I feel that to me the biggest strength of this album lies in the opening track. I ALWAYS feel in a mood to listen to Lavender Haze. And once I press play on the first track, I just can't stop. The songs keep rolling š The only two albums with such good openers are Rep, Red, and Fearless. I also feel like the pacing of Midnights is perfect. Only Reputation has an equally good tracklist.
Not really. A while back i saw this post where they asked to pick one favourite song from each era. So, i decided to pick top 4 of each album (started with three but ended up being 4). I made a playlist of those songs and it was hard, really hard.
I then asked my bf to guess my top 4's of all the albums (he's a swiftie too). I had so much fun with that and i then shared that playlist with him.
So now I've been listening to that playlist for quite a while now and i loveee it so much.
Midnights is my favorite album! I even found piano covers of it to fall asleep to (used to listen to folklore to fall asleep)
Itās been long enough now that I donāt feel like itās recency bias. I just love it completely.
Iāve done song rankings for it every couple of weeks since it came out and itās crazy how much my favorites have changed from week to week- thatās a sign of a great album to me, when my favorites are constantly switching up.
I love the things Taylor is experimenting with on this album and look forward to seeing where she goes next.

Yes! I think thatās whatās surprised me. I havenāt gotten tired of it, or lost in all the hype. It just keeps getting better with each listen imo. I agree. Canāt wait to see what she does next or what songs will come out of the vault on her next TV.
