The amount of misinformation here is laughable...

This whole post makes me so sad for this child. It's obvious there is some kind of abuse going on. I hope the child gets the help that they need. I know Atlas and its teachers and know they were doing all they could for the child. Unfortunately, some families believe they know more than the schools where they send their children and it sounds like this is one of those cases.

Very concerned for your son. It's always a shame when children are the ones to pay the price for their parents inability to parent well.

made an account just for this post? no sustenance to your story at all. maybe you should take educating your child into your own hands and see if you could do a better job. better yet since you’re an educator you could work for them and be the improvement you want to see. do something instead of crying online

That's interesting to hear, they've scored really well with DESE the past two years. Best of the city charters actually

Scores are one thing - leadership is another. Our son's teacher for example was previously let go by the Hazelwood district the year prior and then picked up by Atlas. Not using any names here. Source: am a former educator that knows lots of educators and admin in other schools and districts.

msgage123

That is not true. The teacher you are speaking of was never let go. How sad that you feel the need to spread nasty rumors about a perfectly well-meaning individual who only wanted the best for your child!

What is OT?

SensitiveSharkk

Occupational therapist I'm guessing

redsquiggle

Thanks. Overtime sure didn't make sense. I just looked that up, and it just sounds like what a parent is supposed to do. So this is a nanny?

Educational_Skill736

They’re for kids with development issues

That's what OT means to a lot of people.
