I hope that once the>!Henry and Martha Backstory!< ends, we'll get a Garden arc.
>!On the other hand, Franky hasn't appeared since chapter 87. I miss him.!<
Dunno why I clicked on your spoiler - haven't read the manga since the bus shenanigans, but know I gotta know: Did my "[theory](https://www.reddit.com/r/SpyxFamily/comments/zl84ut/chapter_72_how_they_got_to_know_each_other_fanfic/)" fully miss?
She was also in 98.1 but that's less a chapter and more a non Canon hold us over while he's on vacation. But that was a month ago when she was un that with the rest of the family.
Have been pretty patient so far with how slow the author lets the story progress. There is still much to be developed from the Forger family. It's been 5 years, I don't want to wait extra 5 years just to see Loid and Yor work together as Thorn Princess and Twilight or Anya help Damian stand up against his father.
What I'm afraid of is if the story becomes wrapped very quickly, like there's pressure on the author to end the manga in rush. And it would be very painful to see so much potential in the series only to have it end in a rushed way.
Given the hefty amounts of haitusses and slow progression, I think we have 4 outcomes for Spy×Family.
1. The Full Metal Alchemist outcome:
The story progresses so slowly that the anime will continue the story in its own way. But due to the anime culture being so different today, S×F is unlikely to have its own 'Brotherhood'.
2. The Berserk outcome:
The author being overworked to the point of health complications could result in an... unpleasant situation where the manga will be left unfinished. Or he just runs out of inspiration and is unable to finish the manga.
3. The Hunter × Hunter outcome:
The releases are so slow that people will just sort of lose interest. It will get finished someday... hopefully.
4. The good outcome:
The author is in a bit of a dip, but it'll get better. Just give him time.
I can be a bit of a doomsayer sometimes, but I do hope it'll get better. The story is really fun to read, even though I'm personally not too interested in Mr Hendersons backstory and I'd wish we can move back to the Forger family again...
I'll do you one worse, the Promised Neverland ending:
The author wants the anime to end as soon as possible and destroys it all in a single season, leaving both manga and anime fans bitter.
Let me add one worse? The Naruto ending:
Tatsuya drags the story for another 20 years and Loid ends up marrying somebody else! But don't worry, they end up having a kid that starts another manga: Anya Next Generations!
I still don’t understand the massacre of that story. I blame it on the pandemic suddenly making some people think the end of the world was near (including the writer of TPNL)
>I'm personally not too interested in Mr Hendersons backstory and I'd wish we can move back to the Forger family again...
I felt the same, I liked Martha and Henry's backstory, but I was a bit jealous that their flashbacks came first before Yor and Anya got theirs too. Still, a good arc though.
Imagine we're just here at the beginning of a One Piece length story.
We just don't know it yet
I know I didn't expect one piece to be over 1k episodes abd counting
People havent lost interest in Hunter x Hunter tho. Everytime a new volume is released it sales like hot cakes. That's likely why Shonen Jump hasnt cancelled it yet.
Not disrespectful or fucked up. They’re not hoping it happens. They’re hoping it *doesn’t* happen. They’re just listing it as a possibility given the Japanese manga industry (really Japan in general) overworks their talent a ton.
It’s disrespectful of you to imply that nobody can even *mention* the possibility of something Ike that happening again. If nobody acknowledges that as a possibility for future mangaka then nobody will learn from it.
In the context of why a manga might go unfinished, I think it's disrespectful to say that. I never said that it never happened but casually throwing in death as a reason a manga doesn't finish, to me, is disrespectful.
It's more that the arc we are currently at doesn't concern her much, plus the chapters release once every two weeks and we've had breaks and short chapters during that time. In reality story-wise I don't think it's been too long since we saw Yor
I just want a long yor focused arc. We have so many arcs around Anya and loid, but we only got one with the cruise arc which imo was the best arc in the series. I hope we get an arc on yor and garden side of things
So? I rather get some fleshing out of the historical backstory through the eyes of side characters than Yor for the tweleventh time having troubles buying groceries or shit.Â
Contrary to that, I wrote it in another thread just a couple of days ago. A fully fleshed out backstory for Yor is overdue. And I assume it will be coming soon enough. Probably in the form of a big Garden centric arc, involving Yors doubt if she needs to keep being an assassin.Â
I like Yor but tbh I find her to be a bit boring. We definitely need more of her back story because as it stands, I genuinely don’t really care for her that much
I really think the recent chapters are very much building tension for something big to happen.
We're on the edge of our seat with Anya and Damien, and we're getting an INTENSE war vignette.
Maybe tensions between Westalis and Ostania are about to reach a new height?
That happening at the same time that Damien and Anya are the closest theyve ever been and Loid is the closest to the goal of Operation Strix he has ever been would be a lot of storylines peaking very close to eachother. Notably missing from those storylines though are Yuri and Yor, and Bond. I wouldnt be surprised if Yuri, Yor, and/or Bond all have bigger chapters coming up soon.
I'm never right with predictions, but I think a new vision of a troubled future from bond, and maybe a scenario where Yor learns her brother is a Secret Police member, would be a phenomenal constellation of events leading to a climax.
That’s just how it is when you read manga as it’s releasing, the reality is it’s only been 6 chapters in that time since her last appearance which really isnt that much
Honestly I'm loving the shit out of the current arc with Henderson and you know who. I was actually yearning for some tragic twist and to know more about the war and stuff rather than the usual family shenanigans. Felt somewhat needed in a story where the plot seems covered with wholesomeness but has a lot of depth to it.
I would love more stuff with about the war!!! Even with the forgers, it would be nice if they had some more serious stories rather than just lighthearted outings all the time.
I really like Yor and her family, but this Martha-Henry arc is awesome! We will have many more Forger family arcs until the end of the manga than supporting character arcs
New chapter comes every other week. I do not think month is the appropriate way of measuring this. I'm sure the number will be more reasonable in terms of chapter.
These are the consequences of a biweekly update schedule, six months worth of chapters is literally like, thirteen chapters, not counting the weeks he was on hiatus or the short ones
Hopefully she’s not missing for as long as Sebastian and Ciel in Black butler. (They were not in the black butler manga for several years since it’s monthly chapters.)
I mean the manga has a release of once every 2 weeks if there isn’t any pause or hiatus. Also some chapters are just filler stuff like the extra missions or just a cover page art for the physical release. I tried letting months go by and comeback once there are a bunch of chapters released but what worries me is if more people do this then the creator might think people are losing interest and could just make a fast ending or drop this. Tbh I’d actually like to see this series become a monthly release if it means we got rid of the extra mission stuff. Give the creator time and space to move the story along
People may hate me for this ... but not really. Imho the current arc (and Bond and Loid's flashback chapters) have been some of the strongest parts of the manga so far in terms of writing.
Another garden arc would be really cool
Badass Yor arc
I hope that once the>!Henry and Martha Backstory!< ends, we'll get a Garden arc. >!On the other hand, Franky hasn't appeared since chapter 87. I miss him.!<
ohhh Franky 😠I miss him too!!
I MISS FRANKY TOO 🥲
My theory for a future arc is that franky or someone close to him who is also an asset to loid will be targeted by garden
OMG YES Franky my boiii
Man the Dance isn't even over yet we just paused near the end for several chapters
Yup total miss lol

Even tho loid is the spy we know more about him than we know about yor lol .
TBF, Loid is the chief protagonist. Yor and Anya are also protagonists, but they're the "family" in Spy×Family.
Yeah. Loid is the protagonist, while Yor and Anya are the deuteragonists
Loid was the original main character but at this point the series follows Anya more than anyone.
I need my momma back ASAP!!
my thoughts exactly!!!!!
She was in both 96.1 and 96.2 for a small portion each. It's more like 2 months.
maybe the tweeter meant appearances in a full chapter?
Yeah, it hasn't even been that long.
She was also in 98.1 but that's less a chapter and more a non Canon hold us over while he's on vacation. But that was a month ago when she was un that with the rest of the family.

Forgot the Demon Slayer outcome: for personal/family/health reasons, the author shrinks the story and releases a shallow hurry ending.
I'll do you one worse, the Promised Neverland ending: The author wants the anime to end as soon as possible and destroys it all in a single season, leaving both manga and anime fans bitter.
Let me add one worse? The Naruto ending: Tatsuya drags the story for another 20 years and Loid ends up marrying somebody else! But don't worry, they end up having a kid that starts another manga: Anya Next Generations!

Or you know we get the One Piece outcome and the story gets continued for years. I'm actually enjoying the little world building bits.
Imagine we're just here at the beginning of a One Piece length story. We just don't know it yet I know I didn't expect one piece to be over 1k episodes abd counting
I actually would like it if the author kept going slow
People havent lost interest in Hunter x Hunter tho. Everytime a new volume is released it sales like hot cakes. That's likely why Shonen Jump hasnt cancelled it yet.
Kinda fucked up and incredibly disrespectful to even remotely mention the second outcome you said.
Not disrespectful or fucked up. They’re not hoping it happens. They’re hoping it *doesn’t* happen. yeah it would suck that everything just quickly gets wrapped up in the end with little genuine development. hope that doesn't happen!
That doesn't make sense, I don't read the manga, but I thought yor was like, integral to the story?
It's more that the arc we are currently at doesn't concern her much, plus the chapters release once every two weeks and we've had breaks and short chapters during that time. In reality story-wise I don't think it's been too long since we saw Yor
She is, but she's never really been used much aside from 1 arc. She's basically a side character tbh
She used to be, not really anymore
I just want a long yor focused arc. We have so many arcs around Anya and loid, but we only got one with the cruise arc which imo was the best arc in the series. I hope we get an arc on yor and garden side of things
I hope so too. I really wanna know more about her

wdym "so"? I never said I prefer yor buying groceries??? ðŸ˜
Wasn't targeted at you specifically, but the people who complained about the No Yor situation.Â
I like Yor but tbh I find her to be a bit boring. We definitely need more of her back story because as it stands, I genuinely don’t really care for her that much

I miss her, but we had many Yor chapters beforehand. There's many other characters we haven't seen longer.
But I kinda miss her
True
I agree.
I really think the recent chapters are very much building tension for something big to happen. We're on the edge of our seat with Anya and Damien, and we're getting an INTENSE war vignette. I’m loving it as well, shows how brutal the world really is
While unfortunate... It's worth it for the current arc
She’s my fav character too
https://preview.redd.it/qku9cpbdtj8d1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=252892a343585f94f83cefe40f41e0b5c4ff20e0
Literally unreadable
Patience is key
Can't believe she hasn't been in the manga for 5 monthsðŸ˜.Hope next arc will have more of her.
She’s taking a cooking class.
Yor would be such a great battle shounen protagonist. She is stuck in the wrong genre

13 chapters is still a lot for a main character ðŸ˜
Hopefully she’s not missing for as long as Sebastian and Ciel in Black butler. (They were not in the black butler manga for several years since it’s monthly chapters.)
Sad. Yor was literally the only reason why I read it in the first place.
Omake

Oh dang you're right.
WHAT I DIDN'T READ THE MANGA WHY IS SHE GONEðŸ˜ðŸ˜
Nothing happened to her don't worry! 🩷 There just a story arc focused on other characters atm!
Oh wow. At least I know not to read the manga now
Is it because she's the least popular member of the trio?
I don’t want a Garden arc I want family adventures.
People may hate me for this ... but not really. Imho the current arc (and Bond and Loid's flashback chapters) have been some of the strongest parts of the manga so far in terms of writing.
She is like Kate Middleton
hahah our missing princess
Ever since the cruise arc she's been behind Yuri and Damian in overall importance. And Becky probably appeared more too
And she won't be in the next chapter either......
