One iridium Rabbit's Foot offers 80 friendship points. Max friendship is 2500. 2500÷80 is 31.25, and since you can't round down, you'd need to gift 32 of them per NPC(31 if you supplement the .25 with a lower tiered item(worth 20 friendship points.))
If going for 32, he would need 1056 Rabbit's Foot to max out all friendships with NPCs-Penny. They still need about 600 more, assuming all their relationships are currently at 0.
Skull cavern serpents also have a 0.8% chance to drop. Qi Season some luck based food items, have the rabbits foot in your wallet pouch, and combine rings into luck rings so you have extra benefits with extra luck and go ham, especially on iridium luck days.

If you only talk to them when you gift them, you need 18 per NPC, not 32.

I’ve been waiting to stumble across what machine I need in the game to combine iridium bars with all these objects and it JUST occurred to me that maybe y’all are referring to the purple stars.

I didn’t invest in universal gifts. I just memorized everyone’s loved gifts and gave accordingly . I am also mentally ill so the universal gifts are probably the way to go
I always get max friendship with everyone just by doing jobs, gold mayo for the luau(120 friendship with everyone), and giving loved presents on birthdays. Had everyone maxed out before the end of Y2.
For me it’s gold. I need 5 gold bars per crystalarium, so it’s the one mineral I’m always low on. I have 250 iridium bars from prismatic shard hunting.
for copper and iron what i like to do is:
- go to level 20 in the mines
- go down the ladder to level 21
- mine all the ore, kill the monsters as well
- go back up the ladder, repeat
you can do the same thing with level 40/41 for iron. usually brings in 150-200 ore per day, even more depending on your mining level, luck, tool upgrades etc.
Place some chests at each mine entrance. I even use Junimo Chests for my bombs and staircases. I don’t care if I pass out at 2am, I’ll just go recollect my stuff in the AM.
I do exactly this every time. I have junimo chests at both cave entrances. I even place chest around the valley for days like fishing or outside of Clint’s to put all my junk so I can break open a hundred geodes at a time.
I’ve got one at the beach for my fish and crab pots, one at the Stardrop for liked gifts that I don’t have to run home for, one at Clint’s for bars for upgrades and uncracked geodes, one at Robin’s for resources needed for upgrades and buildings, and one at each mine entrance for stuff to store while I’m mining. I have a couple at the skull caverns to store food and other lucky items I might need.

I didn't know you could do this. I put a chest on the beach and it was gone the next day with the stuff on the ground. So I assumed you couldn't put them anywhere but on the farm.
I finally started upgrading on year 4, and discovered how to get the galaxy sword I believe it's called thanks to my beloved friend lol (another thing I'm bad with: upgrading tools) I'll post an update when I get home lmao
I believe the book is in 1.6, and the book seller can have it, but I got my from the machine at mayor Lewis house. It was about 5 or 7 tickets in and it just a pink book with a heart on it. I do not know the math on how much it increases but I guarantee there someone on wiki or YouTube who does or has a excel table of it for every item lol.
I hate when it takes my weapons, on a previous venture it took my hammer but thankfully some others reminded me of Marlo (I don't remember his name I'm sorry if it's wrong) in the adventures guild, you pay him and he'll retrieve things you lost for you. I got my hammer back long after I lost it and no longer even need it but it's cool I got it back lol

Your forgetting birthdays, which does multiply affection by I believe 3x, do that on two birthdays each and its 28 gifts each so it's only 924 then

If you use emeralds instead you get ~3 per week, letting you give penny her favourite gift twice a week with only 1 crystalarium

Close out of the game before you go to sleep and when you load it up again it opens at the beginning of the day, essentially resetting it:)
