Celtic_Crown

Good to hear she's alright, that landing was awful.

ImPaidToComment

I hope she really is okay and not just toughening her way through. Regardless of how one feels about a wrestler wishing them harm is never okay.

daprice82

Tweeting awful things at her is unwarranted. Why everybody gotta be dicks? That being said, it's pretty clear exactly what happened, you don't have to have in-ring experience to see it. She was completely gassed and couldn't rotate and/or flatten out for the bump. Shit happens. Just glad she's alright.

SomeGuy_GRM

Yeah, I noticed a few moves before it happened she was looking a bit out of it.

RanchPonyPizza

I thought it was a situation where Madison and Deonna had different ideas about how Madison was going to bump.

Stumblebee

Good to hear. Neck Strong 4 ever.

MARKYMARK_MARK

Good to hear. Madison is definitely at the point of her career where she either needs to hang up the boots or wrestle more often so she isn't as sluggish or rusty

The_Homie_J

She's been out injured, I thought this was one of her first matches back, which is why she looked a bit rusty

Irishnghtmare

I was there last night. Wait until you see how terrible the Mariah May and Anna Jay match is on Rampage. No one got hurt but it was worse than the two girls matches on Dynamite.

Ok-Salt4972

How is that possible? Mariah May had a great match with Aminata a few weeks back.

Irishnghtmare

Get back to me tomorrow night. It was awful, I don't want to spoil it for anyone. People were groaning in the crowd and a chant "slap those tits!" Was going for about 2 or 3 minutes because that was all that they kept doing. It sucked. Maybe it is more Anna Jay and less Mariah.

plisken64

Her track record unfortunately checks out

medioxcore

Anna jay also just had a really good match with the queen. ...queen putting the women's division on her back.

Ok-Salt4972

This just furthers my "Queen Aminata needs to be tbs/womens champ and not relegated to roh" agenda

fakerandyortonwwe

she's booked on AEW TV every week, that's not being relegated to ROH

Ok-Salt4972

Great. I hope im wrong, but we'll see if shes still on aew tv and not roh in 6months

Comp625

Mariah is hella talented, but she's still green when it comes to being a ring general. Her in-ring weaknesses are exposed when she's in the ring with other green talents (and Anna Jay is still very green despite being in AEW for years now).

OK_TimeForPlan_L

Cause Anna Jay is absolute shite unfortunately. She was promising in her first year but doesn't look like she put the work in to improve at all over the past 3-4 years.

viralbop

Thank God. That was scary.

TwizzlerStitches

What's the context here?

eviade

Landed right on her head during match

SomeGuy_GRM

She got gassed and botched her landing on a move. It looked like she landed on the back of her head, but her shoulders took the bulk of the impact.

theels6

Idk how she came out uninjured but thank God

---Pockets---

Wrestling fans being wrestling fans, y'all are the worst of the worst

KichoSanCutie

Why do we people suddenly want to erase Madison Rayne's career just because an unfortunate match happened? Sure the match wasn't good, very slow and uncoordinated with a dangerous finish but Rayne hasn't wrestled in a lot of months. I remember when Lita returned she legit almost landed on her head doing moonsaults.

VinEddiesel

Not trying to be mean but I was a big TNA fan and... I don't remember Madison Rayne ever being very good? I'm glad she's okay, but do you have any feuds or matches she had that are worth checking out?

UglieJosh

I remember her somehow not even being the best wrestler in the Beautiful People but I'll admit that was a long time ago, she might be better than I recall.

KichoSanCutie

I guess Angelina Love is probably the best in ring from all the members of the Beautiful People. She still wrestles and hasn't lost a step! Madison stepped up after winning her first title but damn..2010 is 14 years ago now? Holy

KichoSanCutie

For me her best era has to be her early years in TNA. While she's more known for character work, she's had great matches against Gail, Taylor, Angelina and Tessa. Feuds I'd say the whole Beautiful People thing when she was the leader and then Mickie James which is one of her most notable storylines.

KichoSanCutie

But she usually is faster, quicker in the ring. Yesterday's one was probably the only I've seen her looking gassed

RanchPonyPizza

I remember when Lita was getting consistent reps in her athletic prime. She still legit almost landed on her head doing moonsaults.

sjcrisel

I was very happy to see her wrestle, honestly I'd forgotten she was signed, glad she is ok, hope she is on tv more.

ihateeverythingandu

It was peculiar that a botched Downward Spiral did this considering I lost count after 16 for the amount of pile-drivers on Dynamite. It was absurd.

Clbull

AEW have some fucking cheek to call this [Move Of The Night.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=htYP6Lj8l0k#t=4m30s) If I were working for Intuit, I wouldn't want my brand to be associated with a dangerous and potentially neck-breaking move. Best safety record in wrestling, my ass. I don't know how Tony Khan can say that with a straight face when CM Punk had been through two backstage fights due to a poorly managed locker room, Chris Jericho has largely avoided allegations of being a sex pest without any kind of corporate investigation, and a female wrestler damn near breaks her neck on Dynamite. Madison was very close to ending up like Hayabusa.

[deleted]

Man what's is like having such an inside view of backstage?

HerFriendRed

That was fucking stupid. That damn ref is going to get people killed one day too.

MARKYMARK_MARK

??? the ref immediately paused the match to check on her and the doc was there too

MustacheDiaries

AEW refs don't have a great track record but this ref immediately put up his hands to stop Deonna and checked on Madison. He looked concerned and paused things for a minute. You could argue he should've stopped the match there, but it's not like he didn't check with Madison first.

medioxcore

Stefan was great when roddy took a rough landing a couple months back. Immediately blocked the pin attempt to make sure the boy was alright.

mattomic822

While I wish they did a more thorough check I will give props to the ref for immediately pausing things.  I will say that Deonna should have just pinned her instead of doing another move.

Sempais_nutrients

Well she did an ankle lock, it's not like she suplexed her after the bump.

MustacheDiaries

True, but at least the ankle lock has no impact on the head. I'm just glad Madison was OK, I gasped when I saw her hit the mat like that.

Standingonachair

Pokes with stick. Body moves. Yeah you can carry on now.

dmh11

*Referee immediately stops the match to check on her, everyone agrees Madison is fine.* *Next day:* Madison Rayne - I'm fine /u/HerFriendRed - No, you're not.

will122589

To be fair, Lance Archer said he was fine immediately after the botched swanton where he landed on his head and then proceeded to not wrestle for months afterwards

RepulsiveArugula19

I almost read that as "who checked on me afterwards?" Glad she's okay.
