I’m not OP, but I rock the same gun and light as my EDC in a JMCK, AIWB with a Mastermind Tactical Pillow.
Only real differences are that mine has an RMR and it’s 9mm
I learned to shoot last year & went with a .40 m&p 2.0 like yours for my first piece. Loved learning with .40 cuz it's a bit more challenging but still very manageable. Recently picked up a 9mm m&p as a range toy & despite the new trigger & sights I still like my hinged trigger .40 a bit more.
Been really wanting a G22.5 to have a full size pistol chambered in .40 cuz I've shot a G23 and absolutely loved how it handled. No point in getting another compact tho so a G22 just makes more sense.

I actually have a G22.3 and I have to say I MUCH prefer the M&P ergonomics and trigger feel. I’m extremely happy to own both however and carry both interchangeably
In the last six months I have purchased three .40 caliber pistols. Took advantage of great prices on lightly used police trade ins. One of the smartest things I have done in a long time. Great caliber for home defense and concealed carry and the pistols I got are terrific, especially the M&P 40 Shield.

I use those nifty Kore belts!
I use Tier 1 exclusively. I find their selection to be tho most comprehensive for the range of pistols I own.
Also a Tier 1 and Kore respecter. They have replaced my holster without question like 3x.
What holster you find for that setup?

Tier 1. They make holsters for even my Sig 1911! They’re awesome.
40 not bad you can convert it to shoot 9mm or .357 sig if you want to try shooting different calibers.
I’d love to own a .357 sig sometime in the near future. Definitely might consider it
I know there's a conversion kit you can get a YouTuber Spnfirearms (he spells it without the i) converted his 40 shield to shoot .357 sig.

9mm mags and barrel swap right in. If you want to train a little cheaper but still carry the 40. I love mine too.
