I was listening to the Office Ladies podcast and they had a guest who talked about how Steve was filming in New York and was constantly being stopped by fans. They said he was so happy to meet people and was as nice to the last fan after a full day of filming as he was to the first. I think he and Taylor are both people who have real gratitude for the fans who got them where they are.

Such a fun read as a huge office fan and a new TS fan. His impression of her is exactly what drew me to sit down and listen to her music. She really does seem to be genuine and that seems extra special today when most people seem so very plastic.
I don’t understand people who hate on Taylor because she’s nice. She’s always been nice. Even to people who have done her wrong and look how that ended. To say she’s fake because she likes people and wants to get along with everyone is crazy. My son’s best friend is also like her and she doesn’t have many friends. I would say it’s probably out of jealousy since she’s an amazing singer but how can people really “hate” someone that is nice to them. Pisses me off. Go hate people who are mean to you and are straight-up AHs. Ok rant over.

I think it's people's warped way of hating something good- the fact that Taylor seems to be a sweet person pisses them off because *they* are bitter humans. They're determined to find flaws in her behaviour even when she's being nice (just think of the Grammy incident with Lana del Rey), and it's so so awful.
Yes, we don't know her personally but I think it's really difficult to fake an entire persona to everyone for *so* long. Also, recently I read an article posted on this sub about how TS had been as a kid and everyone describes her as sweet and chatty. She has also been kind to so many of her friends (say Sophie Turner) and fans, and all people want is to sweep all of that under the rug saying it's just for show. The world is a really bad place.

Thank you! 🫶 I agree with you on how it’s hard to fake an entire persona for so long. There are plenty of celebs who do that and stories get leaked about how awful they are behind the scenes. Not only that, you can almost always spot when the mask drops on video. No one is that good of an actor. 🥴
I'm a nice, cheerful person and my best friend from college told me years later her first impression of me for *months* was "fake psycho bitch" because nobody could be that nice if they weren't being manipulative 😂 her life was really fucked up, but yeah it's a thing, just auto distrusting happy/kind/bubbly/sweet people lol. I kinda get it, though I'm more used to people trusting others wayyy too much for zero reason
Steve runs a little shop somewhere around the Cape Cod area and occasionally mans the register and makes small talk with the locals as if he’s not incredibly globally famous. Everyone adores him.
This story should surprise no one. It’s just who she is. It’s not an act. If it was she would have slipped up and been caught out by now. She is quite simply a thoroughly decent human being who has never forgotten where her success comes from.
