I do not think the english translation team knew what a katana was since taki does not use katanas she uses a much much shorter variation that doesn't even have a curve
Translations and romanizations for Soul Blade are all over the place in general. All of Sophitia's birth family already gets mentioned in that game and Cassandra even makes an appearance in her Edge Master mode ending. But the game romanizes her name as "Kathandra" for some reason and the text in that ending got translated in a way that makes you think that Sophitia has *multiple* sisters, when that obviously wasn't the intention if you look at the original Japanese text.
Wut? Japanese radishes are nothing like European ones and Asian cuisine is much more spicy than European cuisine in general. Those radishes were used to make wasabi in Japan long before the 16th century.
I lived in Korea for a spell and my Mom sent me packages with Takis in them occasionally. Koreans are very spicy-orientated in their cuisine but their spicy doesn't stay in your mouth all the time, it often goes down your throat and into your stomach, it's a good sinus-cleanser but you need a tall glass of water on standby. When some of my students wanted to try whatever I was snacking on, I gave them Takis and the grimaces on their faces followed by the "NOooo\~" from one was kinda funny, ngl. It's also because snack food in korea is largely sweet so they weren't expecting something so salty and the extra kick with lime.
Oddly enough they just started showing up in stores right before I left (summer 2021), when I was hanging with some strangers on the beach who invited me to have BBQ with them, some of them liked them, others iirc did not.
How does [Tak](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/M/MV5BZDk4MTBiMzgtNmIwOC00ZDA0LTkyMjEtMjMxOTQxOTQ0YjI5XkEyXkFqcGdeQXVyMTA0MTM5NjI2._V1_FMjpg_UX1000_.jpg) feel about Taki eating Takis?
I mean, she's red, Takis are also usually reddish. So there's already a connection there.

But if you choose blue, you are incorrect, they taste bad
There is also the assumption that Taki can even read modern English. Soul Calibur lore apparently has a magical language everybody understands.
Well more like pinkish red in more latest ones.

Okay, but how many 80's babied actually knew that at the time? 🤔
I thought the very first game came out in like 1998 or something.
I don't think they were saying Soul Blade came out in the 80's
Hopefully they remaster it for the 30th anniv. Just to correct this detail alone. It’s unsettling honestly
She probably would hate them. Bro, she's japanese... FEUDAL japanese. The hottest thing she's ever had is probably a radish.
That's pretty rad! -ish.

Asian cuisine overall yes but not Japanese

Caliente Sorry, I mean カリエンテ
She probably likes them more than having kids
She thinks they're tacky.
Si
as a taki main ive never tried taki and i do not like taki

Brave enough to ask the real questions here
Taki and Hot Cheetos
She seems like a person highly in healthy lifestyle :3
Got one of those small bags from my goddaughter but it was blue. It was ok the first two I ate but after that it got foul.
Red ones are the best
Lmao I just imagine Taki in cookie monster slippers and some pj's smacking on some Takis.... She from the Bronx now
Katana? Shouldn't it be kunai or tanto?
Tanto
pretty hot I would say
At most, she'd look at a bag and go, "...Heh. Neat." and move on.
They make her refuse to have children.
She hates them...
she likes them bc they’re not kids
She’d go “HOOOOOO” (they’re too spicy for her)
He’s gotta take out the malfested after all
Nothing because they weren't around in her time.
are takis popular in japan? i can see them being popular but i have no idea
