I'd like to find more stages where its possible, the method itself of using momentum to move is quite simple but i think a lot of stages don't allow for it to be totally possible.. But i am looking for more stages!
The part where it turns into a live TV recording reminds me of those mashups between an original and remixed theme, and they cut to just the original version for a second.

The momentum i think its mostly two factors
1. fast jump timing after ground pounding a slope
2. Fast jump timing from the ground each time you land from a jump
That's how to keep momentum for a long time, it took me a few attempts to get past the army of spiny enemies so for how long you can keep your momentum can really vary!

I do very much want a damage free and more smooth run at this stage too although its quite difficult to do it that way, my other runs have all been very smooth and damage free.

Haha, why though? i don't think it'd be possible for this stage anyway, but there is another stage where its possible to do it without twirls and ground pounds
Well, just for a little millisecond and then i did it while looking left.. but I suppose we can consider it a fault, I could've done something different!
Anyway even if you consider the end part a fault there is a lot more interesting things in the video to compliment instead \^\^
Ohhh did ya mean after the pipe???? Uhhh l mean they only looked right, not moved right, so probably consider it didn't count lol, atho, konata, never played this game, but very impressive!
they did in fact move right though. It doesn't make the run less impressive because this part looks easy to do properly, but if this was a speedrun category, then that would be disqualification. But I guess OP doesn't take it that serious. The actual challenge is the rest of the stage after all. It would have felt a bit more satisfying though.
I totally agree really! its not a speedrun category or anything with defined rules though, its just a showcase? A video of me playing a level in a strange way.
I did go right as I've admitted, I do take it seriously but I think it was just out of habit? In other stages where you start the stage by facing right, I'll go right for a tiny moment to get momentum and then do the rest by looking left.
But all excuses and silly things aside, It'd have made a lot more sense for the sake of the challenge to do a wall jump at the left wall, even though a wall jump will make you face right its still more in the spirit of the 'looking left' thing!

I'm glad i was able to do such a smooth mashup! I agree its totally like that, kinda like a "behind the scenes" shot in a video.
