Omg yes you are correct! It was a group of 8 very “kuntry” young men. Well, young men that were entirely TOO GROWN to behave the way they did. One of the guys didn’t tip me at all because I didn’t a have a snap chat and couldn’t “see how the vibes went”
Sorry you went through that, idk why people gotta be so weird about speaking to women they find attractive these days. Just talk to them like a person, respectfully shoot your shot and if she says no wish them a good day and carry on. I’m ugly as crap so I really can’t give good advice but it’s appalling how dumb people are sometimes.
Someone with a good personality that genuinely makes me laugh goes further than good looks sometimes. I’ll at least be friendly with nice people. Arrogance gets you nowhere with me.
It’s the before tax amount on the suggested. It’s quite annoying. His math was still wrong because the total is only indicting the $10. Unfortunately I still would only get about $7 at the end; the way our tips get divided.
I pay out taxes, tipshare, and still 9/10 don’t receive a paycheck with not getting anything on a tax return. Considering I came from corporate America and used to pay in stupid but get back something this is insane. If a table doesn’t tip me- I still have to pay more taxes than I did before and tip out the rest of the staff and I have no choice about how much that is. So there is a chance I have to pay to take that table if you’re a pos and tip like garbage.
Don't know why you got downvoted for this. I wish more people would understand that if they don't tip, more than likely that server just had to pay to serve them.
Some people know and still don't gaf. They're like "take it up with your employer! I shouldn't have to subsidize your wages" but if they really cared they'd tip or not go out to eat. People like that are the worst kind of people. I refuse to have anything to do with someone if I find out they don't tip.

We have to divide our tips up as a tipshare. It’s not super an issue, but it’s automatically calculated by the check total. It’s fair to me as we all work together, however if someone lets say doesn’t tip me anything at all- a tipshare still comes out of my other tips from that table and I potentially just paid to take care of really rude & obnoxious people.
Yeah, the term “tip share” is a misnomer. I have to pay for each table even if they all stiff me. It's more like “help the company save on taxes at the servers' expenses.” But I suppose that that doesn't have the same ring to it.
Yeah 20% would of been $12 so he stiffed you and gave you a chance to get to know him, a wonderful gentleman. You should be grateful to be graced by him /s
It’s so annoying! I started to think it’s just another way for owners/management to shaft servers and bartenders because it would be so easy to make it the after tax amount
20% would have been $12.50. For those arguing you don’t tip on tax, you’re wrong. The gross sales (post tax) are used to calculate both your tip out percentage to SAs/bartenders and to calculate the minimum tips you must claim for IRS purposes. Tipping is calculated on the full bill, not the subtotal.
No. Why should a customer tip on tax? Does not make sense. You don’t tip on tax. That sounds like a restaurant issue not a customer one. That person tipped 20%.
You’re correct. It’s just another way to shift labor costs from the business owner to the patron and the fact that anyone is saying “stiffed” when being tipped enough they have time argue about tax to get 20% says alot about out the culture. that’s exactly what the business wants. They want their employee thinking it’s the customers duty to take care of them. My ten years in the industry has shown there is a ton of nuance and situations vary, but in my experience the industry is broken and should have a fixed hourly wage thats is livavle just like any other, with option for tips. Anyone that made good tips on average like myself before would be happy with 15 an hour, because I’d earn more. Hard to have it both ways though.
Oh I know! It’s the before tax amount apparently as the suggested. Plus we have to split tips a certain percentage. So I realistically made $7 off of him.
Take the number and send it to a bunch of spam companies that will keep calling him 🤣😂🤣 my cousin she did that from a bar she worked out.
The tipped like shit and she’s like well this is going to be fun.
Like for Jehovah’s Witnesses, and shit like that hahah
Yea doesn’t mean it right lol. I had a woman hit on me and I’m clearly married and her response was simple “yea and i have a husband at home, we can have some fun just no one needs to know” I’m like o boy…..
I was gonna downvote you, then looked at her post history. Mans just telling the truth. I live and bartend in the 336 too though, so I can understand the general frustration nonetheless.
> if he *paid* you more
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
If you're going to hit on a service worker (you shouldn't, see below), you should at least endeavor to show them that you respect their job and their hard work by leaving a good tip. Same as leaving a good tip for the service worker when you are on a date with someone else. It's one of those finer details of early courtship where it only costs a couple of dollars to demonstrate to your date whether you are a kind and generous person who treats others well, even when they are in a subservient position to you, or whether you're a cheap asshole who likes to complain about tipping service workers.
Re: hitting on service workers, it's gauche to take advantage of the power imbalance between a guest and a service worker to hit on one while you are a paying customer. The fact that you control their pay and livelihood and it is their job to please you for money puts them in a position where there are few polite or socially acceptable ways to turn down unwanted advances. But also just based on your attitude toward tipping and service workers in this thread, I also mean that you, specifically, should never hit on service workers. You'll only end up the subject of ridicule in a thread like this one.
I hear what you're saying, but does it really apply in this case? She's didn't even have to turn him down to his face. Just turn in the receipt at the end of the night and she'll never see I again. He already paid the tip too so it's not like it's a quid problem quo situation here. Whats wrong with it exactly?
You said it wS taking advantage of a power imbalance. I could see your point if they did it while seated, but it was after the dude had already left that the waitress got the message. Where is the power imbalance there?
The tip had already been rendered amd was not contingent on her response. Aren't they just two citizens after that?
If he really thought she has a and I quote "phat ass" you'd think he'd leave a bigger tip if he was trying to get lucky leaving his number like she really gonna call his ass
I mean, it can work, one of my better relationships when I was younger came about because I left my number for the new, very friendly waitress at a place where I was a regular. I **kind of** thought she was interested as well but as oblivious as I usually am figured it was 50/50 she was just being nice.
But I also left a 100% tip because I figure being a cheap ass would NOT have helped my case and if I was wrong, well, at least she got a nice tip to make up for her customer being a dork. First and only time that actually worked out for me though.
*Edit for GD autowreck.
I had one pull the "do you serve milkshakes" thing. His friends kept telling him to stop and apologised after but they were still laughing. I didn't know what they were doing because i don't have tiktok. It was annoying because it was busy and i had more important things to do. I didn't hear him the first time because it was loud and they kept laughing.
what a coincidence, the note mentions a “phat ass” and her post history is all /r/phatasswhitegirls
guess he must have checked her Reddit account before tipping
Just because someone makes spicier content doesn’t mean they just stop being a human who should be respected. She’s allowed to complain when people are shitty to her still.
She shouldn’t have to deal with *harassment* from a man who’s objectifying her at her work.
Girl I get you. It's always sad and alarming in threads like this. Trolls LOVE hanging out in this sub just so they can piss off waitresses like us for both the tip aspect and the being a woman aspect. I try to think about it like yeah they're just trolling. But I also know that we are dealing with men like this daily in person.
I love the photos you've posted of yourself. Please don't ever feel like posting lovely photos of yourself like those online makes you a lesser person. You're a hot and empowered woman and it doesn't justify the sexist treatment or the misogynistic trolling. Love you, doll.
Not gonna lie, my ego was huge when I was serving and bartending 😅 especially since my hubby isn’t too into sex, or compliments… so like… I’d go to work and feel great about myself 😂 our marriage is perfect. I’m just hyper sexual while he rarely needs sex. So it was a nice little boost in self esteem when I was bartending especially. SAHM now and it’s … challenging to get the esteem boost I crave. Never intent to cheat or anything but random dudes who compliment and tip well made my day.
Wow. At the end of the day. Servers make as much as McDonald's workers most of the time. If you can't afford to go out and tip someone who is giving you and expierience, not just a drive through, or if you think tipping is so out of range for you're expierience, take 20% off the top right away wheN The cooks get payed more. We set up. We serve. We clean
We put up with bs. If you're service is absolute shyte, don't tip.
Don't go out if you expect a McDonald's expierience.
We're serVERS , not SERVANTS. ✌
I had an incline to visit to profile and yeah my math would be fucked up too if that was in close proximity to me. I actually forgot what I was originally going to write after peeping. But yeah still very bold of a person to say and even bolder to say it alongside a tip under 20%
As a server, this tip is fine... Are you not used to tourists giving 0 to 10% every time? Since the service system is flawed in America and we are profiting off of it most of the time, we should probably not be so entitled
I read this as bald young male guests at first and I was like whoa I didn’t realise bald guys were all a certain way? Makes a lot more sense now that I read it again
The math for the tip isnt mathing lol. Dude probably only had your ass on his mind
She is a lot to think about. Lmao!
[удалено]
Bro, what the fuck?
He blocked me. So I can’t even see any longer
Probably for the better unless you were planning on attending therapy
I can tell he is sad enough that it doesn’t phase me. He’s just ignorant and in his own little world all alone and needing distractions.
What did he say?!
😝 fair
Not really. Makes him a bitch
🫡🤌🫵😘☝️🥸
Checked profile, understand the shot attempt
Holy guacamole
Yeah because so did the client right
You're a pawg you will always get attention for your ass
True, I guess I’m not mad about that! I grew it myself after all. Lol, you can always buy titties, you don’t always get to buy a nice ass! Lmao
Fr fr 🤤
Shameless self promo for her OF and other BS. Downvote the garbage
HAHAHAHAHHAAH 336 is Winston Salem so not surprised at all. Went to ECU and the 336 boys be kuntry as hell
Omg yes you are correct! It was a group of 8 very “kuntry” young men. Well, young men that were entirely TOO GROWN to behave the way they did. One of the guys didn’t tip me at all because I didn’t a have a snap chat and couldn’t “see how the vibes went”
I’m sorry for that but damn I see it right now — I went to school w tons of kids like that and they are definitely a special breed
Nothing to add really. Just go pirates
Omg that is awful. I’m also in the triad, we don’t claim these men!!
I am located in the Sarasota area in Florida. We tend get to people from all over
Sincerest condolences 💐

Triad representttt 👊
Well damn, I grew up in hicktown AL and I don’t remember anyone ever spelling “phat” that way. Two Americas
Drop 20% before laying out out the phat ass comment fam. At least is was phat with the ph that's way more respectful!
They probably went off the suggested tip calculation at the bottom, which indicates this is more than 20%. I wonder why that tip suggestion is wrong.
It’s the before tax amount on the suggested. It’s quite annoying. His math was still wrong because the total is only indicting the $10. Unfortunately I still would only get about $7 at the end; the way our tips get divided.
Wait, can you explain to me like I'm five? Why did he need to give more than the suggested amount?
why would he tip you on tax. makes no sense
I pay out taxes, tipshare, and still 9/10 don’t receive a paycheck with not getting anything on a tax return. Yeah 20% would of been $12 so he stiffed you and gave you a chance to get to know him, a wonderful gentleman. You should be grateful to be graced by him /s
He tipped 20% pretax tip is stiffing now? This is getting insane
Is that what stiffed means now? Less than 20%? 🤣🤷♂️
Sexual harassment costs extra.
It’s so annoying! And it would be so easy to make it calculate the after tax amount
It’s so annoying! I started to think it’s just another way for owners/management to shaft servers and bartenders because it would be so easy to make it the after tax amount
Definitely tax but even that seems off
He tipped more than 20%. You are NOT suppose to tip on tax… that is for taxes.
Have you seen her profile? I doubt they were in the wrong here
Agreed!!

Do you though
I do. She deserved more than that. Lol!
Why do you keep referring to yourself in the third person 🤔
she’s referring to her ass not herself as a person
(She's talking about her ass :p)
Damn that’s so rude isn’t it? My dms are open if you ever need to talk about this.
Homie checked her profile
Why are your suggested tips incorrect?? The math isn’t mathing ANYWHERE in this photo
Oh I know! It’s the before tax amount apparently as the suggested. Plus we have to split tips a certain percentage. So I realistically made $7 off of him.
I remember a person not tipping me at all but leaving their Instagram handle saying to follow...
Take the number and send it to a bunch of spam companies that will keep calling him 🤣😂🤣 my cousin she did that from a bar she worked out. The tipped like shit and she’s like well this is going to be fun. Like for Jehovah’s Witnesses, and shit like that hahah
Love that for her! That energy is just ~chef’s kiss~
That guy never showed his face there again haha
Don’t you tease me with a good time
And this is why men don't approach women anymore...
There’s being nice and actually being a decent person and then you have this receipt….
Being a nice decent person NEVER works. Come on now. You know this
And being a clown and saying you got a phat ass works?…. Maybe in high school
Man... You'd be surprised at some of the lines I've seen work (I bartend).
Same I have bartended and I worked at a brewery. I’ve heard it all.
So you know exactly what I'm talking about.
Yea doesn’t mean it right lol. I had a woman hit on me and I’m clearly married and her response was simple “yea and i have a husband at home, we can have some fun just no one needs to know” I’m like o boy…..
I can’t believe the comments below you, these people act like they’re gods gift to earth
Ah yes a bar, where people are on their best behavior and have clear head.
There are far nicer ways of approaching someone
But you do tho
I was gonna downvote you, then looked at her post history. Mans just telling the truth. I live and bartend in the 336 too though, so I can understand the general frustration nonetheless.
Bruh same lol… I was like “ this dude is something else haven’t even seen her “ the. I looked and I was like oh shit
Honestly, facts. Lol
Does he expect you text him being like “hey it’s phat ass girl, when you taking me out to dinner with your less than 20% tip?” Like what

Honestly not a horrible tip. But if you’re gonna give someone your number, at least tip 20%
[удалено]
You’re annoying lol
not all men* just the ones like you :)
You should tip everyone at least 20%
Nah, just if you’re going to trap someone in their place of work and then act like they wanted to talk to you the whole time.

this nigga broke your honor 😟☝🏾
Dude had his mind on 57ing with you.
Bravo!
every single time i’ve received a phone number it was on a receipt tipping less than 20%. you want to impress me, tip 100% 😘
Yeah, if you're gonna make a move, you GOTTA out the money out there too lmao
How I met your father.
That man would need to be Gerald butler hot to pull this off 😹
That’s not even the right math..
No rizz and stupid. life has to be hard for him.
Who said that chivalry was dead 😄
If he really thought she has a and I quote "phat ass" you'd think he'd leave a bigger tip if he was trying to get lucky leaving his number like she really gonna call his ass
I mean, it can work, one of my better relationships when I was younger came about because I left my number for the new, very friendly waitress at a place where I was a regular. Well. If math and articulation are his strong suites..we're doomed. Not even a good tip if it did add up properly..
I do not do the TikTok either. Same lol
That math ain’t matching either
couldn't tip 20% OR add his shitty tip correctly 🚩
what a coincidence, the note mentions a “phat ass” and her post history is all /r/phatasswhitegirls guess he must have checked her Reddit account before tipping
exactly, this shit is fake and cringe as hell
Yes I generally greet my guests with a link to Reddit account instead of my name. Doesn’t everyone ?
He isn’t wrong darling. You do indeed have a phat ass. About to sub
Lol i grew up in the same area code. NC mfs smh
How much more money is needed on the tip for this to be acceptable? Asking for a male server that can’t relate lmaoooooo
THIS IS WHERE IM FROM HAHAHAHAHA shoutout to the 336
9797? (Edit) *8797
Well he ain't wrong got DAMN
You working at Hooters and thinking this is craY
He is speaking facts, but he needs to tip way more to say it
Why would you leave that note. That as a man made me gag. And it’s also an unreal level of confidence. But not in a good way.
The level of confidence some men have had at work, (when hitting on me) does make me question myself at times. Lol.
“You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take” Wayne Gretzky, I took this to heart when I was a single man in my 20’s lol
I’m sure you would tip 20% at least to get their attention.
If I couldn’t afford to tip at least 25% I wouldn’t have gone out to eat. Kids these days…
Unfortunately he was young, but entirely too grown to be acting like we’re teenagers.

Congrats on the tushy game and not getting totally stiffed on the tip.
Oh, good, you have his number! Sign him up for every political and religious group you can think of. Make fake Craigslist ads.
Honestly, this one wasn’t as bad as some others that made me genuinely think about it. Lol.
Can confirm Ass is indeed phat 🤣
Damn looking at your profile dudes not wrong. Gotta drop at least a 50% tip if you're gonna write that tho
Haha this dude is like “I don’t get why girls don’t like me! It must be Taylor Swifts fault!”
I would have to see this phat ass first to make a decision.
You have great nails too! Would that have gotten you to call him?
