Try adding via NFS or the Zeroconfig browser option.
You could always try to just network mount the drive on the Shield TV, and then browse to it on Kodi. This I find to be more reliable, also it's system wide which is nice for other purposes beyond Kodi.
Will try this one. Hope shield still support smb v1
