Oof, that’s a lot of rust.

wmederski

personally, hell no. that is low miles for the MY, but some of that subframe looks so rusted through it could be a safety issue. (this makes me so thankful not to live in a region that salts the roads...)

Zerodtl

Not a chance that's pretty well toast.

thebigshow99

That’s beyond rust, it’s rotten. I’d pay $50 for it, only cause the left rear strut looks newish. Then junk the rest.

ooga_booga_bo

Nope that's a goner

x_VisitenKarte_x

No absolutely not. Rust that widespread is the vehicular version of cancer. It’s just gonna keep spreading since it wasn’t caught early when the damage was easy to treat. If you have the money for a project car by all means, but if you’re trying to save money then don’t do it because this is going to cost between the purchase price, body shop repairs, and mechanical repairs as much as a used car that doesn’t have this damage to begin with. I paid $280 for a pinky nail sized piece of rust to be repaired that was caused by a leaky seal that trapped rain water under it, to give you an idea of what you’re looking at since this car is covered in rust. Edit for typos.

myinboxisfull69

Scrap value

slamsdickindoor

Hell no, that's a death trap in the making

Focus_driven

Doubt it would pass a safety

renegadecause

Absolutely not.

_mrfluid_

Car is scrap, that isn’t safe

ToDreamOfGhosts

absolutely not

Capt_Vandal

For a parts car... sure... to drive no.

nrg8

Tree fitty. Scrap value. Damn Bigfoot. There's nothing to weld too . I bet front frame rails are rusted thru. Won't be long before that trailing arm in the rear is dragging. Bet those rear stutt towers are rotten. Those rocker covers can be hide a lot and by the time you notice. Well it looks like this. But, congrats to the seller. Got some big nuts asking 4k after his mechanic put it out of service.

traineex

No And that quick strut is shitty and the wire is poorly zip tied. Bet that same guy did the head gaskets/timing w shitty parts

MeyrInEve

No. That’s clearly dangerous. Only if you’re comfortable doing a LOT of structural repair yourself.

mt-den-ali

All the bushings need replaced, they’re rotted. I’d pay $4,000 but I don’t really care if I have to structural, steering, and suspension work. Where I’m at that would be listed 6-8 grand. Offer $3500 and see what happens.

aandrews2080

Depends on engine and transmission. Also depends on long term goals for the vehicle.

Potential-Wrap3951

Mmmmm yes the rear cross-member, well looks like you gotta replace it, and when its this bad, the Hidden body-nuts that hold the four bolts that holds the rear-crossmember, are also probably half gone lose when you take away the bolts, so you will have to cut the body to fix that as well.

Western_Exercise_943

2 at best for me.

NepoDumaop

Next speed bump it's gonna collapse.

Michael_Threat

First picture I was mmm yeah, why not. But upon further inspection I just wouldn't buy this car for any amount of money. You're not gonna have it very long

CarobSwimming3276

Nope.

VeterinarianLess2265

I’m thinking more like $2k, that’s what I paid for my 01’ forester with 200,000 on it. And that was like 5 years ago, but it didn’t have that much rust, and a new clutch
