What are you doing on a sketchy website like that? I would never click on anything on that website because of the obviously ridiculous discounts.

MatuPoiss

i use a website called allkeyshop.com, where there are alot of ridiculous discounts and websites. on this site most things are actually overpriced, but this one thing is so cheap that it made me check the reviews, which on trustpilot were great, but everywhere else absolutely shit (around 50-60%). they also supposedly ask for ur address and phone number confirmation, which made me in the literal meaning “scared”. thanks for your comment mate

ChiMello

That is because "Trustpilot" is the most easy site out there for scam sites to manipulate by having sock puppet accounts report legitimate negative reviews and leave fake 5* reviews. Please don't rely on them to determine if a website is legit.

MatuPoiss

thats why im checking other websites as well…

erishun

No lots of websites make money selling things for 99% off, it’s very legitimate. Just give them your credit card number Edit: I was being sarcastic. No legitimate website is going to sell $20 cash equivalent gift cards for $1

MatuPoiss

ironical?

ChiMello

Yes.

Korrocks

In my experience, there are no websites that really give out these amazing discounts. If it was real, it would be incredibly famous since everyone would just shop there instead of the original merchant. If you see an obscure website with amazing discounts, just assume it’s sketchy or fake since there’s no way a real seller would buy something for $100 and sell it for $1.

If its too good to be true it probably is. Its a key reseller site so use at your risk. But another reseller Cdkeys on the other hand is legit in my experience. Its up to you to trust your gut. I’ve never even heard of electronicfirst before

MatuPoiss

yep, i also have used cdkeys, instantgaming, punktid etc and they have all been legit. this site just seems so weird, being overall very expensive, having one product that i want 80% cheaper than in the next cheapest keystore, and having reviews saying that they require your address, phone number and drivings license conf. , which im not keen on giving out to some dudes in UAE. for some reason people dispans to 2 groups - people who say its a scam (got taken money 2/3/… times more than should, got given used codes etc and people who say that its perfectly fine and good.

ArtisticSpace3366

I' don't know why so many ppl are trying to downvote your reply.... this is true, ive used cd keys for years and VPN codes for discounted prices. Just the last few years I go to specific ppl who generate the codes, that I trust to be safe, I only pay them through PayPal too

Gogo726

What's the url? I'm willing to bet it's less than a year old

MatuPoiss

no its from 2009

juoig7799

Looks like a scam, no one sells a £20 gift card for £1

MatuPoiss

ye well now its sold out, so either someone got a really good deal or they were messing around

I brought Xbox cloud one month key from there and it worked fine and haven't had any further expenses , if in doubt make a one time use virtual card.

Idk about this specific product but i bought my windows 10 pro license key and my office 2021 key from it both of which worked

Obvious-Pumpkin-5610

Are they still working?

drakata27

I bought a Windows 10 key yesterday and it worked at first but now it is showing me to activate windows again

Unlikely-Working-262

Typically if you contact the key website they'll send you another.

drakata27

That is what I did and they gave me another one, no issues since then. I even upgraded to Windows 11

Zowayix

Just stumbled across this post after having a bad experience on electronicfirst myself. It is almost certainly a scam. I tried to buy a Nintendo eShop gift card from there on a discount of less than 1%, and after charging my card, they demanded I upload a **passport or driver's license** before they would supposedly give me the gift card code. I'm currently attempting to perform a chargeback through my bank. [This post from a year ago](https://old.reddit.com/r/Scams/comments/rx6685/electronic_first_verification_scam/) also says that they can demand **bank statements or utility bills** instead.

For what it's worth, I've purchased several Microsoft licenses through electronic first. Windows 10 Professional, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Project (3 times). All of them worked perfectly well. I had a little trouble authenticating one of the Office licenses, contacted support, and they asked me to authenticate via phone rather than on-line; and then it worked. Small issue, they seem to add some bloatware in the Windows download. I get a small popup notification 3 or 4 times a day with an Electronics First promo. I could probably disable it - but it's so insignificant I just click the x and go on with the day.

Bought a windows 10 key off them when windows 10 first dropped. Its still working. Using it with windows 11. Rule of thumb. NEVER give your credit card to any website like this. Always use paypal or google pay. Also if they accept paypal or Google pay site is legit. Google pay would drop them if they were not. These cards they are selling or probably from a Corporate Function. They probably also say "not for retail sale" on them
