Looks like spawning chum salmon. Use your nose,if it smells bad then don’t eat it. But spawning chum is probably the worst tasting salmon all around TBH
I personally wouldn’t eat it. I don’t like the look of the skin or the little bit of the meat that can be seen. I eat salmon at least once a week and never seen this before. I would actually take it back to where you bought it for a refund. I do this anytime my seafood doesn’t smell right or texture is off. If we don’t return it they will just keep selling us shit product. Just not normal for fish to be sold that looks like that in my opinion.

Usually when a salmon is spawning that will happen to the skin, plus the flesh looks pretty “blond” too. Was the flesh mushy?
