Where I live, 16 year olds can buy beer and other such low alcoholic drinks and 18 year olds can buy the all stronger stuff. Can't drive a car before you're 18 though.

Xealz

My little brother is 16, he can legally buy beer.

Choppybitz

Explain

Lugbor

He doesn't live in America.

Choppybitz

It's worse than that. I'm from New York which is the only place that exists in the whole universe.

Willr2645

Ah that’s true. Well for music world tours anyway.

I live in denmark, children of 16 can legally buy beer up to 16.5% alcohol contents, which includes beer and wine. The restrictions end at 18 where you can buy any % of alcohol you want to as well as tobacco. Is this enough as an explanation?

youmfkersneedjesus

What's a denmark?

Xealz

The owner of greenland.

ContactHonest2406

Gotta be 21 for *all* of that in the US, *including* tobacco and vapes. Country of fucking prudes, we are.

Logical_Brain28

Great! OP is going to put thoughts in the kids heads! OP. THERE. ARE. THREE!!! (3) DIFFERENT. TYPES. OF. ALCOHOL. TWO. OF. WHICH. ARE. HIGHLY. LETHAL. TO. HUMAN. Don't listen or like OPs post please.

MoobyTheGoldenSock

[Oh there are way more than three.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alcohol_%28chemistry%29#Examples)

OneMeterWonder

Lol this was the first thing I thought of. Damn chemists categorizing everything for us.

mybustersword

Fed

Logical_Brain28

The gang and I will get you yet, Cloud! Just you wait.

I_am_monkeeee

Teenagers try to get around that law? It's not that hard to go around it while still being safe-ish

ttlanhil

there are other kinds of alcohol than just ethanol, and you can also get ethanol as an ingredient in other things. As long as it's not for human consumption and over a certain percentage (depending on jurisdiction) then people of any age can buy it

rosen380

Vanilla extract (and almond extract and peppermint extract, etc) is at least 30% alcohol by volume and is for human consumption and I don't think is age restricted in the US.

Jump_Like_A_Willys

Or if it's in their mouthwash. Or their Nyquil.

plageiusdarth

Where I live, you needed ID to buy NyQuil when it had alcohol in it

Jump_Like_A_Willys

Sure, but I think the age is 18.

ContactHonest2406

Or they’re not American. We’re like the only country where you have to be 21.

Comfortable-Slip2599

Teenagers can buy beer, wine, whiskey etc in most countries.

Silly_Balls

Let this blow your nips off. You join the military at 17 but can't go to the titty bar... or buy a Maxim magazine. You can beat the enemy just don't beat your dick

n00b001

Or if it's for themselves. Depending on the country. Like here in the UK for example.

DramaticAd8175

Teenagers can buy beer in the majority of the world. American centric ass post

You have very low standards.
