Yeah. you'll probably be okay

Yes, it's perfectly possible but if you're not flying with RwandAir, some airlines get a bit funny about it. They expect you to already have a visa for Rwanda, which you don't actually need because anyone, from anywhere in the world, can get a visa on arrival. Some airlines think that you have to have an onward flight to get a visa, but no one will ever ask that here. If you scroll to the bottom of the video description here, there's a little link to something you can print out and show airlines if they try to argue that you need a visa before you board: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLJpredztug

thank you for this information! in my travels i've found it to be rare for airlines to ask for visa proof if it's known a country allows visa on arrival, but i know there are exceptions lol. thanks again for your insights and for the resource

Yes it is possible and it used tone harder in the past, when Visas where applied for online, however now you get the Rwanda visa on arrival and therefore, this shouldn't be hard. However you have to note that if you are visiting as a tourist on fro example a [Rwanda gorilla safari](https://www.gorillasafairwanda.com) they might ask you to show your return ticket, unless if it is for business and you are obtaining a business visit visa.

No, trust me you will get deported, it happened to a friend‘a boyfriend. You’d probably be ok if you booked another ticket right away but people with weak passports get treated rather rough, don’t fuck with the authorities in Rwanda but if you stay respectful be ready to experience a truly amazing country Edit: just book a return ticket that has the least penalties for rescheduling/cancelling, that what I do while I’m waiting for my work visa

Ok thanks for the information. I will indeed respect the country, that's why I am asking this info before buying my ticket :) Also not sure what you mean by weak passport, but I'll keep your insights in mind and plan accordingly.

Practical_Library203

It sucks to say but a Canadian or American passport will get you way further than a Pakistani one, that all I mean by it but best of luck

Oh I see. I'm an American citizen and unfortunately have seen the mistreatment of others based on passports that you mention. Either way thanks again for the info.

I don’t know how they do it when you reach Rwanda but most countries/airports do not allow to board if you do not have a return ticket while flying to Rwanda with a tourist visa. The easiest way to go about it is book a cheap flight to a neighboring country.
