Sorry for reviving this old thread, but I had the same issue for the past few days and my problem was with PowerTools (I had SMT disabled on a persistent profile by accident), after restoring PowerTools to its default settings and restarting the deck it started working again
Based on protondb, try using proton exprrimental
didnt work

hey my guy thanks for dropping by, its weird but i just uninstalled and installed it again, then it worked this time :)
