And all of those write ups need to be taken with massive grains of salt unless it's coming from known and trusted sources. People will find shit that doesn't exist or won't know what they're looking for and post garbage.
Then you'll have people just posting plausible sounding stuff but not actually go to the arcade.
Even if it's a "trusted source" I probably won't believe it. It's only been 2 months since Big Bird made everyone think Drive Rush had a universal hurtbox nerf, just because he felt like he could counter it more consistently with Marisa 2MP
yeah, but it was only Chun/Ken/Rashid and it was a downward hurtbox expansion, so only specific, low-angled normals became better at checking those DR jabs. [This](https://twitter.com/Bigbird_fgc/status/1762745665103298884) is how Big Bird described it though
I don’t know how people even misunderstood what was changed. It takes 5-10 minutes to skim through patch notes and read what was implemented when they release. It’s crazy how quick people jump the gun and believe whatever they hear someone say without doing actual research. Pro player or not, always fact check for yourself.
Which is different from a universal DR change. Which kind of highlights the problem that it's easy to get stuff wrong when trying to quickly find it during very limited time during an event
Welcome to Japan
There's lost media from arcade trade shows like JAEPO that had arcade cabs available for public test which then never to be seen again (scrapped completely). And with no photo/video signage enforced
Case in point, try looking up Konami's Otoiroha or Saikyou DJ Anikurage / Rizminance and you'll find little to no videos, just promotional materials. Or as recent like Pop'n Music Welcome to Wonderland and Jubeat (new cabinet and logo)
It's probably all to do with marketing strategies etc. When they want to provide public footage of Akuma and when they don't. Maybe too much footage released too early doesn't actual benefit then from a sales point of view.
I was gonna say this. That is very weird and dumb honestly. Especially being that he isn't new. Even his moveset is the same as SF4 and 5. I can see if it were a new character they were introducing to the game.
It's crazy, i mean half the fun is trying the new things while you go through patch notes, at least for me. I don't want to judge, but i think some people are less interested in enjoying the new things than they are about knowing about it and watching pros chew their food for them.
Sure, people will find more optimal stuff than me, but the discovery process is priceless and we don't get that often.
I also don't understand people who chase leaks.
Maybe I'm old.
We've been waiting for an entire year.. just because you play super casually and can't keep up with normal play doesn't mean everyone else needs to do so as well. Crazy phenomenon that people who are interested in a hobby want to discuss said hobby. Just crazy
If you need information beforehand, i would argue that you can't keep up with normal play. I'm 1700 MR and i like exploring changes by myself. What is normal play to you? Such a weird accusation.
What should i accuse you of for not being able to contain your rage over a three week long wait?
People need to chill.
No you need to chill. Your entire comment comes down to essentially the fact that other people enjoy different things than you and you *somehow* can't come to grips with that
Weirdo
That "weirdo" at the end made me laugh. I do wonder why people behave like this on the internet. Name calling is such a juvenile thing and will get you punched in the face outside of Reddit.
Anyways, enjoy the wait.
Kim is cancer and a bad character on all levels. Her level 3 music is so bad it was the leading reason for me to disable the entire OST in the menu (and the rest of the OST is already had).
It make no sense.
This is a public event and they let everybody play the build. Even if they don't show picture/video, they will talk and write about it anyway so stuff will be leak. There is no NDA.
Unless they have some big announcements, this makes no sense. Even if they have big announcements, it still makes no sense unless they make everyone sign an NDA or something.
Perhaps it's just legal weirdness or them trying out something, but regardless there's gonna be leaked footage.
In a few hours we’ll have 240p video at weird camera angles
Not all heroes wear capes 🫡
no footage but people will write it up

Some characters DID get a nerf to their jabs which made it easier to check.

Yeah just like the Ed patch tweets, lots of jebaits
We'll see about that >:)
Hehehehe :3
Someone will leak, it just may not be in great detail lol
We'll see, we'll see...
So your doing a public Akuma test for everyone to play, but photo/video not allowed, kinda strange.

Pretty sure people will leak videos
Man Japanese companies can be so fucking weird. Here's hoping that in 30 years some of the dinosaurs behind these bonkers decisions have dried up.
Honestly i prefer to wait and read the full patch notes and go into the lab and experiment. It's just three weeks.
Seriously. I understand being passionate and having love for a game, but the way people fiend for early info is too much.
This!

People enjoy things at different levels just because you are a casual doesn't mean others are

Thanks, I will! Enjoy complaining to random redditors. Time well spent for you, I have no doubt
A lot of projection in this comment lmao. I’m pretty sure you suck at the game.
Get on. I'll 5-0 you with my alt I haven't played in 2 months and post it here
wow you are such a loser lol "get on, I'll 5-0" 😂
I'm looking forward to seeing how his BnB combos work and what the Combo guides on Youtube will say. Also, I need to get back to playing the game.
After waiting a whole year 3 weeks is too long I want akuma NOW
My friend, let the internet do its thing. Thank you 👍🏼
Just need someone to explain Kim Lily balance changes at least. Also people still gonna record.
Hopefully they just delete both characters from the game
Nah, Kim is an awesome addition but just needs a little buff love. Lily is just another braindead 50/50 character. I hope she stays bad.

Can't wait yo watch those videos

We won’t be allowed to, doesn’t mean we won’t
ohh i like his pose
I like the way posing choice, it's almost as if it's just missing a basket of fruit.
Now would be the time for Samsung S23 and S24 users to put that crazy zoom in use
Even Akuma looks annoyed at that.
My sfiv ptsd is kicking in

i still cannot believe not a SINGLE person recorded a single frame of footage
Buff Honda, nerf everyone else 🗿
