Are you new here? This sub has become nothing more than: What will Tesla prices do? Is this car I already bought a good deal? How much will it cost to fix this dumbass accident I got into because my car doesnāt have USS? The answer to all three is: How the fuck should we know?
The other post about entering bankruptcy and what credit card should I use for my Tesla now pushed me over the edge! When I pointed out the abusirity of that he said he canāt afford the gas for the 70 mile commute. I even got downvoted, go figure. This is turning into a BMW like culture, same idiots.
It might. I just bought mine three weeks ago and it was a big investment for me but I wonāt feel ripped off it they due because I love the car so much.
Yea itās a big investment for me also. Thatās why Iām trying to get as much information as possible before I buy. But after getting almost 8k off with a tax credit how much more of a better deal can I expect.
Enjoy it man. My one bit of advice. Get your charging sorted out as soon as you decide to place the order. Donāt delay on that. My first week waiting for my charger was oddly very stressful
This last drop was to move inventory while the fed tax credit of 7500 is active. Itās unlikely to drop lower since the credit can disappear in a couple of weeks and orders take at least around 1-2 weeks to fulfill. It may even go up a bit. Thereās also a chance it may stay but go down a bit around late March when they need to clean out quarterly inventory so take your pick.
Maybe because it comes up so frequently? And after several years of following this sub, I canāt recall a single time where someone said āPrice cuts coming in x daysā and they were correct. You will see all the Tesla subs flooded with posts when there is an actual price change because it is always a surprise. So here we have another person asking a bunch of internet strangers to predict the future, hoping that one of them is a Tesla insider who is willing to risk his job by leaking confidential information for karma points.
I get your point , itās rare that someone knows for sure. There are decent indicators though . Increased federal rebate limit , HW4 on the horizon (reductions aimed at combatting Osborne effect ) . While nobody knows for sure Iād assume increase are not too far away as project highland and hardware 4 roll out soon. I could be wrong of course which I guess is your point about nobody stating with absolute certainty that it will on date X
OTOH, one of the main motivations for project Highland is to reduce build costs, according to Elon. So that could result in price reduction, although demand seems to be the biggest factor and depending on how it is sustained and what the Treasury department decides next month, it could go either way. So we can throw out as many hypotheticals as we want, but the bottom line is that none of us know.

I donāt see another price drop happening. Hereās whyā¦Thereās a post from a recent buyer who tried to buy a Prius but instead got the 3. Toyota marked up the vehicle by $10k above the MSRP. This made buying the 3 substantially more economical. Iāve been looking for some slightly used Priusās and am running into the same issue. Iām not seeing this markup situation ceasing anytime soon. Canāt believe that it is probably going to be cheaper for me to buy a base 3 for the same price as a marked up prius (not even one with leather etc).
I'm betting that the price will drop again. The Model 3 is going to be refreshed later this year and there's a ton of existing inventory. Even with the current price and tax credit, people aren't buying enough of these cars. Likely there will be a big push to clear out inventory towards the end of March.
I donāt think you will see price drops like whatās going on now again. And given the tax credit could disappear/ change if the threshold goes up then you could actually see a price increase. Given a new refresh I would expect the price to go up. Especially since Elon said HW4 was going to be way too costly to retrofit older models Iām assuming some new tech added which will increase the price. Now is probably the cheapest youāll get a model 3. If youāre shopping used different storyā¦ there are amazing deals out there right now but next year you could get something cheaper since the tax credit for used Evs will come right off the top. That being said I recently picked up a ā19 with 60k miles for 24k.
Two very real possibilities here: 1. It will 2. It will not how tf do u expect any of us to know

And the should I buy this used Tesla just as expensive as a new one but with 40k miles
And some dipshit commenting "totaled". This sub is on the spectrum

And legit maybe a credit check. Iām getting anxiety from some peoples stupid financial moves

Lol shiit. I just left the sub lol
Oh thereās a credit check alright lol. Tesla will make sure of that.
I agree. People treat this site like fake question Quora
nah that would be exclusionary to the bible belt and inbred community, and 2023 is all about acceptance I'd rather shame him as an individual
I mean, technically every model 3 is dropping in price over time..
Yes No
Wrong! Itās: NO YES
Maybe š¤Ŗ

If you are buying a car as an āinvestmentā, you have bigger issues
Purchase, not investment

Who cares! I hear your kids gonna do worse in school next semester is this true?
Knowing my kid yes ššš
Probably not, my local tesla location (pnw) can't even keep up with delivery demand. They are booked out over a month for deliveries

Yes, the price will drop. Better not buy one now because they will only get cheaper. In a few years they should be under $10k!
Why are people offended by this question ? Some might have an inside scoop ā¦.

Point taken :) I think Iād still bet on red (price going up) Largely a bet admittedly
My point exactly. I actually saw two articles saying it will in the next week. I figured maybe someone else saw it too

Yes. No. Maybe.
it's like the stock market. if you know for sure, then you either have insider trading info or simply guessing.
Yes to $39990!
