Back in highschool my friends and I put on a stage play of Trouble With Tribbles (super exaggerated and over the top to make it a comedy) . I co-directed and was originally supposed to play Scotty but I ended up playing Bones, and I was so much happier. Playing the angry straight man to an over the top Kirk (one that kept forgetting his lines so I didn't really have to "act" angry) was so much fun. My fabourite line was, "Dammit Jim, I'm a doctor not a veterinarian!".
We also rarely get the Picard-Riker combo where Riker's just out to needle his captain, especially the scene at the start in Rascals.
Straight Word is hilarious because he often doesn't get the joke. Straight Picard is just as funny *because* he gets the joke and is just pained by it.
It's the little "Oh crap!" afterwards that really sells it. Bro was more prepared to have a life or death battle with one of the team's strongest enemies than he was to deal with a pregnant woman in labor.

Definitely. When Joe first joined the company I fantasy booked him and Hook both joining the BCC so even though that didn’t happen at all I’m super happy they decided to go through with pairing them together. I have a feeling this is gonna elevate Hook so much more than his FTW title reign did.
Agreed, they both have similar styles, that smart brawler/submission specialist. Also, Joe is a master on the mic, I'm hoping pairing them will help Hook in that regard too.
It's so funny because, especially early on, Samoa Joe always reminded me of Taz. That same suplex/submission style, but somehow Joe is even more athletically gifted.
I would say no Suzuki because he stopped working NJPW in December (exception of the one Chicago show that he had already been announced for), but AEW are trying to pretend Lio Rush is still an NJPW guy so I guess all bets are off.
I’m not saying it would be an issue for him to work AEW, I’m saying he shouldn’t really be an NJPW representative there. So the match you posed wouldn’t really be Forbidden Door, it’d just be AEW guys and a freelancer (or two IDK if RVD got a graphic or not).
It's wild how well this pairing works, along with Shibata. They already had great chemistry during their mini feud back in January, and I'm glad they saw the potential there and decided to continue with it, cause it's paying off very well.

I just can't suspend belief when it comes to 5'5 150lb "tough" guys though. If hook was a chickenshit heel getting tossed around and only getting the upper hand by cheating and other nefarious ways, he'd be believable. Instead, he's the superman-like "cold hearted handsome devil" killer with less than 100 matches in his career, tossing guys three times his size around like they are pillows.
