Well, this is brilliant, I have these same pot holders and never even thought about that. You could just mix up a thin real grout to use as grout. Might be cleaner.

Holy crap! When I wanted hexagonal tiles I chopped a section off a pencil, made a mould from it and individually cast dozens of tiles - and I could have just done this!

fredl0bster

Holy shit hahaha that sounds awful!

TheMightyGoatMan

I'll go with 'meditative' ;D

U can use plaster as well as resin, mix in a bit of wallpaint for added survival of corners. Watered down pva after applying to make it last for ever Then u dont need to grout it, and have waaaaaaay better texture on your tiles. Also if u want a ruined floor.... just add some pressure before throwing some pva on the floor to seal it. Enjoy

Great idea! Definitely going to steal it :)

DangerousEmphasis607

Lucky you you found those in hex. I can’t get any

myrealaccount_really

Dollar store and Walmart have a billion cheap options. You can usually pick up individual or even multipacks for less than $10

DangerousEmphasis607

Germany: no wallmart or dollar store. Most mats here are plain squares :(

Budget-Possession720

Amazeballs. I use mini ice cube trays to make stone cubes out of clay usually. Sharing is caring.

kagius

Cool idea!

Ulysses1979

myrealaccount_really

TheMartyr781

awesome idea. what is the size of these? could be an awesome way to make Battletech terrain as well.

WannabeAGhoatStory

Oh, they’re tiny, 5mm across

TheMartyr781

ah gotcha. yeah they'd need to be 90 x 90 mm
