Encountered a shiny Lechonk after the catching tutorial. I still remember the feeling of seeing a shiny on the first day of release in the first hour of my gameplay.

Gothorita. Was battling Sinisteas to get the material for the Ceruledge evo item when 2 Gothoritas came up to me, 1 with blue eyes, 1 with purple eyes. At first I wasn’t even sure cuz I’ve shi-no’d on so many things up to that point, but I battled the purple eyed one and sure enough it was shiny

I think it was a failed Girafarig in the Area Zero, I was half asleep, I thought I saved but I didn't, and I closed the game and it was gone forever.... I was able to claim it months later literally in the exact same location at the entrance of the Cavern.

I have been trying to get a shiny smoliv for months, idk why but its my favourite pokemon

Hoppip and now it’s my most hated because I’ve found it one too many times

I found two shiny hoppips in the first 10 hrs of my playthrough

Mine was Sneasel, gotten on my second playthrough (no shinies in the first playthrough). I was actually hunting for the last few pokemon to complete my dex for the shiny charm when I noticed one of the Sneasel nearby was bright pink. I got a shiny Marill a couple of hours after that when I ran past a group of them and saw a green blur lol

The week after the game came out I was sick with influenza on a cruise and found a shiny mankey while wandering around looking for a gym about an hour later I found a shiny scyther

It was a random encounter with a midday lycanroc. I was casually wandering on a edge of a cliff and then suddenly a blue wolf zoomed next to me.

I got like 4 in the first 15 hours I think first one was a shiny blue psyduck that I saw during a trainer battle I recognized it immediately after the head popped up from the water, right after the treasure hunt started, then on my way to the first gym last year during Christmas I found a shiny Flabebe hiding under a bush and on my way to the second gym I found a Shiny Shinx who is now on my play through team and a Rookidee like a half hour later.

I've had a Drakloak outbreak and hunted like crazy, because I was dead set on getting shiny Dragapult. And I did in the end. And then a couple days later I found a random full-odds Venomoth in Area Zero. I consider it to be the first, because internet told me that only full-odds are valid. X)

Shinx and at first I thought it was a psyduck (yellow and I think there were some around the area) but I flipped around after thinking about it for a split second and 🥺

Drowzee. So get this; I beat the game, credits roll, and I just leave the academy after the post credit scene with you and your friends to start completing the Pokedex. I go towards the bug gym town (can’t remember the name rn), and it was my first Drowzee I encounter

A Gogoat that I fell off a mountain into, which then proceeded to almost give me a heart attack when it nearly killed itself before I could catch it. Note, I was able to catch it, but it was one turn away from ending its life

My 5th pokemon I encountered was a shiny charcadet that was terastalized. The only difference for the shiny is the eye color, and I totally thought the shiny sparkle was just part of the terastalized thing cause it was my first one seeing it. Didn't even realize it was shiny until later in the PC 😅 Ceruledge is a badass and one of the best overwolrd mons cause it's so fast. I was extremely lucky 😅🫡

A Shiny Floette I stumbled upon. I didn't even notice it was a shiny at first. I saw the cool lookin' Terastal Pokémon, saw it was Grass, thought "Heh. Funny Pure Fairy type holding a flower finally gets the grass type" and caught it. And since then, she's was on my team for the whole main story (and then some until I fully progressed her.) Now, she's effectively the squad leader of four other Shiny Florges (caught during a Special Mass Outbreak with increased Shiny Odds, which included Flabébé enconters in Paldea [And yes, I went back and caught the missing Flabébé entry]). And like any Power Ranger team leader, she's adorned with Red.

Scarlet - Flittle. this is where I started hunting on a pokemon outbreak. considering the size of a flittle, I almost lost it by going too far, I don't know why when I came back it's still there. (sucks I lost the cartridge and did not transfer my shiny monster in home) Violet - A tadbulb. I accidentally bumped into a bellibolt and it's hovering behind! pure luck though, because I wouldn't notice it if the bellibolt was not on my way

There are so many Pokémon and make and female and regional variants that they need to bring the shiny sound back. Assuming we know 1000 Pokémon color ways is silly to me.
