I haven’t had a chance to watch it properly(just on silent in the car while my missus is driving)
Without Vince in his ear I’m assuming we have a new Michael Cole?
> There's nothing you can do that'll make the match interesting.
Look, personally all I needed was Brock to do more than his 2 moves but this was sure something.
The last 10 minutes of that match were the chaotic trainwreck I hoped for and more.
The visual of half of the ring being IN THE AIR was fucking bizarre.
Lol I was thinking the same thing. I go to a lot of shows and am constantly thinking about all the possible obstructions when picking seats, especially for a big show like this with the big posts and things like that.
So all I was thinking was if I had bought one of those tickets where my view was now obscured by a tipped over ring, I’d be like damn, they fuckin boomed me.
That moment was so incongruous but lovely. The music hit, you saw Seth and Dean making their way through the crowd with the same glowering expressions they always wore, and right behind them—fuckin’ Kurt Angle in tacticool gear, almost bouncing on his feet, wearing a shit-eating grin like a little kid left in a toy store overnight.
Legit an all time call I think. We’re gonna see replays of this match for a long time. They finally made it feel as big as it should. Coles call helped it big time
Cole has been great since McAfee showed up and revitalized him (in his own words).
I'm sure it's easier on him since Vince left and isn't screaming at him all night, but this isn't a new development because Vince is gone either.
He was going nuts for Wee Man at WrestleMania. His call of Liv's cash in was great.
No Vince helps but ever since he's worked with Pat, he's rediscovered his groove.
Haven't heard that level of energy and passion since JR in the Attitude Era days. I hope the AEW commentators are taking notes, and I say this as someone who has typically hated Michael Cole.
Literally just devolved into fucking carnage
The ring flipping
Heyman going through the table
Roman hitting Brock with 20 different forms of bullshit and not keeping him down
The whole Theory thing
Roman beating unconscious Theory with his briefcase out of frustration
The fucking ending by burying Brock under the announce table
I've been watching wrestling for around 30 years.
I watched this with a buddy that's been watching longer than that.
We both looked at each other and said "never seen that before"
props to Corbin for helping him out though, that Superplex spot on the buckle was almost botched and could’ve ended badly for Pat but Corbin held onto him so he didn’t fall. Absolutely one of the safest workers in WWE Corbin.
Cody winning the Rumble to win the title his dad didn't and finally dethrone Roman at Mania writes itself.
Only obstacle is a Rock return, but they could have Rock cost Roman the title at some point so Rock/Roman doesn't need to be for the titles. Maybe to Seth.
I think Rocks involvement should be stopping the Usos. Come back and disappointed with the way the family is represented, keeps the Usos and Heyman from tainting the match.
For the first time in a long time im actually excited to see what happens next in the WWE. The show did its job, it was super entertaining and set up things to come
I truly don't know where to begin with how fuckin' insane that LMS match was.
Brock lifting the damn ring is frontrunner for Spot of the Year. Like, holy shit, that sight of the ring for the rest of the match. LOL.
They've always been there. There's a slightly different version they use for his exit theme after a win that has more of it than the entrance version. It sounds strange as a result.
Fun show. I don’t care if it was Triple H or Vince’s vision. It was a fantastic time. Only thing is Uso’s should have lost and more Seth. I was more than sports entertained and tits were titillated.
WWE PLEs have been really, really good starting with Wrestlemania. It's been a great streak. This one definitely continued it for me.
Bianca/Becky was a great match with an even better aftermath.
Logan Paul was great and Miz showed why he's one of the most reliable hands in the biz.
The Last Man Standing match was the most over the top silly comic book bullshit ever and that's what it needed to be.
I wasn't overly hyped for the whole show or the main event. Both ended up being much better than I expected. The main event was absolute peak sports entertainment in all the right ways!
Their Last Man Standing Match went full Buried Alive for the Finish and I FUCKING Love it. So many great spots, and that Tractor spot is instantly Iconic. Also Roman telling Theory he's a "Stupid Sonuva Bitch" Lol.
Summerslam delivered and I was entertained. For HHH's first PPV, it was damn good.
Edit: Can't NOT mention Bayley finally returning.
Didn’t agree with the results for every match, but I still really enjoyed the show.
I LOVED the commentary. It felt so much more relaxed and comfortable, less forced catchphrases and more natural reactions, and Michael Cole getting to show that he is actually really good at his job.
Felt like a great way to wrap up the Vince era, and really kick off the HHH era.
That was a main event worthy of 680 day reign of the Tribal Chief. An incredible fight that lived up to the billing.
Acknowledge them! All who doubted Lesnar vs Reigns as the SummerSlam main event should eat a healthy dose of crow. Maybe find some from Brock at his farm.
What an unbelievable show. For the longest time, I would watch and usually have other stuff to do it would be on in the background. I didn’t get anything accomplished tonight I was entertained from top to bottom. What a great start to the new era hopefully!
First WWE PPV I've watched since 2015 and damn that was fun to watch.
I forgot the incredible aura of a stadium show, I'm a sucker for pre match promo packages plus 3 and a half hours are a much better range for a PPV.
Dunno how much of tonight was Triple H or Vince booking but I'm definitely gonna be paying more attention to the weekly shows over time.
So I’m only a casual wrestling fan now, after I really loved it in that like 2011-2015 run. I don’t remember the last time I lost my shit at a wrestling spot like flipping the ring. That was unreal, and so unique too. Because WWE loves redoing their stunts, so to see something so bizarre that’s never been done is unreal
Brock said fuck it, we doing video game spots today. King of Yeehaw Style in this bitch.
Legit my only complaint is changing Io’s name to IYO SKY. The Sky part? Sure, I can get with that. But Iyo? Idk about that one chief.
**[Make your voice heard by voting on /r/SquaredCircle's official poll for tonight's show; who was your wrestler of the night and what was your match of the night?](https://forms.gle/iqNTQ55mkCdPxBtn7)**
Brock literally exposed the Dark Side of the Ring
Hornswoggle in shambles
He should have been there lmao. Imagine Brock upending the ring and this little bastard just scampers away
They destroyed his home. Now he’s coming for payback
Brock wake up you have to move your tractor bro
Somebody give him a ticket
You have 20 minutes to move your cube
Michael Cole was the best he’s probably been in a LONG ass time. Give the man some kudos.
Best since Beast in the East
Roman’s arms flailing as he fell down when the ring got tipped is gonna stay with me
It was perfect motion. It looked exactly like someone whose world was tipped on it's arse needed to look like. Because it was.
Triple H? More like 4H. edit: this was an [agriculture club](https://4-h.org/) joke. i’m here all week.
Headbooker Hunter Hearst Helmsley
His friends call him Quad.
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD...COUNT FASTER!!! \- Cole Cole was terrific on commentary
He sold the fuck out of that finish. My mans was like "BROCK LESNAR IS GONNA FUCKING DIE! WHAT THE FUCK!"
Great all night. Literally his best MR PPV I think
Instant classic of a line. Cole's getting a lot of praise tonight, and he deserves it.
Mans is reaching JR levels out here
I was thinking the same but didn’t wanna be hyperbolic. Cole was giving me JR energy in the best way tonight
It’s like finally there is no crazy 70 year old geezer yelling in his year to talk like a robot.
Dear Michael Cole. For everything I've said in the last 20 years. I'm sorry.
Listen fuckhead, I forgive you
What is this in reference to? I've read it a few times today
https://youtu.be/Sx1PhviIAt4
Me too. He was phenomenal tonight! Count faster dammit had me rolling!
I haven’t had a chance to watch it properly(just on silent in the car while my missus is driving) Without Vince in his ear I’m assuming we have a new Michael Cole?
for real, now that Vince is out of his ear he sounded like he wanted to be there.
Roman should have piled Paul's lifeless corpse on Brock as well.
That would have been fantastic imagery.
Fans: We're tired of Roman vs. Brock! There's nothing you can do that'll make the match interesting. Triple H: Hold my sledgehammer!
> There's nothing you can do that'll make the match interesting. Look, personally all I needed was Brock to do more than his 2 moves but this was sure something.
This is the match they should have had at Mania. Better late than never.
The most dangerous thing in that Last Man Standing match was having a vehicle that close to the Usos’s.
COUNT FASTER DAMNIT
WE THE ONES (that shouldn't be driving)
We are the 1.0 blood alcohol
ACKNOWLEDGE ME (& my BAC)
Damn dude haha
God God Almighty!
Better roasting than the Roast of Ric Flair.
One minute in and we can close the post show thread. We have a winner.
Close the thread
Goddamn
Hit 'em harder than the entire Street Profits match.
CLOSE THE DAMN THREAD BAH GAWD
GOD DAMN.
Might be the best comment I've ever seen in this subreddit
Paul Heyman is dead. F
After watching this story with Lesnar and Roman for a long time, it was about time Brock put him through a table
I was looking forward to him getting inducted in Philadelphia in two years. F
Well they always do at least one post humous inductee
I was really hoping they would drag him over and toss him on that pile on Brock 😂
The last 10 minutes of that match were the chaotic trainwreck I hoped for and more. The visual of half of the ring being IN THE AIR was fucking bizarre.
Heyman took the F5 through the announcers table like a champ but he looks like shattered glass
And sold it straight through the end of the PPV
The visual of him being lifted up by both Usos was pure bliss
That was the best image of the night
I said that to my wife, Heyman sold that for the rest of the match.
Heyman saw an opportunity for a nap and took it
I'm sitting there yelling "HOLY SHIT, GOOD FOR HIM!" as the 56 year old not-wrestler is put through a table. Thanks for that, Paul.
It was so Attitude era like in the best way
Ye I got Rock Mankind vibes with the level of craziness plus creativity
Which is exactly why everyone ate it up lol. Attitude isn't rose colored glasses it was just more fun.
First ppv when triple h is back and someone is already getting buried
This should have been the Mania match.
Holy shit! That was amazing.
I don't want another Lesnar/Reigns fight because I don't think they can top that. What a fucking phenomenonal performance by both men. Bravo.
Not without getting into deathmatch territory. Put this rivalry to rest.
I still can't believe Dakota Kai is back a week after Triple H took charge
Joe would've been back in a heartbeat too lol
Whoever suggested the tractor deserves a large raise
The ring got a huge raise
RIP the little people's house.
Probably Brock and they couldn't say no
“If the tractor’s gone, I’m gone.”
That was the coolest "fuck up the ringside area" spot any companies ever done
Prayers up if you spent $5k on a ringside seat by the entrance.
I am so god damn sports entertained
Most sports entertained I have been since Kurt Angle joined The Shield at TLC
He was so happy.
Shout out to Michael Cole. Great performance tonight, he really is great without Vince in his ear.
I think he dropped a “god damn” after Brock lifted the ring
He totally did! The audio feed dropped when it happened
Yeah they had to cut that out
Ronda was also "Pissed Off"
Ye they bleeped him out
*COUNT FASTER!*
Legit an all time call I think. We’re gonna see replays of this match for a long time. They finally made it feel as big as it should. Coles call helped it big time
That is exactly what I was thinking. He was phenomenal in the main event.
The biggest weight in the world was lifted off his shoulders when Vince stepped down
He pretty much said just that lol. Corey said "I liked it better when you couldn't have an opinion" And Cole said "well things are different now"
Cole has been great since McAfee showed up and revitalized him (in his own words).
Dudes going to have a career renaissance and by the end of it we may say he was better than peak JR
That main event gave me some Attitude Era vibes. Just absolute chaos in the best way.
Literally just devolved into fucking carnage The ring flipping Heyman going through the table Roman hitting Brock with 20 different forms of bullshit and not keeping him down The whole Theory thing Roman beating unconscious Theory with his briefcase out of frustration The fucking ending by burying Brock under the announce table
Roman hitting Theory gave me KO kicking Alex Riley flashbacks.
For real. Overbooked isn't always called for but sometimes it needs to be.
Did you **see** the ring??? *He flipped the bitch!!!*
I ***thank*** you for the Clone High reference.
STAMOS!
...Wesleyyyy.
[удалено]
Somehow they structured a match that revolved around getting a tractor over
The ring being lifted up has to be one of the most iconic WWE images of all time
Gonna be so overplayed in all their top 10s. I fucking loved it.
Last man standing should be just straight chaos. And look at that shit. Just crazy
That’s going in video packages from now till the end of time.
Alongside the milk truck and monster truck
I've been watching wrestling for around 30 years. I watched this with a buddy that's been watching longer than that. We both looked at each other and said "never seen that before"
We live in a world where Pat and Logan Paul look like superstars
Pat is a motherfucking superstar! Seriously, there are so few people in this company more over than him.
props to Corbin for helping him out though, that Superplex spot on the buckle was almost botched and could’ve ended badly for Pat but Corbin held onto him so he didn’t fall. Absolutely one of the safest workers in WWE Corbin.
Starting to think Johnny Gargano might not be here guys
WWE's Mephisto
I BELIEVE IT’S TIME TO SEND ANOTHER FRUIT BASKET
THE BIGGEST FRUIT BASKET OF ALL TIME!!
Of the SUMMER!
That felt like a Wrestlemania. Just so much fucking fun.
This should've been their Wrestlemania match. The final Roman vs Lesnar match to end the tale.
They did mention Brock has had more SummerSlam main events than anyone, in which case it's fitting to end at SummerSlam
Has to be Cody
Definitely Cody. Story writes itself.
I hear you, but if Rock is free to be at Mania Hollywood, I feel like you have to just have them wrestle.
I hope
I'll take Cody v. Roman over Rock v. Roman.
*In loving memory of Paul Heyman. 1965-2022*
Well, maybe not loving, but he sure left a memory. And an imprint on that table.
For the first time in a long time im actually excited to see what happens next in the WWE. The show did its job, it was super entertaining and set up things to come
Well, I'm watching RAW on Monday. So, that tells you all you need to know about this show.
Don't let the main event distract you from BAYLEY, DAKOTA KAI, AND IO!
I truly don't know where to begin with how fuckin' insane that LMS match was. Brock lifting the damn ring is frontrunner for Spot of the Year. Like, holy shit, that sight of the ring for the rest of the match. LOL.
He tried to kill Roman during the match.
At this point someone is going to have to literally run Roman over with a tank and pin him with it to win.
Somewhere, Miro's ears just perked.
I am so fucking sports entertained. Michael Cole was great tonight. Good signs.
There was a missed opportunity not having Hornswoggle run from under of the ring following the tractor segment
Think he might've literally died if he was hiding under the ring
Paul Heyman died for our sins
I enjoyed every second of that main event, from the entrances to the final bell. Awesome.
The opening 2 matches, womens angle and Roman/Brock were GREAT Middle of the show really fell off, but I still think the show was enjoyable.
What a main event. Paul Heyman is a legend for the F5 sell. It’s an all-timer in terms of performance.
Has there always been small parts of the Shield theme in Roman’s solo theme? Or am I going crazy
They've always been there. There's a slightly different version they use for his exit theme after a win that has more of it than the entrance version. It sounds strange as a result.
I’m still stoked about Bayleys new group
Fun show. I don’t care if it was Triple H or Vince’s vision. It was a fantastic time. Only thing is Uso’s should have lost and more Seth. I was more than sports entertained and tits were titillated.
Triple H is one for one, but I feel like everyone that works for the company feels rejuvenated now. Everyone’s optimistic, and we should be too.
This just in Jericho’s sports entertainer of the week is the tractor
I wasn't overly hyped for the whole show or the main event. Both ended up being much better than I expected. The main event was absolute peak sports entertainment in all the right ways!
Literally the best Summerslam in a LONG time.
This is why Brock Lesnar gets paid what he does
He really is the biggest star they have
If you have low expectations for a WWE show the chances it’s gonna be absolutely insane are 10/10
I need a cigarette
I don't think they should let Brock drive that tractor back.
Yeah and who is going to tell him he can’t, you?
Easily the best Reigns and Lesnar match and a pretty damn good show top to bottom
The show felt like it was booked to entertain the audience and not the booker
I’m so fucking happy Vince McMahon is no longer running WWE Creative. That is all.
Yeah, HHH delivered on all fronts tonight. Bayley returning, the Main Event. Up and Down the card it was a fun time.
HHH! HHH! HHH! HHH! HHH!
Easily the best Roman/Brock match ever. Hopefully that's the last of it.
I can’t believe Paul heyman is fucking dead
What a phenomenal show. They blew it away.
That was easily Roman/Brock best match. Also, anyone else think this had a Mania feel?
Their Last Man Standing Match went full Buried Alive for the Finish and I FUCKING Love it. So many great spots, and that Tractor spot is instantly Iconic. Also Roman telling Theory he's a "Stupid Sonuva Bitch" Lol. Summerslam delivered and I was entertained. For HHH's first PPV, it was damn good. Edit: Can't NOT mention Bayley finally returning.
Logan Paul better than Dominick.
My fat ass is better than Dominik
Tractor versus Roman at Wrestlemania
Michael Cole was on fire tonight. Main event was just bananas. Loved it.
WWE is in good hands.
I feel so good being alive and watching some classic, iconic matches like seth v cody hiac and todays last man standing match, live.
Triple H’s Takeover: WWE has officially started
Paul Heyman died for his Tribal Chief
Greatest Roman/Brock match that didn’t involve Seth. Absolutely incredible finish. That’s how you end a feud for good.
Wrestling is better than the other things you watch.
amazing stuff from Triple H, the future’s bright in WWE
Loved Bayley, DA BIG DAWG and Io showing up after Bianca vs Becky
So I’m only a casual wrestling fan now, after I really loved it in that like 2011-2015 run. I don’t remember the last time I lost my shit at a wrestling spot like flipping the ring. That was unreal, and so unique too. Because WWE loves redoing their stunts, so to see something so bizarre that’s never been done is unreal
Reigns rolling out of the lifted ring is going to be shown in quick montages for the next decade
Now THAT is the WWE I have wanted to see for years. An immaculate show. Wrestling fans eating good right now. The business is booming.
I love wrestling
that main event fucking ruled. i seriously doubted it was gonna be anything remotely good. i was wrong. i was thoroughly entertained.
Brock said fuck it, we doing video game spots today. King of Yeehaw Style in this bitch. Legit my only complaint is changing Io’s name to IYO SKY. The Sky part? Sure, I can get with that. But Iyo? Idk about that one chief.

Lmao he came out, hit Roman with the briefcasegot hit with an F5 from Brock, then just died.
Really good show. The only thing that was bad was Double J didn't break a guitar over anybody's head.
Quite surprised with Logan Paul he put on a really good match. I see a bright future for sure. This PPV was very fun though. Not bad WWE.
