This is what taxidermy outside of a museum should always be. Animals in ridiculous outfits and situations. Why the hell would I wanna look at a moose head without a Santa hat? If the swordfish doesn’t have a leg sticking out of its mouth I don’t want it on my wall.
Rewatching presumably Owens maybe held on to Theory a bit longer than he thought with the stunner so he couldn't get the jump timing right? Only reason I can think of for it
I love that he’s the smartest guy in wrestling, not cuz he’s some mastermind, but seemingly just by having a very, very basic ability to notice what happens week in, week out
It's funny because he got outplayed once by Dean Ambrose
When Dean turned his back to ko but was facing the big screen and Kevin tried to attack him from behind. He dodged and said there's a big screen over there
So noticeable it really ruined the entire thing for me.
It didn’t even look like a sell into a cutter. It looked like he took a stunner, looked at Orton and then jumped into his cutter.
Absolutely it was so goofy. Theory is very athletic but he got a bit too lost in the sauce this time around. In trying to jump high for the RKO he totally no sold the stunner.
I feel like they've forced it so much now... It's no longer "out of nowhere" because you can always almost tell when they're setting it up now.
Someone goes for a springboard in the climactic moments of a match? Probably an RKO.
Someone does a wake-up taunt before running to hit a move? Probably an RKO spot.
If someone has any sort of finisher or main move with any sort of wind up? Probably going to get spun into or jump into an RKO.
For me personally the holy shit "out of nowhere" moments only really work as much if they aren't done every single week.
Like HBK's superkick which seriously was just often completely out of nowhere and surprising, they never made it into such a big thing as to where fans were always anticipating it, or where the "unpredictable" became predictable because matches/moments are specifically forcing in a surprise RKO.
That's why apart from the Rollins one, I think pretty much all my favourite RKO's come from before the "out of nowhere" tagline. Even Bourne, Carlito, reversing Undertaker's chokeslam etc.
Man I know people don’t like but I appreciate Austin theory for doing dumb shit like this. He’s being forced to make Logan Paul have some credibility going into mania and he’s doing this silly awesome shit for it.
The whole point was for it to look ridiculous… holy shit no one hates wrestling more than wrestling fans. It’s wrestling it’s supposed to be dumb, grow up.
No, he fucked it up.
Watch how Scott Hall took the stunner (staying on his feet and jumping back in one smooth motion)
If Theory did that and twisted in the air it would’ve been fine, but he paused before jumping for too long and it looked like shit.
This is the net result of every aew post complaining about something looking janky getting so much engagement. This sub has devolved into a circlejerk of "does it look 100% realistic??". When wwe has something stupid, people have to dunk in retaliation.
As if hogan in the 80s sitting on the ground being "stretched" for 5 minutes was realistic. They literally just SAT there, no fighting back, to catch their breaths. And thatt is somehow the gold standard of "it was believable"
Yall are so weird. That did not look good at all even in a comical way especially because it wasnt even supposed to be a comical moment. Let this shit happen in aew or njpw and its the end of the world yet it happens on smackdown and its "awh its cute and funny its okay it looked bad!"
Yeah. When that guy took the FamASSer and bumped out of the ring a couple weeks ago, there was a bit of a meltdown. (I thought it was hilarious)
This would have been good but they had a timing or maybe and angle issue and it looked bad. But honestly no big deal. Wrestling is supposed to be fun and silly and entertaining and if executed right that would be entertaining.
It would have looked better if he went backwards off the stunner into an RKO instead of forward…. Nobody ever goes forward off of the stunner….. except that ugly ass one Vince took.
And that was exactly the point, to make people laugh. It’s wrestling it’s kind of supposed to be dumb. But then you’ve got the people calling it horrible and over analyzing the jump that takes it way too seriously.
Yeah, I don't really have any problem with it. This is just what he does and has done for a while. Definitely wouldn't outright call it horrible.
There's always room for silly shit like this, so long as it isn't convoluted and takes ages to get to the payoff (that time obviously varies for each situation). That's about as far as I'd go to over analyze it haha
Y'all do realize that just because something is supposed to be bad doesn't make it exempt from criticism, right??
I'm usually the last person to criticize silly shit in wrestling, but this just looked a little too ridiculous even for me.
That whole brawl was terrible everybody was off.
Theory’s sells are becoming more and more ridiculous he clearly can’t do the flippy sells or good oversells.
The way Theory just launched himself into the RKO after the stunner was so silly and awesome. I loved it.
Also, Waller getting steamrolled by Owens moments earlier was funny too.
I’ve not been watching much WWE—-are Austin Theory, Grayson Waller and Logan Paul now a ‘douchebag trio’….because that fucking works.
When Judgement Day splits bring in Dom and you’ve got the most hateable heel faction of all time
Yeah, the actual idea is clever when everyone jump sells a stunner now, but he seemed to lose his footing right at the jump, so had to re-do it and it looked awful, lol.
It is Theory though, he's getting those "The Way" himbo vibes about him again so it kind of works, lol
Not the best execution but it was a fun the idea.
I was hoping we’d get Orton vs Paul 1 on 1 but it’s looking more and more like the triple threat. Happy KO got on the card, but feel like a singles match would have been bigger and better.
All the hype about Theory being a great worker, you see it more and more. That entire Vince storyline did no favors for him, but Theory eating finishers will never not be entertaining.

A stunner into a RKO, now I've seen everything.
Correction, [NOW](https://frinkiac.com/img/S07E04/761009.jpg) you’ve seen everything.
Yes, but have you ever seen a guy say goodbye to a shoe?
Heh, yes once
"Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?"
well then you **haven't** seen everything.
This is what taxidermy outside of a museum should always be. Animals in ridiculous outfits and situations. Why the hell would I wanna look at a moose head without a Santa hat? If the swordfish doesn’t have a leg sticking out of its mouth I don’t want it on my wall.
But what about a finglonger?
Did not look good at all though
Springboard stunner
He literally no-sold the stunner and then jumped. That's what it looked like.
Rewatching presumably Owens maybe held on to Theory a bit longer than he thought with the stunner so he couldn't get the jump timing right? Only reason I can think of for it
Execution sucked
Have you ever seen. Man eat his own head?
Man eats own head is my favorite internet clip.
Loved that KO was, per usual, too smart/aware to just take that RKO.
I love that he’s the smartest guy in wrestling, not cuz he’s some mastermind, but seemingly just by having a very, very basic ability to notice what happens week in, week out
He has a better memory than a goldfish, which in kayfabe is practically a superpower
Tbf, in (and out of) kayfabe most of his coworkers have been hit in the head an awful lot. So he’s big fish who can remember the small pond
This is how I will think about wrestling in kayfabe going forward! Thanks!
He exists in kayfabe but doesn't participate.
He has King Crimson, but for kayfabe instead of time!
It's funny because he got outplayed once by Dean Ambrose When Dean turned his back to ko but was facing the big screen and Kevin tried to attack him from behind. He dodged and said there's a big screen over there
I like to think of that as the start of his awareness
Him and Samoa Joe, legendary for always seeing an opponent about to fly at him and simply stepping out of away.
KO is the Abed of WWE?
Jumped a bit late on the stunner
Whatever the opposite is of “didn’t get all of it”.
Damage multiplier applied!
He got "some of nothing"? Actually, that's not a bad description.
"a bit" is generous.
Yeah, it looked silly.
Looked really shit taking the punches that sent him to the outside, too.
I mean even the run in knock down looked bad. This was pretty terrible all around lol.
Just a collection of things that looked better in their heads.
It made me laugh lol reminded me of when Ryback would make a comeback in a match and his offense was a lot of pushing haha
I took that as he was trying to escape the beating.
KO just kept holding him, using Sonic charging spring physics, to maximize the potential energy of the launch
Thanks Regal
So noticeable it really ruined the entire thing for me. It didn’t even look like a sell into a cutter. It looked like he took a stunner, looked at Orton and then jumped into his cutter.
Absolutely it was so goofy. Theory is very athletic but he got a bit too lost in the sauce this time around. In trying to jump high for the RKO he totally no sold the stunner.
KO dropped too late as well
Why do I feel that Logan Paul would have sold it better.
Man they’re really setting up the RKO from anything these days LOL
A new way to setup the RKO *and* a new absurd Stunner sell all in one!
I loved HBK's outta nowhere Sweet Chin Music. Oh, he's only 5 inches away from his opponent, he'll never hit it from there. *hits it* How the fuck?
Thank you. It was “out of nowhere” like three times ever. Most are pretty damn obvious.
When the game glitches
Wrestling is so fucking dumb. I love it.
Same.
It was a funny botch but would have still preferred to see them manage to pull off the spot properly.
Looks like Micheal’s selling Hogan’s moves
Rock selling stunners.
Rock selling stunners.
Could use some little work, but that selling is hilarious regardless.
Theory has crazy hops
Air theory
Man I know people don’t like but I appreciate Austin theory for doing dumb shit like this. He’s being forced to make Logan Paul have some credibility going into mania and he’s doing this silly awesome shit for it.
He looks great and bumps like a champ what’s not to like
How stupid this move looked, it was sloppy and looked like shit
Yeah they've turned Vince's boy into a comedy jobber.
Lol that Theory jump was too obvious
That was bad lmao, jumped way too late. Good idea, bad execution.
Shouldn’t have jumped, should’ve just been dazed and turned into it
Ok.. that look stupid..
Sidenote I dig Owens' pink shoes they look good
Theory over-selling is fun usually, but this looked so bad lol, dude just hopped up into that rko and made it insanely obvious
The whole point was for it to look ridiculous… holy shit no one hates wrestling more than wrestling fans. It’s wrestling it’s supposed to be dumb, grow up.
wrestling can look dumb, but its not supposed to look fake. this was absurd
I'm sure Theory himself would tell you that he messed it up lol. He hesitated at the jump at first which is why it looked so janky.
Just need to up the FPS
No, he fucked it up. Watch how Scott Hall took the stunner (staying on his feet and jumping back in one smooth motion) If Theory did that and twisted in the air it would’ve been fine, but he paused before jumping for too long and it looked like shit.

My thoughts exactly. People throwing a blind eye because it’s WWE
Only a few, there’s a lot here (rightfully) saying it looked shit
[удалено]
I mean i wouldve even taken bouncing back towards the ropes and into the RKO
Yeah. When that guy took the FamASSer and bumped out of the ring a couple weeks ago, there was a bit of a meltdown. (I thought it was hilarious) This would have been good but they had a timing or maybe and angle issue and it looked bad. But honestly no big deal. Wrestling is supposed to be fun and silly and entertaining and if executed right that would be entertaining.
Man, A Pop Up RKO would have looked so much better IMO.
lol they did that one a few weeks ago
It would have looked better if he went backwards off the stunner into an RKO instead of forward…. Nobody ever goes forward off of the stunner….. except that ugly ass one Vince took.
Y’all do realize the whole point of the stunner into the RKO was so he could make it look as ridiculous as possible right??
So fucking janky and dumb, but it made me smile. Jeez he can get so much air.
The small hesitance by Theory into the jump. “Fuck, here we go!” Lol
Was the only thing that took me out of it a little bit, but like, fuck, what else could he do? Hard thing to setup perfectly, so I'm fine with it lol
And that was exactly the point, to make people laugh. It’s wrestling it’s kind of supposed to be dumb. But then you’ve got the people calling it horrible and over analyzing the jump that takes it way too seriously.

Wait so he fucked up the timing on the jump intentionally?
Y'all do realize that just because something is supposed to be bad doesn't make it exempt from criticism, right?? I'm usually the last person to criticize silly shit in wrestling, but this just looked a little too ridiculous even for me.
Defensive much? It was a botch. And its ok. Everyone botches from time to time. No need for mental gymnastics
Ridiculous is fine, atrocious timing of the jump is what sucked about it
It worked, that looked fucking dumb
> as ridiculous as possible Then stop blaming the fans who dislike it, it was ridiculous like you said.
Lmao that looked terrible
Austin probably wishes he could have that one back. I 100% believe he can sell that combo like a pro and the timing just felt way off tonight
Just when you thought you've seen everything...
Kevin Owen’s stunner looks fucking slow and shitty Jesus Christ
I need face Austin theory in my life.
Ko: did we just become best friends?
That's so goofy lol
I love this. But if it happened in AEW people would be RIOTING IN THE STREETS.
I do not like it, and I agree. It looks bad and if this happened on a Wednesday people would shit on it
That whole brawl was terrible everybody was off. Theory’s sells are becoming more and more ridiculous he clearly can’t do the flippy sells or good oversells.
lmao the way he jumped into that rko was hilarious
Goofy ahhhh sell
I like the concept but the timing on that jump was horrible.
that was horrible
that was ludicrous
AEW can keep Will Ospreay, Kenny Omega, Okada and Brian Danielson. THIS is real wrestling.
I love the posts saying "If this was AEW it'd be praised!" while most people here are praising it lmao
The way Theory just launched himself into the RKO after the stunner was so silly and awesome. I loved it. Also, Waller getting steamrolled by Owens moments earlier was funny too.
would’ve preferred a “stunned” Theory walked into the RKO 😭 but goated regardless
I love the idea of this, but the execution needs a little work. Either way, Theory can get some crazy height! Dude is in killer shape.
I’ve not been watching much WWE—-are Austin Theory, Grayson Waller and Logan Paul now a ‘douchebag trio’….because that fucking works. When Judgement Day splits bring in Dom and you’ve got the most hateable heel faction of all time
That was so stupid. I need so much more of it.
That looked stupid, but fun.
Hilarious
Stupid and fun and I heckin love it!
Yeah, the actual idea is clever when everyone jump sells a stunner now, but he seemed to lose his footing right at the jump, so had to re-do it and it looked awful, lol. It is Theory though, he's getting those "The Way" himbo vibes about him again so it kind of works, lol
I've wanted to see Orton and Owen's against each other for a while now. Glad we are getting some capacity of it.
Worst stunner sell of all time. Let's just forget any semblance of physics or anything. Linda McMahon took it better.
Theory is gonna get over with the crowd if he keeps dying in such comically impressive fashion
As long at it leads to something else he’s the next Ziggler in WWE. Overselling can definitely work against a superstar, look at Ricochet.
I need a KO & Drew fued where both dudes are never outsmarted by the other
This was so close to being an awesome combo if Theory got his jump right.
There’s a select few that actually know how to take a stunner if he got that jump timing right this would have been awesome
Love Randy almost RKOing Owens because he’s got such a hair-trigger on the move. Hate the sell on that stunner, oof.
The guy crying about Jack Cartwheel last night probably loved this.
Terrible job by Theory
Well this proves that pro wrestling is fake!
That Stunner into the Rko was awesome
That was amazing
So shitty but so awesome
Too bad theory looks like he was literally jumping higher than he’s ever jumped before.
Bruh I never like Theory but he’s so wasted being a jobber Also, he was an amazing seller
Theory is an interesting choice to be the new Dolph Ziggler but hey, this gimmick for him has been great so far
looked terrible but I love the attempt
That jump though. Took me out of it.
Not the best execution but it was a fun the idea. I was hoping we’d get Orton vs Paul 1 on 1 but it’s looking more and more like the triple threat. Happy KO got on the card, but feel like a singles match would have been bigger and better.
That was so fucking stupid and I loved it. Do it again.
Man Theory is in danger of getting Ziggler’d with how he be selling for everyone
get ready for the BANGER AFTER BANGER button
Lmao that looked terrible but it was hilarious so all is forgiven
[удалено]
The pop-up RKO from last week was better IMO just because it's so fluid.
I mean, this is objectively very stupid, but do it again please.
I loled
Randy’s main priority upon returning: doing as many crazy RKO’s as he can
He's like "I have like 500 RKOs left in the tank, I gotta try and fill up the list of unique ways to hit it while I still can"
One of these days, I'll see Austin Theory get hit with a Spanish Fly/RKO combo
I fucking love Theory. Dude makes everything look fantastic.
Austin Theory sells beautifully.
All the hype about Theory being a great worker, you see it more and more. That entire Vince storyline did no favors for him, but Theory eating finishers will never not be entertaining.
Theory is dolph if he didn’t get a full rebranding and stayed as Nicky . His selling is just perfect everytime and super talented as well
This was way too AEW
No if it was AEW esque they would bleed and take unnecessary chair shots to the head and Sammy G would come out and hurt someone with a clumsy spot.
Stop throwing a blind eye to how goofy the execution was.
I recognize that it was stupid as hell.
if theory didn't stomp before the jump it would have worked.
