If it’s any consolation- Real Earth City is mostly 1-story warehouses in the floodplain. So, no exciting architecture. The most exciting thing is the large school heated by a landfill (is that Earth City, or Champ?).
Earth City is just the business park (not much more than than the Rider Trail loop). But like a lot of places in Missouri, unincorporated areas just use a nearby landmark as a city name. Likewise Spanish Lake is all unincorporated. It gets its name simply due to the fact it's near Spanish Lake Park.
Champ is essentially just the mine and landfill boundaries plus the mega church and rental homes behind the mega church owned by the mining company. The methane collection from the leachate being used to heat the school is definitely cool, though.

Just click 'images' button. Or, click the maps (middle image) in your post. And then when maps loads just scroll left panel down and click "Photos". That should give you all the images submitted to google (I see buildings, motels, etc).
