Both guys are great and Ali is going to be motivated to have a show stealer in his first PPV match for a major company since his WWE release, especially against someone as good as Sabin. I hope Good Hands don’t get too involved. That has a chance of weakening the match and we already know the ME and its finish will involve seconds. It doesn’t need to happen in 2 title matches on 1 show.
The matches should deliver but the top 2 feuds being underdeveloped takes my excitement down a peg.
ME’s storyline feels like a missed opportunity. Match itself should be great and lean heavy on the storytelling. No DQ where cornermen can cause a DQ convoludes things. I hope 5 people at ringside constantly teasing the finish doesn’t take focus from the match.
Grace/Shaw should be good but it’s hard to get excited for Shaw challenging when she’s constantly losing title feuds and never gets credibility or momentum heading into PPV’s.
ABC/GYV should be great. Result seemingly depends on whether GYV are sticking around.
Sabin/Ali should be great. I prefer Sabin’s 10th reign ended with him making a new young X Division star instead of putting over the latest ex-WWE hire in their first match in classic TNA style, especially when Shelley’s historic reign ended last PPV potentially to get the belt onto a heel the latest big ex-WWE hire can chase.
Josh/Gotch should be good.
Kazarian/EY should be good, but neither excites me as singles guys. I’m not champing at the bit to see either face Moose at Sacrifice.
System v Jet Setters could be solid but I think it’s mainly there to set up the ME’s storyline for the night and further feed Time Machine to The System to try and get them over. It feels like they’re slowly cooling off a hot act without getting a cool act hotter in return.
