That really really pisses me off. These people need to be made an example of. I'm not saying that they should be charged with anything that they haven't done, but they should be held to the full account of the law. To do any less simply encourages them.

If the cop is stationary, move away slowly and sideways; this allows you to keep an eye on the cop and avoid tripping. Moving sideways is also non-threatening to police. Do NOT run, but if the cop follows, stop and hold your ground.
