What’s on the wall to the left where that seat is? If it’s an empty wall… tv stand obviously goes there.
I would rather not have any TV at all than mount it over a fireplace. This is actually a damn shame because it’s a nice looking room besides for the stupid looking TV. It’s beyond eye-sore. It really does look like fucking shit to the point that it’s almost offensive
If they really need to watch during the day, I would probably just use blinds or curtains that block all the light. Also not sure if that sunlight is from the morning or afternoon. If the sun sets on the other side, afternoon/evening would probably be fine.
I love how there is a person every day posting a tv that’s basically hanging from the ceiling, heavily tilted down, usually over a fireplace and they always ask if the TV is too high
What on earth would be too high if this wasn’t
Classic TV over the fireplace
Classic books as decoration
Classic framed "inspirational quotes"
Classic shelf succulents
Classic lack of curtains
Classic greyige sofa
All it needs is a "Live Laugh Love" sign, and the basic ass HGTV living room of the last decade and a half look will be complete. Oh, and paint the fireplace bricks white.
Goofy ass living room staged, so they post it to their 3 followers on Insta
Awful. Just awful.
TVs do not belong in many rooms. Especially today with the advent of iPads for personal viewing.
For this room, retractable screen ceiling mount and a projector, likely also mounted.
The atrocious paint job makes the TV an afterthought. Who cut the wall paint in next to the ceiling? They need glasses and less coffee so their hand shakes less.
Motherfucking fireplaces *again*! I’m starting to lose my sense of humour with all this. Fire goes in the fireplace, we can all agree on that. TV’s do not go above fireplaces quite as fucking certainly as fire goes in them. Yet here we are, again.
Why would it not count? Classic over the fireplace nonsense.
At least there are no cords showing. I'm thinking of starting a sub-reddit called: **YOUR-TV-IS-TOO-HIGH-❗AND❗-THE-CORDS-LOOK-LIKE-SHIT.**
This is disgusting.
Does this count?....good god. This is the reason this page was created, for monstrosities just like this.... 🤮

What about the glare from the windows though?

Probably stands for 15 minutes at a time staring at the tv before moving on to the next task.
Please feel free to roast so I can show the owner.
When living room fireplace, storage, and chatchke collection is more important than watching TV.
LMAO
So that’s how chatchke is spelled
actually it’s tchotchke
It absolutely counts as a shitty paint job as well

I’m having a harder time with the paint job
It’s the pitiful handful of books for me. They’re probably Phone books /

Maybe it’s just what Atlas deserves
You can put a TV in front of a window. I know wives hate this, but you gotta do what ya gotta do.
This is the reason this sub exists, bud.
This is a hate crime

TV placement just as good as that highlighted movie
That TV is high, unlike the owners IQ and common sense.
Just like the rest of the majority of livings rooms. Fireplace with TV right above. It is disheartening the lack of common sense.🙄
Atlas 🤢

Make it a little higher so you can add the missing crown molding over it too
why wouldn’t it?
No words to describe how I feel about this.
Huge violation. Terrible.

Yes. All these TVs over fireplaces start to take a toll
Looks awesome :-)
Where else would you put it
