Clentaminate the edge. Those blocks out of sight can absolutely be corrupted.

BitBit13

That looks like a 2 block trench, you need 3 to limit the spread iirc. You've probably got the answer

Electrical_Anagram

If possible do at least 5

readingduck123

That is only if there was grass or something that could grow in the tunnel

Holy_Hand_Grenadier

I like a nice 6 so I can just use two rows of scarab bombs

CrissZx

I just throw dinamite till i'm satisfied with the depth on both sides. Then i dig twice in a straight line (3 blocks left and right. 6 blocks total) connecting both trenches) and call it a day

Adeord_Leaner_18

Bro you only did 2 blocks you should do at least 4

Aidenture

both my oceans got corrupted by crimson and i cleared one and blocked the crimson from spreading but the crimson seems to be spreading from off screen. is this is a bug or if there is anyway i can fix this?

fluger69

Clemtaminate off screen or increase the gap to like 4-5 blocks. Can also fill it with un-corruptible blocks if you don’t want just a hole

devourerofcocks

You can fix it, theres probably just crimson under the beach

spudwalt

How wide is that gap on the end of the ocean? It needs to be at least 3 wide to stop biome spread from crossing it.

ludoni

isn't that due to vines, thorns and crystals?

spudwalt

In hardmode, all biome blocks spread biomes to susceptible blocks within 3 tiles. A 3-wide gap means there's nothing to spread to within range. Vines and thorns can extend past that range and spread biomes farther, but they only grow from grass. Grass does not grow on sand. Crystals don't spread biomes.

ludoni

ic, thought the spread was only towards adjacent blocks and the 3 gap was because thorns would touch the other side and spread it thus my comment cuz those indeed do not grow in sand

Gammaboy45

Thorns are why people make even bigger gaps than that. Hardmode spread range is 3 blocks, that’s why you get the dithering pattern on conversion edges.

spudwalt

Biomes spread to adjacent blocks in prehardmode. Hardmode makes them spread farther and to more blocks than just grass. Thorns/vines can bridge gaps in prehardmode, too, but hardmode makes them radiate biomes like everything else, so they can spread *much* farther. Best to just not give them the chance to grow in the first place.

undecidedpotate

Somehow… crimson came back

sogoooo777779

Break those blocks right at the edge. Its just outside the map and spreading from there.

amogus2004

make the trench at least 1 block wider to block the spread

gozongus_ULTRA

Crimson strikes back.

RhinataMorie

Biome sight potions + patience + DIGDIGDIG

Automatic-Big2287

Ash is a good block and cheap block for controlling corruption and crimson biomes

FutureComplaint

Ash won't do anything if the gap is only 2 blocks wide.

Automatic-Big2287

Also it must be 4-7 blocks wide

TheSpudGunGamer

It’s out of bounds.

Snak3L0rd135

Check world edit for corrupted sand on the edge of the world

elmiloxd

terraria really is an incredible game, the only thing that keeps it from being perfect is the spread of hallow and corruption/crimson

Kattenb

Make it 3 wide :)

PanginTheMan

there are a few layers of blocks outside of your screen, you will need to use a clentaminator to ensure that it’s removed. don’t settle for less, blast that shit or it will come back.
