Considering they just straight up added Seven to Shulk's final smash in Ultimate, I really don't think they give a shit about Xenoblade spoilers. And, to be honest, Mythra's entire existence is a spoiler that happens more than a few hours into the game.

You’d have to completely overhaul Bowser Jar’s final smash to let the Koopalings do something different but still have the same hit boxes and effect. Which should’ve been the case from jump. How are you gonna do something as cool as give each alt a unique 3D model, and then give that character a final smash that very clearly is only associated with 1 of the 8 characters represented?

If they gave Samus her Phazon Suit color scheme again, maybe they could have the activation of the FS involve the Metroid Prime creating a pool of Phazon underneath her as she fire the beam, turning it into a Phazon beam? Or for something a bit more involved, on the Mecha Ridley skin, they change it so that instead of being knocked onto Samus' ship and getting blasted, they get slammed into the wall of the tunnel from Metroid Prime 3 and Ridley drags them down along it, ending with a final fling into the abyss, resulting in either the opponent getting executed or simply bounced off the stage if they survive.

The Miis. Give them various options for final smashes. For example, gunner has a from 1 side beam currently. For optional final smashes, give them a top/background beam like lucario or zero suit and an expensive final smash that hits like hero's kamikaze minus killing you.

You have to consider the fact that there has to be some kind of trigger-alt. For Cloud, it’s because he’s in an Advent Children alt, therefore he uses his Advent Children Omnislash. So therefore, the only characters that can have different final smashes are ones that have significant model differences that aren’t just a noncanon recolor. This includes: Ice Mario, Builder Mario, Wedding Mario, Of The Wild Armor Link, Samus’ Fusion Suit, Fire Luigi (not sure how that’d work with his current FS), Dark Meta Knight, Galactica Knight, Plumber Wario, Radiant Dawn Ike, probably some of Sonic’s alts, Alph, Villager, IDK about Mega Man but I’m sure he has some kind of alts based on powers from his series- however it would be hard to incorporate them into his group-attack with the other mega men, Male Wii Fit Trainer, Wireframe Little Mac, the Koopalings, Bayonetta 1 Bayo, the different Inklings, Winter Isabelle (not much to change though- however the town hall in New Leaf does have variants…), the different colors of Piranha Plant, Joker’s school alt, the different Heroes, Shirtless Sephiroth (idk what else he can really do- he’s already shirtless in his final smash…), Suit Kazuya, and pretty much all of the Sora alts. I totally missed some alt colors (and didn’t list most gender differences), but these are pretty much all the possible alts that can have different final smashes. My personal contribution to this idea is that instead of Fireballs, Builder Mario could potentially fire different Mario Maker elements (with a Fire Bar finishing it off to preserve the fire trail after the final smash). The alt based on Ice Mario could fire big ice balls and freeze over the ground. Male Wii Fit trainer could potentially change the silhouettes in the final smash? I’m pretty sure all of them are based on female wii fit trainer. Villager could have their houses be different colored roofs and stuff depending on the alt. I think this one makes the most sense. Someone else already said it but I’m down for the idea of Bayonetta 2 Bayo contracting a different demon for her final smash since Gammorah goes AWOL. Only issue is that would make her current final smash the “secret” one since Bayonetta 2 bayo is the odd numbered alts- which would be weird… Someone has the idea that for the Koopalings, they fire Bullet Bills streaming across the screen, leaving behind smoke in place of where Bowser Jr.’s paint would be. Amazing idea.

Make it so only arusu (the second hero alt) summons other heroes during his final smash and the rest get the help from their respective allies.
