Ok hear me out, The Summoning.
I'm sure this one will make it to the top 5 or something, but I don't feel like it deserves that. It fits the scene perfectly, with the LiB being so otherworldly and different than everything else surrounding them. But as a song? It's just the same short phrase being repeated over and over and over again, with a bunch of dialogue breaks in the middle. If Take Me Back got taken out for being long (?) and Show Stoppin Number keep almost getting out for having a dialogue break, I don't see how this one's different.
I agree with this tbh. I think a lot of the defenders of this song are too busy defending the uncomfortable aspect to realize it’s just kinda a weak song.
I disagree, I think it’s a really good song. Vocally it’s Angela’s strongest outing imo, Will kills it as usual, their vocals when singing together are immaculate, and it has this really nice groove that makes it both unique and fun to listen to
Even though mill-von-cat-jack made an excellent point and almost changed my opinion, I will vote for showstopping number again. The talking part just pauses the song part for too long and it annoys me.
Listen: Cool As I Think I Am (REPRISE)
The original is fantastic but this one is just a shorter version to build up emotion in the scene. It’s alright but it’s also a combo of If I Loved You which isn’t as good. Great as an emotional beat but in terms of music it’s just two songs we’ve already heard mashed together.
Black Friday.
It's not a bad song in a vacuum, but it's like the 4th freaking ballad. If not for the dialogue break with the General it wouldn't tell us anything new about Lex, or move the story forward at all.
inevitable for me, if our doors are open which is a beautiful reference to little shop and shows the beautiful vocals of corey looses i'm gonna throw my wiggly into oncoming traffic
As absolutely ICONIC as it is, I think its time for our our doors are open
Show Stopping Number
I’m with you on this one, I don’t find it as compelling as the rest

I can’t believe I’m voting show stopping number so this doesn’t win.
The dialogue breaks have some of the most perfect chords though
I hate how right you are
I agree without the visuals large parts of the song are meh to me as well
...yeah, you're right. It's cool, but I don't have it in my top 10.
idk how it got this far tbh, i always listen to The Summoning part and skip as soon as The Lords in Black start 💀
I mean you‘re not wrong
Our Doors are Open
Join us and Die, it’s a good song but not top twenty material
La Dee Dah Dah Day Kind of shallow without being as bombastic or memorable as a song like Show Stopping Number
"Dirty Girl"
It's a good song, but we're at the point where everything is good.
Nooo!
I agree. Just because the 2 actors had no chemistry 😅
I agree with this tbh. I think a lot of the defenders of this song are too busy defending the uncomfortable aspect to realize it’s just kinda a weak song.
I wouldn't call this a "weak" song I just think, the remaining songs are better

Maybe immaculate isn't the right word given the context...
How about “devilishly delightful”?
Yes
The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals
Made in America..

Dirty Girl. It's not bad, I just think the rest are better.
Our Doors are Open
Time for the doors to close
I don't agree but that's an awesome pun
<3
Still wild to me tied my heart is out. Still wild. I still cry
Show Stopping Number has always been a bit overrated to me. It's funny and iconic but I don't ever listen to it.
we need to get rid of guy who didn’t like musicals, it’s the weakest of what’s left
Our Doors are open, unfortunately
La de dada day, you know it’s hard when I choose that song
dirty girl
The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals
Show Stopping Number
Cool As I Think I Am
Cool as I think I am. It's a weak song
GET COOL AS I THINK I AM OUT
Cool As I Think I Am (Reprise)
Feast or Famine or Made in America
Made in America. It just felt so choppy after one of the most phenomenal villain monologues I'd ever had the pleasure of witnessing.

Black Friday is so much worse than half of what’s already off
Black Friday is such a good song tho 😭
Our doors are open
inevitable for me, if our doors are open which is a beautiful reference to little shop and shows the beautiful vocals of corey looses i'm gonna throw my wiggly into oncoming traffic
Join Us and Die for sure
