Same. Ugly cry too. I welled up after the Giants won their first in SF in 2010 because my grandpa passed the year before and he didn’t get to see it. I got misty when the Warriors got their first after being a doormat for so long because I didn’t think they’d ever do it. When the Sharks finally get over the hump I *know* I will be overcome with emotion.
They won in 1947 and 1956 in Philadelphia, with their first as Golden State in 1975. Most of us were not alive for that one, and only saw limited success in our lifetimes. Seeing that “first one” after being so awful for so long was almost surreal, lol.
Madness, I know! I got in the dumbest pissing contest in 13 years of being on Reddit with a couple people last week on r/hockey over something completely inconsequential. I’m going to use it as a indication that perhaps my written communication skills are lacking and I need to work on it.
My dad (62) always talks about how "he made a pact with God that he's happy and won't ask for more in life if he can watch the sharks win the cup" so honestly as obsessed as I am with them winning, I'm going to just cry my eyes out knowing my dad got what he always hoped for.
I bought a bottle of wine for a friend (like 15 years ago) and said when the sharks win we’ll drink it. He’s a huge tool fan and it’s from Maynard’s winery. Also, I have never been much of a Grier fan but if they do win the cup I’m getting a 25 jersey (that was packed in the wine deal).
I made a promise to myself after the loss to the Penguins that when the Sharks make it to the SCF clinching game, I'll travel any distance to be in the building when they lift the cup. I hope beyond hope that it's in San Jose. I know I'll cry, but aside from that, I'll probably be running through downtown screaming and embracing anyone wearing teal.
I will cry. Book a vacation immediately so I can fly down for the parade. Celebrate with other fans. I'm from edmonton and despise the oilers (local fans ruined them for me) I need to celebrate with my people
I’m a huge Giants fan, as well as Sharks. When the Giants won in 2010, I thought I would rip off my shirt, run down the street, and hug all my neighbors.
But when the moment actually hit, I just sat down. I let all the stress of the season, the stress of every unsuccessful season, leave my body at once.
It’s wasn’t the huge burst of joy. It was a release of all the pain at once. And it was better than I thought it would be.
I would imagine it would feel like that.
If the Sharks ever win a Cup, I will punch myself in the face to make sure it's real. Then drink til I black out lol
Sharks, A's, Raiders fan born in 90.... it's been rough sports wise lol
100% I'll cry, I almost cried today just because I was so happy for them and their fan base. They waited 30 years for that cup. We have been waiting over 30 for ours. It's going to be so sweet when we finally win.
Ball my eyes out. So many years of heartbreak. Watching all of our rivals see success. It hurts. I love this team, and seeing Florida raise the cup definently made me sad.
At this rate, probably confuse my unborn child as to why Daddy is crying watching TV.
If I’m lucky, they’ll be on my shoulders at the parade, even if I move out of state (I WILL BE THERE).
Drunken impulse thoughts aside, the probably have a second shot of absinthe and a an aged cigar as I call my hockey friends, all of whom are Ducks fans. Ps: Somebody local, change that!
If I'm not able to be at the game they hoist the cup after, I will be likely at home cracking open a 30+ year old bottle of Pepsi (IYKYK) and crying the happiest of tears.
I will say, this win for Florida felt better than I expected. They played the game the right way, and also seeing a couple guys who were on perennial downer franchises get opportunities to lift the cup was really satisfying.
Can't even imagine what it will feel like when the Sharks finally get that chance. I just remember the dejected feeling of watching Patty and Jumbo watch the Pens take it in 2016.
Here in Santiago, Chile we Chileans have a tradition: when something big happens, we meet at Plaza Italia. I will go there the next day, fully clad in teal. I will be the only sharks fan there for sure, but heck, I'll be the happiest man on kilometers!
I've never put a name or number on any jersey I've got but I'll probably buy a Stanley cup one with a name and number just for it.
And obviously fly out to the parade!
Find George McPhee and Kelly McCrimmon and beat them to death with my bare hands for assembling Vegas.
But honestly probably have some nice drinks and go to the parade!
Well given it’s only a year out from now, I don’t have a lot of time to save up money for the finals appearance/tickets. But hopefully I get to be there for the game in which we win it. And if I am, idk man I’ll go crazy. I’ll cry. Throw up. I’ll have probably been cross faded the whole game. I might even get my first tattoo the following day.
I have one bottle of Chum left that I've been holding onto. It'll probably taste like shit by then and I might end up just spraying it like I'm on an F1 podium but it's the first thing I'm reaching for.
I will definitely cry
Oh yeah I’m definitely gonna be crying 😭
Ugly crying too, like when my 2 year old stomps on the testicles.

The Warriors won their first title in the 70s

Sorry, should have clarified that I meant on the west coast and it also sounds like I misread the intent behind your initial comment.
It’s all good! I got you. I know the way I worded that could have been a little clearer.
Are two people being decent to each other on Reddit!?!? Cheers, dude.

It’ll hit even harder given how invested we are in this rebuild 🥹
Definitely bawling like a baby.
Cry, laugh, cry, laugh, cry, hallucinate. Darkness. Wake up and smell colors and sense the earths vibrations because I’ve been reborn!
Joe Thornton style.
🐓
X4 🥅
Ayyyyoooooooooooo
Same
Lettin the boys breathe at the best time
Judging by these comments, the parade gonna go down in NHL history.

Kiss my newborn triplets macklin, will, and Quentin and then promptly pass away of happiness
This is the way
Dying and making your kids orphans is most definitely NOT the way 🤣🤣🤣🤣 But the joke is funny lol
I will immerse myself in a bender the likes off which will be used in every D.A.R.E powerpoint in the history of the world.
I’m coming with you man
Santa Clara Street will be shut down for days.
😂😂
This is the way. I used to always blame my interest in drugs on DARE and how fun they made them seem. 😂😂😂
I’ll be remembering my dad who passed way too soon and got close but never saw his Sharks win the cup
Dad raised a hell of a fan. I'll be there with you.
Sharks are gonna win one for your pops and for everyone that bleeds teal 😎
My dad (62) always talks about how "he made a pact with God that he's happy and won't ask for more in life if he can watch the sharks win the cup" so honestly as obsessed as I am with them winning, I'm going to just cry my eyes out knowing my dad got what he always hoped for.
I’m gonna cry then drink then cry all over again 😭
If the stress of the game doesn’t kill me, I’m going to cry my eyes out and then I’m going to hug all you random strangers wherever I’m watching it.
Take my grandpa to the game since he took me to the 2016 final
Love this 🥹
March up and down Santa Clara St. taking shots of Hennessy and La Vics sauce till the Victory parade
Henny is a must for that special occasion haaha
I’m literally taking the week off and flying out for the parade and crying every second
Yup. This is the way.

I’ll be in downtown the night it will happen haha it was pretty crazy downtown when they won the Western Conference

I will be there. I flew from Fla to attend game 3 in 2016. I’ll make sure I’m at the clincher
I don't know. Walk around the room in disbelief.
Ask a bunch of questions. Lie on the floor. Roll over.
Cry my eyes out, scream, tweet Randy and Dan, then come here to Celebrini-ate with all of you
I will cry. Book a vacation immediately so I can fly down for the parade. Celebrate with other fans. I'm from edmonton and despise the oilers (local fans ruined them for me) I need to celebrate with my people

Continue letting the worms compost me 6 feet under
Tears will be shed

😂😂😂never seen an Office Space Gif fit so perfectly. Well played hahaha
Legally change my name to SJ Sharkie
Fall to my knees (hopefully in the tank) and sob til I can sob no more.
Run out naked into the street and just start goin all rooster trick.
I will run in the streets and scream
Life would be complete
I'll wear my 2007 playoff shirt that I havent worn since 2014 because I think it's cursed.
I already tear up when I see other teams win. I’m gonna be an inconsolable baby when it’s the Sharks.
If the Sharks ever win a Cup, I will punch myself in the face to make sure it's real. Then drink til I black out lol Sharks, A's, Raiders fan born in 90.... it's been rough sports wise lol
I will jump into Guadalupe River

I'll have a celebrini martini
Me and the boys celebrating the sharks first Stanley cup in 2250 ![gif](giphy|QuxqWk7m9ffxyfoa0a)
Tattoo
Same, I decided that back in 2013. I will be an old lady by the time it happens, but I'm still gonna do it.
At that point you could get it on your forehead and it won’t matter so much 🤣

I’m burning San Pedro square to the ground

Never too old for jager bombs
My great-grandfather lived to 106 and never saw the Cubs win a World Series. I just wanna watch playoff Sharks again.
Flipping a car
Celebrating downtown, ending the night with La Vic’s.
I go to the one off 85 Almaden Expressway. Gotta get that orange sauce 🔥
I’m 34 now… so I’ll probably celebrate by rolling in my grave a bit.
I’ll be watching from the parking booth at the SAP center. But everyone will get in for free
I will hope it is in my lifetime
If I'm not able to be at the game they hoist the cup after, I will be likely at home cracking open a 30+ year old bottle of Pepsi (IYKYK) and crying the happiest of tears.
I promised myself years ago that I would buy the jersey of whoever gets the cup clinching goal.

Cry.
I'd immediately think of all the past failures and let downs. I wouldn't believe it to be honest
Find George McPhee and Kelly McCrimmon and beat them to death with my bare hands for assembling Vegas. But honestly probably have some nice drinks and go to the parade!
sob, scream, cry, then get blackout drunk 😂

Whenever it happens, I’ll be in sj or wherever they clinch. I’ve waited my whole life

I will crack a beer. What a silly question. /s
Hopefully my wife will shake up my ashes in the urn on the mantle so I can get excited.
Talking about stuff like this extends the drought by another year
but thats also implying that theres an end to the drought :)
I can say from experience that having a cup is a great experience. You guys will have a great time!
I’ve been watching former Sharks win the cup since the mid 90’s.
