If you've never seen it, this is legitimately one of the absolute worst matches of all time, would probably be #1 if it was on PPV and not outside of a bowling alley in Evansville or something, where you expect that kind of garbage to happen.
I used to attend IWA-MS shows all the time from 04-08, mostly in Hammond/Highland. They put on some absolutely awesome shows with great workers like Kid Kash, Sabu, The Thomasellis, Punk, Styles, Danielson and even though I wasn't into the deathmatch shit, Necro, Pondo, Corp all put on a great show. Tank was absolutely fucking junk though, and the way he beat the shit out of that kid was absolutely embarrassing. Fuck Ian Rotten and fuck Mickie Knuckles.

IWA mid-south from like 2003-2010 is just a total fever dream of a promotion. So many insane matches and cards, that sound completely made up, sandwiched between some of the worst wrestling I’ve seen in my whole life
I was just gonna come in and say the same thing. From 2002-07 i went to IWA constantly and it was legit one of the best indies. I fell out of wrestling for a period after Benoit, and thusly quit going to IWA, and I'm glad because this was absolutely disgusting. They really never recovered from it either as a company. Bunch of dumb asses.

Ian Rotten getting called out by former IWA wrestlers and he having to shut the fuck up gives you years.
Just want to point out that Eddy Steinblock was the owner of a company called EPW, he was also the World Champion of EPW....for 13 years, his reign ended in 2017....when he died, he was such a dominant champion that the only thing that could end his reign was death
He and his partner were also the company's first tag team champs. He held that belt for over a year almost continuously (they lost the titles in the semi-main event of a card, then won them back in the main event).

The Levy thing is actually worse than it seems.
The problem is that, by most accounts, Levy isn't entirely there. Nobody talks about what specifically is the problem - odds are nobody in the business actually knows him well enough to speak on that - but he was one of those guys who was dangerously incompetent in the ring and didn't seem to understand what he was doing wrong.
Now the smart thing to do would simply be to not book him, or at least not book him in anything he could screw up, but Ian had to be Ian. And somehow he still got booked into both IWA-EC and IWA-DS after this. Ok, DS shouldn't be surprising, but Pondo was usually better than that.
According to Cagematch Sexy Star, YOSHIKO, Ian Rotten, and Mickie Knuckles are all still wrestling as of a few years ago. Knuckles in particular had a match a couple of weeks ago.
Disgusting. Just disgusting.
With Yoshiko the story is long, complex and a culmination of backstage politics I don’t believe either where the main instigator of. Also notably I believe Act has forgiven Yoshiko for the affair.
In terms of just pacing and raw execution, I don't think it can get worse than Steinblock vs One Warrior Nation. It's only 9 minutes long, but it felt like 40, and they botched just about every basic move they did.

You did justice for Steinblock vs OWN, my favourite match to watch on Discord voice chats. Just a genuinely incredible match in a way that’s not necessarily good. It’s the Okada vs Omega of bad wrestling. Towards the end there’s a mediocre Irish Whip and you pop because that’s far and away the best move of the match yet. It might be the best move in the match overall. Just incredible bad wrestling.
Crazy that only Elite fans have that power when there are TNA, NJPW, Stardom, and even an AEW match on this list.
Also give the list an actual read and try to make a case for Ibushi v. Marufuji being worse than any of them.
Ibushi went out there with a broken ankle and wrestled for over 30 minutes, breaking his other ankle in the process. The finish was him just falling on top of Marufuji. He was crying before the bell rang and couldn't stand up at the end. I genuinely think whatever doctor cleared Kota for that needs their medical license revoked.
