Make sure you stay underground jungle otherwise she is faster and hit WAY more hard make a good arena in underground jungle like 100blockx100block square with platform and some campfire and lifelamp and the most important ... Honey at the bottom just enough to get the buff ant come back up big circle around her is key!
They're really easy to craft, 3 pixie dust and 1 unicorn horn gives you 200 holy arrows. If you have one of those small volcano farms you can basically just go AFK and get stacks of pixie dust and like 30 unicorn horns after an hour or two.
My situation was pretty specific, I was running a mostly mage expert run and couldn't beat plantera, so I quickly switched to ranged to take it out quickly so I could proceed to post-plantera (best part for mage imo.) I didn't really know or care about farming and knew that chlorophyte arrows were 9999999999x quicker and easier to make (1 bar for like 150 arrows is extremely busted.) Ever since this experience I have asserted that A) Chlorophyte arrows are underrated, and B) Magic Quiver is absolutely essential for bow rangers since I took out plantera immediately after I got one

I went mage then did the grind for venom staff worked very well and I played master mode problem I don’t think the poison helped but it did pierce so good and fun

No, for true Excalibur you need chlorophite, for true night edge you need 5 of each Mech boss soul. For terra blade you need a broken hero sword. The only thing that drops them only spawns in post-plantera solar eclipse.
Last time I fought plantera I used a different tactic, rectangle arena, but instead its vertical and almost reaching hell, and if all goes right, half of the fight happens going down, and the other half going up using either wings and hook and/or gravitation potions, and if it lasts more than that you can just go back down again.
Of course this is an outright cheese, but it aint stopping nobody anyway XD
Also hellevator + gravitation potions against the mechs also works, hope this helps!
Tip : if plantera exits you screen view, she gets a massive boost of speed to get back in and probably slapping you in the face. 2nd phase just dodge lol
I made a big ass arena and actually only used 50% of the space made. Occasionally dip self on honey and use nimbus rod if you have, it's useful. I was also rocking with true nights edge and it was easier than the twins for me.
The worst fucking part is to resummon her if you die you need to find another bulb, which is even worse if you built an arena specifically for her lmao

I just carve out a tiny rectangle and chuck up a platform bridge. I honestly hate making arenas.
I don't mind it but I just use dynamite to blow out a big square and then 2 long hellevator type things for going up and down during stage 2
I had to go with crystal bullets for plantera, the clorophyte ones kept locking onto the small tentacles
I always take out the tentacles, they’re what decided to kill me the first time around.
She's never that bad in the regular difficulties, but in FTW she's a pain in the ass. So many tentacles...

Always have an arena or a rail system ready and Plantera is a cake walk
I'd recommend using the flairon or the razerblade typhoon. Tsunami would make it too easy.

Make a arena to circle at phase 1 and make a track around the jungle temple for phase 2
I have never had a problem with plantera. Spend maybe 10 minutes making a good, large arena and you can easily outrun it while it is enraged.
