a simple SR gate, with the "occupied signal going to a **not** gate, which is connected to **set**. the space trigger will be connected to **reset**. Both seat buttons are set as push.
I always use lua, but I guess it would be something like this:
If speed is greater than 10km/h, wait 5 seconds, show flashing light, start a 60 seconds countdown, show flashing light, repeat. If not reset after 3 seconds, make loud noise. If not reset in another 3 seconds, disable switch input, disable throttle and brake input, apply full brake, apply 0 throttle, until speed is 0. And also, it should work regardless if you're in a seat or not, since what if train driver goes away from his seat while the train is going?
Spacebar is used for bombs/torpedos in nilitary builds( like divebomber tripple engine flying boat I am slowly getting to).
It is cause it is mapped like this in War Thunder so muscle memory helps.
On my trains it's the emergency brakes, activates both recuperation and standard brakes at full strength and gearing regardless of the current throttle position
I used to use it in bigger ship as starter or as a way to enable engine cooling system
seat buttons are a good way to save space and have instant access to a specific buttons but it would be better if we could see if a button is enabled or not so in bigger creations where additional few blocks are not a big deal and we fast response is not that critical, they kinda loose their purpose
\*also instrumental panels with swichers give internals of the vehicles that chief's kiss\*
I sometimes use it for an emergency stop, or a similar function that needs to be quickly and reliably accessed. Aside from maybe WASD spacebar is probably the easiest button to press
I use it for a horn in almost all my vehicles, mostly because I pretty much only make cars and trucks.
I put the main and most used controlls as the seat buttons while less used things have a physical button on the inside or outside.
I have uploaded two creations using the configurations and systems so I can send the link if anyone wants to check them out ;)
In some of my cars i use it for the honk.
I use it for the park brake Not much use of honk in SW if you’re playing single player
Step 1: put horn on top of vehicle Step 2: connect to constant on signal Step 3: enjoy sweet new tunes while playing! (Works trust)
Trust
Instructions unclear, only hear voices in my head
I used to use it as a clutch when I didn't have automatic gearboxes
Same, manual gearboxes are more fun though
Pretty much all my test rigs use that button to initiate the process im testing
I use space to disengage the clutch
nah I use it as brakes
I use it in my jets as the button to activate the cannon :)
In train it's dead man's switch reset
How would you do that? Does the toggle for space bar turn off automatically when you exit your seat?

i use it for car horns
W H I S T L E S
I set the trigger to mb4. I use it almost everything from horns, lights, weapons, connector disconnect ect ect
I use it as emergency FULL brake
I have it bound to lmb and use it to test missiles, vehicles, engines, etc.
I just set it to left trigger cuz I gotta be able to jump around in my seat
Brakes
Turning on search lights, horns, toggling crane magnets and such
I use it for the horn
Brakes usually
it's just fire/launch on most of my planes. select weapon and use space to fire it
I use space in my planes for soft braking to aid in taxing
I use it for radio PTT
It’s perfect for horns/whistles, use it all the time

Parking brake on moat Road vehicles and attaych/detached for my crate crane
I like to use it in boats for zeroing the engines throttles quickly. Especially for my azipod or water jet propelled creations.
On my trains it's the emergency brakes, activates both recuperation and standard brakes at full strength and gearing regardless of the current throttle position
I use it as the variable brakes on my creations.
Well it’s good for most single button presses as it’s easier to get to
I use it for my cranes, cars, aircraft

Usally use it in testing, just to see say a complex pivot does what i should
If it doesn’t have guns I use it for parking, or while it’s still a prototype sometimes to start the engine

It's my starter until I make the interior
Spacebar works best as parking brake and gun trigger, change my mind
1,2 are my sticky manual collective up/down to override the up/down arrow keys in my helis. Space bar though.....
I use it for zeroing throttles
Umm brakes?
Best button for reverse?
Yes
I use it for honking your horn, on almost all my boats and cars
i use button one as reverse sometimes and trigger as horn
as a (for now) only train biulder, i cannot share my opinion here (hehe 7 buttons go brrrr)
Vehicle horns and guns
I usually use trigger
I use the trigger for my water cannons on my vehicles.
Space = handbrake
I use all 3 on 90% of my creations 💀💀
Always breaks
Brakes, crane vehicle arm/steering switch, horn, aircraft control strength and any other special action
I think key button is used more by less experienced players but keyboard controls tend to be used by more experienced players
Naw I use it every time for the feeeels I love that click sound Newbies dont change the turn time to 0.5 secs lolo
I use it for the brake
