"Do you use mods" isn't judgemental. It's the SDV equivalent of "Have you tried turning it off and on again?"
It's the most common first guess for why something broke, if it's an uncommon glitch
The sub doesn't dislike using mods - the most popular mods are widely praised. What people dislike are posts requesting help but not giving useful info to get the answer - because people don't mention they have mods installed until asked, or that they have map mods that are probably causing map-related bugs
An analogy would be walking into a doctor's clinic and telling them you have a stomachache but you don't remember eating anything weird - when in fact the previous night you downed a bucket of cheap oysters
Except doctors are obligated to help so they'll power through the list of obvious questions. We're not
54 mods is not an obscene amount of mods but it is a lot, depending on how much those mods change they can absolutely break a game

If you load up a SMAPI log then it’s easier to see what mods are conflicting.
In your terminal, Are there any red lines of text? Sometimes it will tell you what mods are conflicting if you just read in the terminal
had the same problem recently. I use Immersive farm remastered but have Grandpas farm installed as well. make sure you have the correct farm layout installed or active if you use vortex and disable the other.

you probably used a mod that changed the farm layout.

i do! im just not sure which one could be causing this i don’t believe i have any that affect the farms map

For a "happy" subreddit this place hates anyone who uses mods. Very judgemental and shameful.

I was referring to the downvotes, not the question, it's a good question. But having people pile downvotes whenever the answer is "yes" isn't good.

At worst, you can use the mod call use chest anywhere to get back your stuff (edit: a word)

if you’re talking about removing the chests, you can download a noclip mod to reach them, remove the contents, and destroy the chests
