Seconding Ralph! He’s assessed a lot of heirlooms for my family. He does custom stuff too- he’s taken some stones from old rings and made them into new rings for other family members. His son is great too!
M. Lemp is located downtown and has been around for over 100 years. I've never had anything appraised there, but I've shopped there and in general I think it's quite reputable.

IIRC he might be ANACS certified.
