me.
That's a handsome boy.
With ours it seemed it was the food on our dinner table.
It took a few bouts of diarrhea for us to stop getting sucked in by his begging.
Victor high pro us for this girl

My girl loved her Macca's chicken nuggets. She would throw a temper tantrum like a toddler if I drove past the Golden arches without getting her nuggets. She also got a cup of ice too.
I have a 4 yr old male and an 8 year old female.
My girl will only show food aggression when I feed them cow hearts.
My boy will only show food aggression if I give them freshly butchered rib bones with meat/sinew still on them.
My girl will eat all of the hearts while keeping my boy, who is 50lbs heavier than her, cowed and far away from any of them.
My boy will collect all of the rib bones and lay on top of them so his sister can't get to them.
I buy 100% all beef (probably gross stuff, but no grains etc in it) sticks for dogs at Sam's club. He and his English Mastiff brother grab for the bag every time I open the cabinet.
I recently bought steak pieces, but my boys who are gentle, kept nipping my fingers for those.
Bread! Omg girl is such a bread hoe. Second is anything Indian food, like donāt even bring it in the house unless you want to be barked at while you eat it and if thereās leftovers in the fridge, she will camp out and bother anyone coming through the kitchen.
Have a shepweiler, her favorite thing to eat appears to be rabbit turds. She noses them out in the yard like a truffle pig.
She also enjoys mulch, sticks, and road tar.

Every damn time I eat pickles. He doesn't like pickles. I know this. He knows this. But he has to learn that lesson every damn time.
Yo same here , must be the smell cause itās very rare I give him food from the table lol
He eats anything with the same ravenous enthusiasm so I could never tell lol.
Mine, too! Well, except for pickles. Girl hates pickles lol.
