They’re here TWICE! Once at Factory around around September, then again at Fox in November!
Edit: aaaaaand [I’ve been seeing the wrong Fox Theatre](https://www.foxtheatre.org/events/detail/king-gizzard-the-lizard-wizard). Was mis-listed locally a few months back as well.
Every prog forum I go on tells me to listen to them. What album do you think would most prepare me for that show? I feel like prog is my favorite music to experience live.
Damn I wish I was going to that, I tried to look into getting tickets semi recently and there were only a few left for hundreds of dollars apiece.
Felt stupid for totally underestimating how hard it would be to get tickets for it
I hope Sting plays What Could Have Been. I don’t Have a lot of hope for it, but if he did I might legit cry during the show.
Kicked myself for not going to see Billy Joel the last time he was here. I refuse to miss it this time around
My first concert ever was Billy Joel and Elyon John, dueling pianos style. 11 rows back on the field of old Busch Stadium. I do actually still remember it somehow!
I like the Music Park more than Riverport, but it is still severely unimpressive, especially for bands that don’t have huge stage acts to go along with the music
I couldn’t stomach the ticket prices. I know it’s not Taylor Swift bad or anything, but I have a barrier with paying around $100 for a shitty nosebleed seat, regardless of who it is.
I grew up on James Taylor. My Dad always told me I'd request Walkin' Man when I was still a little snot nose.
He's easily one of the GOATs.
Anyone who tries to tell me that Fire and Rain doesn't timelessly slap can GTFO
Iron and Wine and the Decemberists but just saw McClusky in Chicago Friday and going back to Chicago for LCD Soundsystem in May. Maybe John Moreland at Off Broadway in April.
I went to dethklok and baby metal. It has no business being as good as it was. Also Queens of the stone age with Viagra Boys was a banger. Going to Limp Bizkit in july and I'm pumped for that.
No shame, but NKOTB and Paula Abdul. I missed when she came in the 1990s because my family went on vacation. I was obsessed at 12 years old and now finally get to see her perform.
Off Broadway was some fantastic shows coming up. Shovels & Rope, John Moreland, William Elliot Whitmore, Vincent Neal Emerson, Vandoliers w/ Jon Snodgrass...they just keep coming. Cheers to the bookers over there, we're looking forward to hanging on Lemp this Spring.
In order for this year so far: Sierra Ferrell, Hermanos Gutierrez, Daniel Donato, Molly Tuttle, Phish, Khruangbin, and King Gizzard
I'd love to catch Charlie Crockett in August as well but I'm following Phish to Indiana
Postal Service. Mickey Darling at ORH. I’m going to be the oldest person there by 15 years I can just feel it.
Finally checking out Just Like Heaven fest at the Rose Bowl this summer. I know it’s not local but maybe if I scream loud enough Miike Snow will come back to STL.
# PHISH!!!!!! My first two shows ever!
Portugal. The Man May 6th will be awesome too, It'll be my 10th time seeing them.
Evolution Fest is going to be awesome, no doubt.
Sarah McLachlan is doing the 30th Anniversary of Fumbling Towards Ecstasy in June. I wore out two copies of that CD back in the day so I'm definitely looking forward to it!
Went to see Greta Van Fleet in Cleveland right before they went to Europe... and then right after they announced they were coming here. So... I'm very excited for that!
Better Lovers and Foreign Hands, Kublai Khan and Justice For The Damned, Knocked Loose and Loathe, Dying Fetus and Psycho-Frame, Novelists, Dying Wish and Mugshot, and that I Prevail/Halestorm/FFAK amphitheater show.
A lot of bands I want to see aren't coming anywhere near STL and many of them used to always stop here, idk what's up with that.
The show I am looking forward to is Something Corporate's 20yr reunion tour but I'm trekking all the way to Nashville for it.
Tickets bought for:
* The SteelDrivers
* Des Rocs
* Nothing But Thieves
Tempted by:
* Judas Priest and Sabaton
* AJR
* Vandoliers maybe
* New Found Glory
And not a concert but I'd like to thank this thread for making me see that Joe Pera added a St Louis date!
Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Styx/Foreigner (I have front row seats).
Those are my top for excitement for stl shows, but I have over 30 concerts planned as I have the lawn pass too
Greenday/Rancid, and Marilyn Manson. A slight rant but Manson went sober and, apparently found his faith, and he's been doing really well and got his shit together. I'm rooting for him. His last album before he got cancelled was amazing. So I'm hyped to see him and I'm hoping he makes a triumphant return.
What else... Creed is coming too I might go see them just to mumble Scott Stapp noises along to their songs. I just saw Mammoth WVH a few weeks ago so that was one I was really looking forward to. Uh.. Wednesday 13 is announcing shows soon so I hope they come back through as well.
Phish, goose, younger mountain band, khruangbin and Sierra Ferrell are definitely my top 5 I’m most excited about but it definitely looks like we have a good list of artist coming in this year!
Thinking about going to see Beck and Jane's Addiction, but I don't really like festivals so we'll see.
BUT I'm super excited to see Pearl Jam in May, but I'm flying to Vegas for that. My tour buddy friend and I decided to skip seeing them at Wrigley this time because it's such a huge venue.
I can't wait to see The Bygones at Blue Strawberry next month! I've been following Josh Turner for over 10 years on YouTube, and Allison Young on Tik Tok for a while. Now that they are paired up and writing incredible music, I can't get enough of it!
King Gizzard
WHEN? I missed that one
It’s the Fox Theater in ATL, not ours. But September will rock!
See you there 🦎
Every prog forum I go on tells me to listen to them. What album do you think would most prepare me for that show? I feel like prog is my favorite music to experience live.
If you’re into prog check out Polygondwanaland. If you want a diverse listening experience check out Omnium Gatherum.
This is an impossible question they have like 200 albums and all of them are completely different
Infest the Rats Nest and PetroDragonic Apocalypse
Where!?!
See you there!!
Is it worth $500 for 2 people?
Damn I wish I was going to that, I tried to look into getting tickets semi recently and there were only a few left for hundreds of dollars apiece. Felt stupid for totally underestimating how hard it would be to get tickets for it
Khruangbin and Hermanos Gutierrez
Excited to see Khruangbin and can confirm Herman's Gutierrez are amazing live
I saw Hermanos Gutierrez at Bonnaroo last year and they were amazing
Where’s Khruangbin playing?!
The Factory in Chesterfield, later in the fall
I like you
ditto my bro
Billy Joel and Sting, yes I am old. Evolution Festival lineup looks solid too.
I am also old... Can't wait for Billy Joel.
I saw Billy Joel last summer in KC with Stevie Nicks. They were both fantastic.
Saw sting at the pageant several years ago and he was great. Recalled stories of Mississippi nights and how much he liked that venue.
JEFF ROSENSTOCK
STL show got delayed so long but WE'RE ALMOST THERE
Yes! I can't wait. 2nd tour in a row their STL show got delayed due to covid.
Phish, King Gizzard, Tedeschi Trucks Band w/ Margo Price opening
You seem like my kind of person
Can't waittttt for phish
I'm interested in Tedeschi Trucks & Margo but I've never seen a concert at the Fox and am worried the acoustics will suck
They do. Hate to say it!
Cage the Elephant
Oooh when??
9/12 @Hollywood Casino Amp/Riverport
Avett Brothers and Trampled By Turtles. Just wish they were back at The Fox and not STL Music Park.
I like the Music Park more than Riverport, but it is still severely unimpressive, especially for bands that don’t have huge stage acts to go along with the music
it gets so fucking hot in there! i do not get the design at all. why is it fully enclosed?! i prefer how open riverport is.
It’s a hockey rink! Gotta do something with it in the summer.
Postal Service
The deathcab and postal service is the one I can't wait for. I'm sad the Alvvays show is the same night and had to pick one
I was so stoked when they added STL dates
This may actually be decent- especially since they have DCFC with them.
I couldn’t stomach the ticket prices. I know it’s not Taylor Swift bad or anything, but I have a barrier with paying around $100 for a shitty nosebleed seat, regardless of who it is.
I saw the show in Seattle. It was great!
I saw the show in Seattle. It was great!
Gary Clark Jr
The Amity Affliction and New Found Glory🤘
Dying Wish is going to crush.
I’m honestly going for Currents because they slap live, haven’t seen Dying Wish yet but I am prepared to die in the pit.
Swans. Slowdive.
When?
Swans are May 10th at Delmar Hall. Slowdive is May 4th at the Pageant.
Woah, had no idea either were coming here. Thank you!
Just saw Slowdive in Tokyo. 10/10 recommend. Definitely going to the STL show
Chicago and Earth, Wind & Fire. Haven’t been to a concert in years and am stupid excited about this one! Also realizing I am old now lol
My dad texted all of us a few weeks ago about how he was so excited to see Chicago in Vegas and all of my siblings and I were like "who?"

James Taylor. Yes, I’m old.
I grew up on James Taylor. My Dad always told me I'd request Walkin' Man when I was still a little snot nose. He's easily one of the GOATs. Anyone who tries to tell me that Fire and Rain doesn't timelessly slap can GTFO
In Flames, Knocked Loose, Bodysnatcher, Spite, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rancid
Chappell Roan!!
I saw her at Olivia rodrigio and immediately bought tickets for the 30th! Just mad I didn’t get any GA tickets in time 😢
One of the best debut albums I've ever heard. Absolutely phenomenal.
Agreed. Addicting from the start
Same!!!!
Lake Street Dive
They’re so good live!
The 2-night Phish show at Chaifetz
Iron and Wine and the Decemberists but just saw McClusky in Chicago Friday and going back to Chicago for LCD Soundsystem in May. Maybe John Moreland at Off Broadway in April.
Blondie at Evolution. Killers (my secret passion cause I don’t want to be a pop fan) is just icing.
Yea Blondie is mine too. Go see a legend and oh by the way Beck also happens to be there. Very cool.
Beck at Evolution is mine.
Primus
I’m Mainly going for Coheed, who were great last time they came around. But I may be inclined to sail the seas of cheese.
Where and when?
>Primus August 3rd (Saturday) at St. Louis Music Park. Coheed will also be playing a set.
Phish, Gizz, Khruangbin, Goose in that order. I'd go to Primus too if I wasn't following Phish to Indiana that weekend.
I’m in the same boat with missing primus for deer creek phish instead. Better luck next time I guess!
HOZIER!!!
Going out of town big shows but i might hit JRAD and Terrapin Flyer, Gizz would be cool but tickets are high and my concert budget is tight this year.
~~Gizz is also at 2pm on a Thursday. Very inconvenient timing~~ Ignore me. It’s 7pm

Jason Isbell

confirmed, dethklok was a really sick show.
Dethklok and Babymetal was awesome. Country Roads on the way out was very on brand XD
Dethklok is touring again this year with Dragonforce, but you'd have to go to KC or Indy.
DCFC/Postal Service Can I include Brett Goldstein stand-up in this? Because I'm pretty stoked for that
Alpha Wolf at Red Flag !
No shame, but NKOTB and Paula Abdul. I missed when she came in the 1990s because my family went on vacation. I was obsessed at 12 years old and now finally get to see her perform.
Noah Kahan!
The only one I’m really interesting in is Robert Plant and Alison Krauss coming this Summer. Their first album was fantastic.
