There's a decent chance that whatever games it comes with are worth more than the system itself. Like if it comes with 3-5 bargain games that go for $10-$20 each on the used market then maybe the price isn't so bad, but experience tells me the games probably suck too, it's probably a bunch of old sports games that are worth less than a dollar each.
Just not much of a reason to buy a ps4 slim over literally any other version of the ps4 or a ps5 which sometimes can be found for cheap used these days

They removed the optical audio port which probably 99% of players don't use but i used it on mine up until the end of the generation because I didn't have HDMI ARC ln my TV yet and also the headset I used required it. It's also uglier IMO. But really just buy a PS4 pro or a ps5.

I mean, a used one is a small fraction of the price of a PS5. I wouldn’t call it depressing.
I mean you can buy one for 100 or less and it plays most of the same games that are on ps5 so not a bad deal for someone on a tight budget.
