Granted there is more action in RE8, there are some areas in the game that would probably scare you if you're not good with RE7. I find the horror from both games to be equally similar except RE8 has more action, nontheless still scary.
RE7 is much scarier besides House Beneviento in RE8 imo
It is like combination of RE:4 and RE:7. If you liked RE:4; i think you would like this one too.
