I’ve seen seat covers like that in Saudi Arabia, usually in Mercedes or Caprices (early 1990s). They worked. Don’t hate them if the vehicle is right. No different than throwing a Mexican blanket over the bench seat of an old Chevy pickup.

these aren't seat covers, these bad boys are custom, and it looks really good. not perfectly symmetrical, but nice for what was probably a throwaway rug.

Id kill for a brand new car with velour/carpet seats. I friggin HAT leather seats. Like besides sturdiness and the ability to have heated seats, there's no advantage to leather.

I unironically LOVE the commercial velour seating material used in public transit. The bristle in it makes sliding around much more difficult, it's never too hot or cold, and it's easy to clean. Bonus... Awesome trapper-keeper 80s style patterns that conceal dirt and wear.

I've owned multiple cars with heated cloth. Whips leather's ass.

Way too well made. This is a next level. Aside from that, such things were very common in Central Asia. It was more durable than factory fabric seats and it was way better than cheap leather imitation seats.
