When you build it in your world, it won't look exactly the same because I am using a texture pack, but the base of it is made out of gray brick. The roof is mud brick the four pillars are wooden beams and the back of it is made out of normal wood walls
Something that might look good is if at the bottom of the hellevator, there was something at the end of the rope that looks like it would be used to carry ores up and down the hole

Yeah I use Dynamite for a bit and then switch to normal bombs. So I got thinner over time and then at a point I just switched to just A normal teo wide hole

The walls that look like pillars are wooden beams and behind. The beams are just normal wooden walls The reason they look different is cuz I have the calamity textures

I added the hole to butter up the golfer.
It's fine, but the bridge part of it holding the building needs way more support; how would that thing survive? Just a bit of indentation into the sides of the mountain and you should be good

I've never once thought of or heard of rope being used in a hellevator. Would certainly make the one achievement for going from hell to overworld faster than Flying/Grappling.
That looks really cool, I like the rope for players who don't have wings or when you just want to grab and chill while you mess with your inventory. I'm gonna start building a small building over it now everytime I play

Dynamite hole where only a 2 block gap isn't lethal
Bonus points if you only blow yourself up 20 times while building it
I usually dig mine of width 3 (but always odd-numbered), because I can not stand the off-center rope inside... :D

I dont use rope in my hellavators because im typically using cloud in a bottle by that point

for me the fact they put a building on a hellivator means they probably made nice npc houses, i don’t even bother with that anymore.
I put my main base above the hellivator.
if the hellivator isn't going straight down from the middle of my base, then its probably right outside the front door.
i mostly play modded so magic storage at spawn and hellivator with in 10 block. i’ve gotten far to lazy to even make a room or walls
