lol don’t waste your time/money at a climbing gym or axe throwing place. you can do that anywhere.
get outside! go for a hike, chill at the beach, walk around downtown. as for the nighttime, there are tons of bars populated with folks your age. frog & peach pub is one of the most popular college bars, and they often have live music
Architecture graveyard is an awesome hike for people that are from out-of-town that doesn't take a whole bunch of time - OP, maybe check out the architecture graveyard at Cal Poly & then hit up downtown? Might be considered more than one activity but between the two it shouldn't take more than a few hours.
Go to the beach if it's not fogged in.
Mr Rick's can be fun during/after beach.
Play golf at one of the beautiful courses (Morro Bay is easy and beautiful)
Go on a hike, bishops or cerro.
Check out Duncan alley or the public market.
Downtown at night is usually for the bar goers if that's your thing.
Only 3 bunkers on the whole 18 and no water hazards / forced carries. The greens are small and tough to read. To summarize, any green in regulation or two putt should be taken as a small victory when playing Morro Bay.
I think it's one of the easiest in the county with Avila ranking the hardest.
Its straight forward, tough to lose a ball for the most part. Greens are the hardest part, they break towards the ocean generally.
Give it a shot, you'll love it.
- the rock climbing gym
- plenty of amazing hiking trails
- the axe throwing place
- the beaches
- kayaking in morro bay
Aside from private parties there isn't a huge night life here. There are the bars (frog & peach, mother's tavern, library) all right next to each other that people tend to gather at.

There is an eyes wide shut style sex party in SLO . Follow the horse drawn carriages and masked oligarchs. The password is “Fidulios”
What the hell? This was supposed to be a secret.
Shhhh!!
On the bright side the password changes once every 30 days so we’re all good now.

Morro Bay is considered easy? I've never played it and am a casual golfer and was always intimated by it.

What is Duncan alley? I've lived in slo for over 20 years I've never heard of it
It's new: https://www.duncanalley.com/
You can rent kayaks down at Port San Luis and check out the lighthouse, jetty, whalers rock, and all the piers in Avila.
Visit the mission/museum, sit along the creek or go over to the beach. A cool shop in downtown is the ritual or my personal favorite the surplus store
If you expand to the county you can do dune buggies on the sand, zip lines, wine tasting, etc.
follow subsessions/ dance kvlt on Facebook
Are you into edm?
I am lol, can you link me to some events
I am new to town if you need a homie to hike with I'd be down

Last I heard, Mother’s Tavern is closed for a remodel and rebrand
You are probably right, haven't been down there in months.
