Volunteering, getting leadership roles, reflecting on ways you can make the world a better place and solve problems.
You have to apply while you are still in grade 10/11. The applications for 2024 are already closed. If you're interested you will have to apply next year.

Is Shad worth it?
Absolutely! It’s really a great experience and some universities specifically ask “did you attend Shad?” So will help with admissions.
Like which?
Waterloo Engineering has a single page with two questions : did you attend Shad and were you on a FRC team.
That's absurd, as someone who has lots of friends who did SHAD, it barely relates to engineering.
Well they obviously value it. Project management is a huge part of engineering and a huge part of Shad so I see the correlation.
