It was pretty rough financially right around the time the first fifth smiling friend Smormu came, then when he died, Charlie suggested Jombo become the fifth smiling friend. I assume things just didn’t work out and he quietly left. In the end I think Tyler was a great fifth smiling friend, but losing that 2.5 billion dollars to competition must’ve made layoffs inevitable. It just took a while for the cost to catch up.
