I remember playing getfixedboi with my friend and after an entire night of playing, we had barely made progress digging upwards, and probably had several hundred deaths. Yet it was still fun.
For your cake day, have some bubble wrap!

I'm the Min-Maxer. My gaming buddy is you. I usually lay out a pathway of things we need to do and she just does it without questioning. She loves the game but just has no idea what's going on.
She now has full solar flare armor and zenith, and can solo the moon lord with no buffs, but doesn't know how to use her ruler or smart cursor.
mismatched armor just feels so wrong to equip, even in the early game. only exception for mismatched armor would be going for regen or sumn in the endgame, but that's just a different kind of min-maxing lol
valhalla makes sense to me, but any particular reason behind dark artist pants? is it just more defense? the master mode mage experience truly is just getting one tapped by a lot of things xD so that would make sense too
Yeah mainly defense xD but it give 25 extra crit chance for magic weapons so good for damage too
Edit: It also gives 20% movement speed, good for dodging
oooh, i didn't know about those bonuses. i don't mind old one's army, so maybe i'll try it out someday- being a bulkier mage definitely sounds appealing xD sentries are also fun to mess around with, so bonuses to those too are a cherry on top
Yeah I can’t use anything other than warding, +4 defense compared to damage is way better (unless your really good at dodging and want damage to beat boss faster)
A mix of the first two. In other games, I'm the "defense doesn't matter if I don't get hit" guy, but I just can't dodge for the life of me in Terraria for some reason
Definitely the min max. It's like every argument of Batman V Anyone and fans are "well if he has the prep time..." I fucking love that prep time. I'll do everything I need to do in the game that will get me the smallest edge in combat.
I like prepping but I hate prepping potions with harder ingredients. I mainly try and beat the boss 10 times with iron skin and regen before giving in to endurance and shiz
Min maxer every time and it's exhausting. I wish I could just sit back and enjoy any game I play nowadays. I've been trying Noita, and that game doesn't give two $@#!s about how much fun you are having, it is 'git gud' gaming through and through lol
Min maxer for sure.
With 2000+ hours in terraria, I get no joy if I am not playing at the utmost most min max state for every stage of the game. Feels like wasted potential.
This includes building literally cities in each biome before doing a single boss.
I must set up pylon system first, while also making my world look nice. Then, as I go through the game unlocked more blocks, I upgrade the looks of the buildings and homes.
But yeah, I only do this in single player worlds. When in multiplayer with friends, it's just a matter of getting a decent ranger set (ranger class ftw), and going with it.
I used to do all my pylons hard mode but then realized the point of pylons is to travel places fast and not die, I try and make a nice house but then it ends up looking like a fancy shoebox…
My muscle memory for dodging after all those tedious hours of replicating Ningishu's playthroughs of Terraria, I can confidently fight bosses with 0 armor provided I have the right mobility to play through it
I used to be a min maxer , until during a random master mode playthrough , eye of cthulhu spawned while i had only a tungsten helm , moon lord legs , a warding stepstool, an aglet and 260 health , i killed it with a gravity potion and a gold bow with regular fire arrows
I'm absolutely the "fuck it" until the strongest armor available rolls around. I don't really care for the pre-HM armor that isn't class armor. Like what is 10 defense gonna do for me
i go for whatever set bonus is most useful to me. usually that means starting with cactus armour despite playing predominantly as a mage, then moving on to a metal, then jungle, then meteor. my current playthrough I actually went from meteor to ancient cobalt just because i wasn't really making use of the space gun
As someone who has beaten the game MULTIPLE TIMES on For the Worthy in vanilla and modded, I can confirm that I'm the third guy because minishark is a fucking beast
the "i really like these few weapons specifically so i'm going to base my entire run on buffing their class until i need a new weapon." (vampire knives and flairon especially those two are S-tier melee weapons)
I always pick a random basic helmet like silver, then use it as my head vanity the entire playthrough with whatever armor i have at the time. Looks pretty cool with good dyes imo
Any amount of armor below 20 (or basically in the earlygame) is completely useless, so if i do craft armor i make the jungle one, because it's the easiest one to get that gives the most armor
Everything in master kills you in 4 hits so I just do whatever until EOW since after that armor provides benefits other than defense. Jungle/ fossil is also an option. In early game the only armor you need are heart crystals, Hermes boots, and a grapple.
I’m a partial minmaxer, in that I prefer being as prepared as possible before fighting, but still fight and lose before I’m even remotely done preparing cuz “””practice”””
I… well, I just get what I like most, what is easier to carry on with. Of course, it always takes testing different stuff, but that’s just another and really enjoyable part
I’m firmly in the “I have no idea what I’m doing but at least I’m enjoying it” camp.
I like to do that but the secret seeds tend to turn it into “I have no idea what I’m doing and I don’t want to be here anymore”
I remember playing getfixedboi with my friend and after an entire night of playing, we had barely made progress digging upwards, and probably had several hundred deaths. Yet it was still fun.
I love playing the ***adhd*** class. Defenitely one of the best.
For your cake day, have some bubble wrap! >>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<>!pop!!<
Oh my goodness this is so cool!
Happy cake day! And thats the best part of terraria lmao
Same lol and happy cake day
I fall more into the ***AAAAAAAAAHHHH*** category because the game is constantly kicking my ass
Same
Min-Maxer all the way.
Truly the only way
Agreed
A mix between min maxer and whatever.
Literally
Same
whatever-maxer
Min max the armor, freestyle everything else because I cannot be fucked to spend 1000 gold trying to get the Goblin Tinkerer to give me a good reforge
+10% damage? just dodge 10% better, fuck it we ball
20 minutes or more of shimmer for legendary baby WOOOO
Peak Min-Max — Soul of Eternity
Only peak if it’s pre-boss
Min maxer on armor and weapons, the whatever on accesories (I get that shit 10000 years from when I was intended to get it)
I'm at hail Mary camp
I feel like the min maxer is the one with 1/3 armor from three different sets that the wiki says is best in slot for current boss level
Wearing a set for a stat boost is min-maxing now?
more like getting the best possible set for the current stage of the game
Hail Mary -> Doesn't work -> Min-maxing
Both "F it, we ball" and min maxer
Min maxing is key to victory.
I am pretty whatever early game, but slowly convert into the Min-Maxer by the end
mismatched armor just feels so wrong to equip, even in the early game. only exception for mismatched armor would be going for regen or sumn in the endgame, but that's just a different kind of min-maxing lol
Only way I could beat moonlord master mage was with 3 different pieces of armor lol
omg xD what'd you end up going with in the end? ive never done hybrid builds or mixing and matching armor pieces cuz it just feels so wrong lol
Spectre mask, Valhalla and dark artist pants. It did feel wrong without the set bonus and stuff ;(
valhalla makes sense to me, but any particular reason behind dark artist pants? is it just more defense? the master mode mage experience truly is just getting one tapped by a lot of things xD so that would make sense too
Yeah mainly defense xD but it give 25 extra crit chance for magic weapons so good for damage too Edit: It also gives 20% movement speed, good for dodging

min maxer (and +4 defense acessories)
Yeah I can’t use anything other than warding, +4 defense compared to damage is way better (unless your really good at dodging and want damage to beat boss faster)
Seeing as most of my playthroughs nowadays are modded difficulties, min-max is pretty much the only way to progress in those
True True, I wanna play calamity one day :( but I guess I’m stuck with my switch for now
A mix of the first two. In other games, I'm the "defense doesn't matter if I don't get hit" guy, but I just can't dodge for the life of me in Terraria for some reason
Wish I had that perspective, I’m a defense *Incase* I get hit guy 😬
I'm a min-maxer but ALWAYS either wear'familiar clothing' or dress up like a fly/bee and wear bee wings. 🔥 Dress up 🔥
Yeah armor ugly 🥴 I try and go with a different look each play through
You forgot the "fuck it we ball"
Isn't that the third one?
At first I was in the meh whatever camp Then I minmaxed defence a couple times Then I'm just firmly in the "Fuck it, we ball" category
I usually run Min-Maxxer because I do difficult challenges. Whenever I do a casual run I instead prefer the +FUCK IT WE BALL option.
I'm all three of those players
Definitely the min max. It's like every argument of Batman V Anyone and fans are "well if he has the prep time..." I fucking love that prep time. I'll do everything I need to do in the game that will get me the smallest edge in combat.
I like prepping but I hate prepping potions with harder ingredients. I mainly try and beat the boss 10 times with iron skin and regen before giving in to endurance and shiz
I'm the kind of person to get molten armor and terraspark boots before beating a boss. So probably min-maxer
Me too 😅 I got PDA Terrapark and best armor before WoF
Min maxer every time and it's exhausting. I wish I could just sit back and enjoy any game I play nowadays. I've been trying Noita, and that game doesn't give two $@#!s about how much fun you are having, it is 'git gud' gaming through and through lol
Enjoyment in video games? Impossible
Min maxer for sure. With 2000+ hours in terraria, I get no joy if I am not playing at the utmost most min max state for every stage of the game. Feels like wasted potential. I used to do all my pylons hard mode but then realized the point of pylons is to travel places fast and not die, I try and make a nice house but then it ends up looking like a fancy shoebox…
My pylon strategy is “use materials from the biome, make box houses”
My muscle memory for dodging after all those tedious hours of replicating Ningishu's playthroughs of Terraria, I can confidently fight bosses with 0 armor provided I have the right mobility to play through it
im always over prepared and still die because of my skill issue
I used to be a min maxer , until during a random master mode playthrough , eye of cthulhu spawned while i had only a tungsten helm , moon lord legs , a warding stepstool, an aglet and 260 health , i killed it with a gravity potion and a gold bow with regular fire arrows
I’m the whatever guy 😂 mainly just like building shit
I'm the one to het the stuff to do the most damage possible, to the point where my defense is nearly nonexistent! (Calamity revengence btw)
How's that different from the whatever
Mixed armor vs no armor.
Min-Maxer for sure, one of my worlds i had terraspark boots pre skeletron😭😭
Look if it's %damage it's 100% going on the build
I am very much a min maxer for crit chance
I've played so much that I've memorized the basic progression of weapons & armour.
For eye, im usually random with armor but after eater, i put the full sets on
I'm absolutely the "fuck it" until the strongest armor available rolls around. I don't really care for the pre-HM armor that isn't class armor. Like what is 10 defense gonna do for me
The Hail marry whatever
Me trying to max out attack speed I AM SPEED
3
im the "im on classic so fuck it we ball" with no armor and a wooden bow with flaming arrows
I play modded so min maxer is kind of required but sometimes I slack
min-max so I can not get killed in 3 hits
Combo plater lol
I'm the Batman of min maxers
I am “head empty, mage summoner DPS master mode destroyer”.
Definitely the min-maxer
I am the one who tries to do class restricted hardcore runs on for the worthy legendary. The self hater?
i dunno man, i got so much cosmetics i forgot what im wearing
i go for whatever set bonus is most useful to me. usually that means starting with cactus armour despite playing predominantly as a mage, then moving on to a metal, then jungle, then meteor. my current playthrough I actually went from meteor to ancient cobalt just because i wasn't really making use of the space gun
I choose a class at the start and then min-max it until the end. (so no terrablade on summoner. Only whips)
As someone who has beaten the game MULTIPLE TIMES on For the Worthy in vanilla and modded, I can confirm that I'm the third guy because minishark is a fucking beast
damage maxxer until i saw [this video](https://youtu.be/VdNATCHC-4M?si=HHJ4N-qHtr51y6Io) next play through i will lean more heavily into defense.
All of them, all at once
I’m in the it’s worth doing it’s worth overdoing camp
the "i really like these few weapons specifically so i'm going to base my entire run on buffing their class until i need a new weapon." (vampire knives and flairon especially those two are S-tier melee weapons)
I usually go whatever because i do like max aemor i have no idea what minmax is interms of accessories
Min-Maxer is a must for Calamity
I always pick a random basic helmet like silver, then use it as my head vanity the entire playthrough with whatever armor i have at the time. Looks pretty cool with good dyes imo
which is the stupidity option
The three Ms: MinMax Mage
Born to f it we ball forced to min max in calamity death gfb
"Maximize the stats" person
min maxer all the way
I'm a mix of "min-max" and "f*ck it, hail marry!" Probally cause I mostly play modded and defense feels like it doesn't matter half the time
I used to be min-maxer but that got boring so i switched to whatever to explore more weapons
Usually I'm the whatever until fighting EoC after that I'm min maxing
Any amount of armor below 20 (or basically in the earlygame) is completely useless, so if i do craft armor i make the jungle one, because it's the easiest one to get that gives the most armor
Pumpkin armor
Honestly I’ve played to many times to have a class, I just get a strong one until I get the next one or a better weapon
Everything in master kills you in 4 hits so I just do whatever until EOW since after that armor provides benefits other than defense. Jungle/ fossil is also an option. In early game the only armor you need are heart crystals, Hermes boots, and a grapple.
The "grind absolutely everything that can be grinded in every stage of the game to prolong the playthrough as much as possible" type
I try number 3 then go for number 2 if I fail
min-maxer until you reach chlorophyte as mage bc its just better to mix it with the hallowed chestplate honestly
Min maxer. Im doing a legendary run.
I’m the guy who would play with friends only to fish most of the time alone
I’m whatever until hardmode. After that you have to min max or die trying.
The pre mech fishron master mode for the worthy one.
Min max, can't leave pre hardmode without bundle of balloons.
In expert mode, somewhere between ‘The Whatever’ and ‘Min-Maxer,’ but in modded content and master mode definitely min maxer
Bee hive.
min max
I grab whatever weapons i feel like getting, usually forget armor, then charge at the boss and hope that i can dodge.
The real min-maxer is represented not by the gear he wears, but by the asphyxiating odour of cheese from the exploitative arenas he has built.
From left to right: Vanity, armor/accessories/weapons, play style
"Stat numbers look high, that's good enough for me"
Regrettably I've become the min-maxer in vanilla. With modded I usually have no idea what does what so I'm just whatever
I have yet to meet one that can outsmart boolet.
Hail merry especially in classic
f it all in normal mode, the whatever in expert mode, and min maxer in master mode
I’m a partial minmaxer, in that I prefer being as prepared as possible before fighting, but still fight and lose before I’m even remotely done preparing cuz “””practice”””
Definitely maxer
Hail mary I always forget to make armor
Depends on the challenge/difficulty. Mostly, The Summoner
I’m a lazy min-maxer, I go for some stuff but eventually stop because I get bored
Probably a min-Maxee
I'm the line between min maxer and f it all.
Minmaxer
Min max until I say f it, we ball
Hail mary
IN ALL THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH,I ALONE AM THE HONORED ONE IMAGINERY TEHNIC HOLLOW RAINBOW
2 if i died over 5 times, and 3 if i'm feeling confident
The staby staby sword man
Fishing pro
Min-max i guess
Hail Mary going into the master mode crimson with 6 sticky bombs and a few blocks of dirt to get 2 crimson hearts bombed right at the start
i’m in the camp of “wander until you reach your destination”
All 3 at the same time
Trying to minmax and failing miserably
Min maxer but sometimes I hail mary it
I… well, I just get what I like most, what is easier to carry on with. Of course, it always takes testing different stuff, but that’s just another and really enjoyable part
depends if it's an expert mode playthrough or not
